This is a hole in the wall place very cheap and good authentic food. There's a few places nearby that are a little bit more preppy an upscale but if you're just looking for some really good Middle Eastern south Asian food this is definitely the place to get food from!! I would definitely recommend takeout because indoor seating is a little bit tight and I would say it's not aesthetically pleasing but it's like any other mom and pop place. Like I said it's great for good food good prices, those are my favorite kinds of places. They also offer a buffet during the day that looks really really small from the looks of it, not sure that I would try that because I would think that there's not that many options from the size of the place and how theyy displayed it. This family owned restaurant doesn't look like much from outside. In fact you can easily miss it because it's attached to a grocery store of the sams name. Hot delicious authentic Paki food! I get the biryani, tikka masala, fresh breads - naan & paratha, chicken samosas & chana all of which I recommend. If you regularly eat South Asian food, you're used to being unabashedly stared out if you walk into a Desi restaurant and you're not Desi. At this restaurant, that's not the case. This is a major plus to me. There are often customers in there from other than South Asian ethnicities as well which makes it more comfortable if you're dining in. The downside is that they're slow especially if it's there are more than two customers there. They often will not address a customer who walks in but it's not out of rudeness. They may be in the back or you just need to ring a bell on the counter to get their attention. Also cleanliness isn't their top priority. Tables are certainly wiped down regularly but the utensils often have visible dust on them or just haven't been cleaned well. Bottom line : I recommend this spot for authentic halal Pakistani food especially for take out. read more

The place itself is very tiny and doesn't exactly look the cleanest or most well kept so I wouldn't recommend eating there. Also the floors were extremely slippery with oil or something? We took ours to go. We didn't realize that everything is sold individually so the price was rather high. We're a little spoiled and use to our normal Indian spot which gives you the entree, rice and two naan at a cheap price. So we had to buy 1 chicken tika masala, 1 order of naan, and 1 thing of rice. You get literally one naan when you order which didn't have a taste (literally it tasted like burnt bread), and the chicken tika masala wasn't that great. While four lanes of Highway 1 blaze straight southwest towards Trenton in an endless sea of strip malls and gas stations, smaller and parallel Route 27 meanders a less direct path through slightly kinder lands of strip malls and gas stations. The more important thing to note in this area though is the abundance of restaurants that grace the side of Route 27, especially those of a South Asian bent. In a very ugly building veneered with beige-painted bricks lives Supreme, which advertises Indian and Pakastani on a neon sign and Bangladeshi as well on the menu. Regardless, it's all halal, and quite good. My largest point of contention was the lack of patience they seem to have, regardless of the fact that it was not busy after 2pm on a weekday. The main attraction for non-south Asians seems to be the buffet, and as our group looked through the menu we had to repeatedly decline the proprietor's offer. He seemed unaccustomed to selling anything but this to customers like us, and came off as pushy, hawking goods that were past their prime in mid-afternoon. Thankfully we all picked made to order items from the tandoor, like the hariyali kabab ($8) and beef bihari kabab ($5) Like all items, they were complemented well with a fresh piece of naan ($1.25). We found all the meats a bit on the dry side, especially the bihari, but the hariyari which is laced with coriander and hara dhania spices was quite delicious enough to overcome this. The grand daddy of the kabab section of the menu is obviously the supreme kabab platter ($9.99), which is a combination of three chicken varieties, and far too much meat for one person alone to eat. With the thriving region of tech and pharmaceutical companies in this area of New Jersey, a sophisticated and dedicated south Asian cuisine seems to have arisen. We ate here 3/4 times probably - It started with a huge euphoria and ended in a massive let down, and it all happened a couple of years ago. This restaurant is owned by a family who I believe is from Bangladesh. We are from Kolkata, India and our food from the eastern part of India is the same as the food that is consumed in Bangladesh. Although they did not sell Bangladeshi food at that time, everything I tasted on the first day tasted so much like home! I was euphoric - we have finally found a place close by where we get a taste of home. In the second visit, I think I ordered a Kabab platter - but was a bit surprised that was was in the platter varied slightly from what was listed on the menu - the things can happen, and I was not very worried. In fact we liked this place so much in our first couple of visits- We places a catering order for my son's birthday from here. And then it happened: We placed an order and there were a couple of chicken dishes- and the chicken was rotten- it smelled so bad that we had to throw stuff away. Immediately I asked my wife to call and cancel the catering order. In hindsight- they did us a favor. What if they served rotten food, in my son's birthday party? If it looks low ask if they plan to replenish it. Then ponder whether or not you trust this mildly suspicious looking man behind the counter... I ordered come butter chicken, Afghani naan, mutton biryani, chicken biryani, and Lahori lassi from here for take out through Uber eats. Butter chicken- pros: great portion size, spice level as asked for, it was flavorful, and hot when delivered. Cons: none. Afghani naan: it was really soft and is bigger than the normal naan. Has butter on it and sesame seeds. Mutton biryani: pros-great portion size, good spice level (slightly on the spicier side compared to other places), and flavorful. Cons: the goat pieces were mostly tiny and full of bones, could have used better cuts of the meat, rice wasn't long grain basmati (but flavorful). Chicken biryani: same as above regarding the pros, cons: none. Lahori lassi: it was slightly on the smaller size, and definitely used pre made pouches rather than fresh fruits. Overall, this is a great spot if you're eating on a budget as their portion size is amazing, and has great flavor. They just have to work on their order taking over the phone because the guy was confused when I called him regarding my order that was placed through Uber eats. But otherwise, I would recommend it if you're looking for good flavorful food and on a budget. read more

This place has unfortunately recently changed hands and not for the better. It almost feels like a religious place more than a restaurant when one walks in. That environment was not exactly welcoming and totally threw me off. Some of the prices have increased unbelievably and it is not worth it any more in terms of value. Food had decent taste and nice texture for the price you pay. I chose to dine in and the experience would've been better if my kebab platter and naan came out hot. Instead, the temperature was a little above lukewarm. No reason to raise a stink though, as the employees were very busy. There were a lot of locals who placed take out orders beforehand, so a lot of food had to be prepared before mine. This brings me to suggest avoiding weekend dinners here, as I waited a good thirty minutes for my meal. I was expecting fresh mango lassi, but the very orange color and syrupy thin liquid consistency made me conclude that the mango came from a puree carton. It still hit the spot though. This humble restaurant serves the most authentic and delicious Pakistani food in the area. The food doesn't taste like it came from a restaurant, it tastes like your Pakistani grandmother made it with love, and that's a compliment. The people at the food counter are sensitive to food allergies and will happily advise you what you should avoid and likewise, can eat without worry if you let them know what you are allergic to. Their chicken biryani is amazing, as are their chicken shaami kabobs (which I order by the dozen and freeze for sandwiches, weekend brunch, and emergency tea times). Beef nihari, naan, butter chicken, and seekh kabobs are our favorites , honestly everything they make tastes great and is made fresh. You must try their pakoras with the green mint chutney. I went to buy take out and had bad experience, first Rahman started bargaining with me about a fixed price item, after I refused, he agreed to the fixed price. I paid with credit card but didn't check the amount, he charged me $10 extra, I found out when I got home, I usually don't check when I sign credit slips, stores that I go to never charged incorrectly. But, this place has excellent food, love their kebabs (specifically shammi kebabs)! Their food is always fresh and their staff is always polite and helpful. I've always had shami kabab's from here which everyone I've served to loved. For some odd reason, never really ordered anything more from there before now. Decided to get the mutton biryani, karahi chicken, naan and chapli kabab. One word - AMAZING! Reminded me of true dhaba food back home. The spice levels were just right, something I haven't seen in similar restaurants in the area. And it is one of the cheapest in the area for sure.... I think I wasn't motivated because of the unassuming decor of the place, but here is a prime example of "do not judge a book by its cover". Only reason for no 5 stars is that the food is a bit oily (required for flavor though) and the place could do with a little bit of a makeover / cleanup to help make it look more appetizing. read more

We heard of this place from a friend and what a find! Our otherwise indifferent-to-food toddler eats up like she hasn't eaten for days. The food is flavorful and surprisingly light - not the norm for this kind of fare. Usually Indian/Pakistani buffets leave us feeling uncomfortable and bloated and its not just from the buffet overindulgence as is expected. This restaurant provides a delicious meal and is easy on the wallet too. Let me start by saying I've been going to Supreme for many years. It used to be one of the better ones in the area and a great value to boot. Unfortunately, things have gone downhill so much that I've finally had the "inspiration" to review them. First of all, when they bring you naan there's an even chance it's not fresh. I have had 2 instances within the past year where they bring me a basket of mismatched, cold pieces that were obviously left over on other tables and collected to put out again. I did not appreciate that, and don't ask for naan anymore. Since then, even their buffet offerings have suffered: The gravies tend to be watery and the goat, in particular, has no flavor. It's as if it had been boiled separately and then just added to a thin curry soup and place on the buffet. Unappetizing! Their vegetable offerings, as few as they are, usually have one that is appetizing (vegetable jalfreezi) but this last time even that one was barely edible. It was basically large chunks of potatoes mixed with a tiny amount of assorted vegetables, safely ensconced in a bed of grease. The food at Supreme has always been on the greasy side (their aloo saag, when available, is deliciously thick but is covered by a half-inch layer of ghee), but this time it was such a challenge scooping out actual vegetables and leaving the butter behind that it was hardly worth the effort. Finally, their selection is basically boring. There are very few dishes that they rotate in and out, most notably the saag (which regrettably was not available on my last visit). Their chicken biryani is usually reliable and tasty but this time the chicken was so dry it chewed like jerky. Their "dessert" offering has never been all that great and when I've asked why it doesn't taste fresh the "manager" shrugged and said that they buy it from a store. It's a shame that a restaurant has to admit that they can't make their own desserts! Sorry for my rambling review, I do not recommend this place to anyone unless there's a disaster and all the roads are closed except the one leading right up to the front door of this establishment. read more

I have been ordering food from here for years now, and the quality has been very hit or miss. I recently made a large order (nearly $100). When I got home I found that most of the food was absolutely ROTTEN. I mean it was giving off an offensive odor. This is unacceptable. There is no way they couldn't have realized this when they sold it to me. Clearly the food was old. I contemplated calling them to complain but then I figured it wasn't worth my time, especially if they are willing to sell food that is obviously spoiled.
