We have tried every place in town with pure disappointment and stumbled upon Suplex during a drive. Absolutely outstanding. Love all of their burritos. You get generous portions for a good price - $4-$6! The breakfast burritos are what I mostly recommend. The Americano Breakfast Burrito is probably my favorite. The tacos were a little spicy and fish portion wasn't huge, but they tasted fresh and great. Anything with cilantro is going to be great in my book. I wanted to love everything. Great branding and better than decent customer service, but our food fell flat. My steak did not taste fresh or recently cooked and it was a bit overcooked. Just went for the first time tonight. I had the tacos and they were really good but not the best I've ever had. The steak was a little dry but they have a great flavor. The spicy pork was really good. I really want to go back and try the 6 1 9 burrito. The customer service was excellent and the restaurant was supremely clean (including rest rooms). This is your No Frills Taco joint. There's no ambience here unless you're really into fluorescent lighting. That's not a dig - I'm just making sure you have the right expectations. These folks make some fantastic tacos and burritos. In town for business, my colleague and I were glad we found it (especially because we drove by it twice before finding it). Now, it shares a building with a petrol station convenience store, but if you're willing to give it a try you will be rewarded handsomely with some delicious Mexican fare. I had the fish tacos and the burrito with chicken and tofu in it (can't remember the name). Both were excellent. They have a great selection of free hot sauces, and if you are BRAVE enough I challenge you to spend the extra $6 and buy their homemade Lucha Fever bottled hot sauce (it's yours to keep and take home). If you can eat that and not break a sweat then no one will ever question your fortitude. When in town I will be back! read more

What can I say other than I am glad I took the advice on here and went to a gas station taco stand! I had their "famous" beer battered fish tacos... They were delicious! Just enough of everything on them, from the sauce to the cabbage to the tomatoes. I even had a hard time not eating them too fast because they were so good! I also ordered a side of rice and beans. The refried beans, which I'm picky about, or probably some of the best I have had in years! I would definitely recommend to anyone to stop at the Shell gas station and walk straight into Suplex tacos! Their street tacos are really good and they have a great deal where you get three tacos for 5.49! They top them with onion, cilantro, and guacamole! You definitely don't need much more. Taco joint inside of a rather old gas station (for those acclimated to the area, this is where Gyro King used to be). The guys that work here are super friendly and you can tell they are passionate about the food. Most of the taco variations here are of the typical variety but, they do have some interesting specialties (a tofu burrito, a super-stuffed burrito with chicken, steak and, yes, french fries.) Prices are comparable to a certain, nameless taco chain so there is an even added incentive to eat here. All in all: this place is pretty easy to recommend. read more

We travel from Huntington about once every two weeks to go to Suplex. It's my favorite local burrito place. The staff take great pride in their restaurant and the food. They are always pleasant and go out of their way to make sure you have the best possible experience. The food is great, too. I think I have officially tried everything. I have yet to have a poor experience; every time I go the food is homogenous in quality to the time before. Currently my favorite is the tag-team burrito, which is relatively low in calories and freaking delicious. I really hope they will branch out soon. I foresee myself coming back to the area in 30 years and them still being here. They will most definitely be a staple. read more

Extremely delicious, and you have to love the decor. Photographs of masked wrestlers adorn the walls and there's a rack of wrestling masks. Much to my dismay, none of the staff were in masks, although I was assured that they did so on Halloween. The prices were quite reasonable and the food was authentic, even to the point of having more refried beans than meat in my burrito. Small minuses, it's part of a gas station, and the upkeep was slightly sloppy on the booths (I had to clean a refried bean off of the bench), but overall, quite excellent. read more

This place is amazing, coming from San Diego my husband and I have been hard pressed to find good food out here and then here comes this place. This place is as close to home as we'll get and we are so happy. My husband got the carne asada suplex tacos (street tacos) which are incredible, I got the 619 burrito and its about as close to cali burrito then even some cali joints can get and we shared the carne asada fries. So if you were to ask me would I stop at the burrito place attached to the small country gas station normally I would say no, but this time I am glad I did. Don't let appearances fool you as the saying goes its what on the inside that counts and inside here is some seriously good food. The staff was really friendly and helpful when I told them I had never been there before explaining and pointing out some of the top sellers and favorites. I settled on the 619 burrito, because honestly how often do you get a burrito with french fries in it? It was fantastic and I had it all down in probably 5 minutes because I couldn't put it down. I snapped a photo mid way. If you are passing through or live in the area this needs to be added to your food rotation. I docked a star because it could use a little updating, I think it was a hardees or something before hand. But foodwise its a 5 star spot. read more
