    Avocado bagel
    Fatima P.

Made a last minute stop in San Clemente before heading down to San Diego to get some coffee and a quick bite and am so glad we stopped here! The strawberry matcha was phenomenal and the avocado sandwich was better than I anticipated! The flavors were perfect together I can't even describe it. I'm more disappointed that I ate as fast as I did because it was delicious. They are also pretty busy in the morning but there's plenty of space. I will find a reason to come back more frequent just for the avocado bagel, I'm not from the area so I'm sad. Nevertheless this is a great choice for a quick breakfast and coffee. There's also ample parking available.

Stopped into Sur Coffee while having a day in San Clemente and needed a caffeine pick-me-up. Sur Coffee is on the main road and close to a lot of other restaurants and the beach -- it was about a 10 minute walk. This unassuming coffee spot has a lot of great seating options, the service was super quick and the staff were friendly. I got an iced vanilla latte with oat milk which was smooth and creamy, the espresso wasn't bitter and the vanilla wasn't overpowering, exactly what you expect for a latte. It was a bit expensive, about $9 for an iced latte -- but the syrup and alternative milks were $1 each. Just something to consider. Overall it was great though and I'll be back when I'm in the area!

Coffee is a 10 out of 10! I got a plain latte and it did not disappoint. They also do house made syrup which made my wife's vanilla latte that much better! Service was amazing too, everyone was so sweet and happy. Will be back :)

First and foremost I have to say I am not usually a burrito girl, THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST BURRITOS I'VE HAD IN SO SO LONG! The sauce on the side was phenomenal! The place is so cute and there's so much searing for hanging out or doing some work! The girl at the register was super sweet and so very helpful! I gotta visit every time I'm in San Juan!

Just absolutely the best coffee in San Clemente. I tried them all. Oh? The people: amazing. Workers are awesome. Amazing sense of community in here. Anyone can make good coffee, but Sur makes all who enter feel welcome, valued, and at ease. Sparking up conversations, showing love to people. It was great. Plus, mad zen. Tons of folks working, studying, or just enjoying some community time. Once more, the coffee is superb! The best I had in SC. This is a spot I will be missing big time back home in STL.

The best coffee in SC hands down! I've tried them all and this one is worth the bad parking to get to it. The coffee is so much better than anywhere else in SC, there is always a line but it moves like lightening. I love a flat white or Cappuccino, but don't sleep on the cold-brew. And the girls that work here are friendly, pretty and they don't have the lefty barista, I hate men and America vibe you sometimes get. Sur coffee the GOAT of SC coffee houses! PS they started right when COVID hit and served the community and survived! This place is God ordained, go here.

Awesome little coffee shop located right in the middle of SC. This place has a nice roast, good pastries and friendly service. Nice little indoor and patio seating areas. Good stop if in south OC.

Sur is a busy little coffee shop in the downtown area of San Clemente. The coffee menu is simple, the syrups are house made and the baked goods are baked in house. The story of the shop is inspiring, as they partner with growers all over the world and donate back. Good space to hang out, do a little work. Indoor and outdoor seating. Pet friendly. Street parking. Good service. Casual vibes. Please come and create your own adventure.

Very cute spot. Good amount of seating and a few outlets so you can post up and work. I couldnt decide between the olive oil cake and the cinnamon roll, so I got both. They were both delicious! The raspberry basil was a special flavor offered for the day. The customer service service was great. They were very friendly! New favorite coffee shop whenever I am in town or passing through :)

Wow the coffee here is delicious!! I had one of their seasonal specials and it was a peach cobbler latte and it was sooo good!! The people that work there are so kind. Such a nice place to go to in the morning. Yummy chocolate chip cookie as well.

We were driving through downtown San Clemente and came across this coffee shop. We were there mid-morning on a Friday and I was surprised at how busy it was! The shop is actually quite large despite being narrow, it extends much further back than you'd expect. The girl who took my order was not friendly at all, she approached me without a greeting and just asked what I wanted. I'm used to baristas being more conversational, so this was odd to me. I ordered an iced matcha latte and she told me it comes unsweetened, which I told her was fine. The drink came out quickly and as soon as I tried it, I regretted my decision to not add some sweetener as it was quite bland. I started adding some raw sugar packets and then a different barista saw me and said raw sugar won't blend very well, so she asked if I'd like some simple syrup added to sweeten it instead. I was grateful that this barista was actually friendly and wished she was the one who I got to interact with from the get go! She saved this review from being 3 stars. Once the simple syrup was added, the drink was great. This is a cute coffee shop, love the surf decor and overall vibe of the place. They have several drink options so there's something for everyone, including some alcoholic options. I'd just recommend having a more personable barista being the one taking the orders as that is the way to make the best first impression :)

Such an amazing place to enjoy a weekend coffee. The energy was high, everyone was mingling and enjoying live music. While the line was a bit long, the service was still excellent and quick.

One of the worst coffee shop experiences I've had :( My boyfriend and I were in the area to do some shopping on a Saturday morning and the employees raved about this place! When we got there we found parking out in the back. There was no wait to order when we got there but a lot of people seated. The employees weren't unfriendly, but they weren't very welcoming. We ordered an iced vanilla latte and iced matcha. They called my name for the matcha first and as I tried to grab it the employee said it actually wasn't for Alyssa so I went back to sit down. They called my name for the latte and I went to get it and they said the same thing, not for me. I said are you sure? And then a second employee came up and said these are definitely for you, and the two employees started arguing about the system (they were looking at an order screen). I took the order and left. We tried our drinks in the car and they were not good at all. The matcha tasted like it had rotten coconut milk in it (which is weird because we didn't order coconut milk) and the latte was too sour for my liking. I would not recommend this place!

    They do.

Is there somewhere to seat? Or is it more like a grab and go?

It's kinda loud overall so you'll have to pay attention and listen We got a traditional vanilla iced latte as well as the coconut cream cold brew. Both were delicious. They use pebble ice. I'm generally not a huge fan just because it waters the drinks down a lot quicker. But it was delicious nonetheless very thick coconut cream on top. I only wish that the iced drinks were a lot bigger. But that would probably throw off the milk to espresso ratio. Outside, there's plenty of seating both couches and patio chairs. Inside cool vibes. I ordered a muffin and the hua kai which is their cold brew with house coconut foam. The muffin was good. Perfect for pairing with a cup of coffee, but unfortunately I really didn't like the hua kai. The cold brew tasted almost sour and attempting to mix in some of the coconut foam did not help me offset the taste. I hate to throw away anything edible (and expensive) but I really didn't like their cold brew and could not get myself to finish it.

I read that this is owned by a Japanese couple who has extensive knowledge and love for coffee. Tucked in a corner within a small shopping plaza by a Japanese bakery, Mameya is a micro roaster that offering coffee enthusiasts and connoisseurs an opportunity to select over a dozen raw single origin and blend beans. Excellence in every Roast. at Mameya, there is precisely. And passion to every bean. Service is great. The employees are very knowledgeable and friendly if you have any questions or inexperienced. The ambiance is intimate and rather small. There isn't a lot of space where you can sit or stand. Pros: I ordered their pour over common blend and it was solid. I also grabbed a 12oz bag of their Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Natural. It took about 20 minutes for them to complete the roasting process. After 4 days, I grinned the beans for a pour over and could tell this was already going to be a decent cup of joe. I did not see any significant bloom but the draw time was great based on my grind size. Cons: This shop is too far and too small so if there is a line and you don't have time, you might have to skip the experience. While I don't anticipate Mameya expanding, I would come back in a while.

They do play music so noise level is average with the typical coffee shop. Sounds as well. What I really loved was the multitude of sitting areas around the whole coffee shop and also a little play area for toddlers. (Kitchen play) next to the door -- so adorable! Drink 5/5 I got a small lavender latte, it tastes super flavorful, strong lavender flavor, and I asked for a little bit light sweetness (less honey). Sometimes when I get lavender lattes, they have a little bit of bitter aftertaste, but this wasn't the case at all. They also have awesome looking seasonal flavors that I'll have to come back to try sometime. Service 5/5 I know others have had something to say, but everyone was super friendly and you could tell that coworkers got along -- seems like a really good work culture where people become friends :) Overall, I love to this coffee shop.
