    Waiting for my matcha!

Love the Hidden House in SJC but so happy there's one near home here in SC. This location still serves up amazing coffee and teas and has ample seating inside for a remote work day or outdoor tables to enjoy the weather outside. Parking lot is huge so there is never an issue to find a spot. Service is always friendly and accomodating with dietary needs. I love getting an oat milk matcha latte with cold foam but their classic vanilla latte is delicious too.

Absolutely love this coffee shop. Hidden house opened its third location and couldn't be happier with it being in my hometown. This place is always welcoming and making delicious coffee. They have a lovely rewards program and make the best pastries. Cozy environment and amazing coffee

We have been a fan of Hidden House Coffee in San Juan Capistrano since they opened. We moved to Phoenix a year ago, but come to the San Juan Hidden house whenever we're visiting Orange County. When we came down the other day, we learned there was a recent opening in San Clemente. So, after we finish our wonderful coffee and almond croissant, we headed down to the new Hidden House to check it out. We were here on Saturday morning around 8:45 AM. We found it was pretty easy and with plenty of parking in this small retail center. Everyone was very friendly and we experienced great customer service. The coffee was just as delicious as it is at the original spot. They have an in-house Baker here as well and all of the pastries look wonderful! Great spot for the residents of San Clemente!

DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! Drove 30 minutes out of my way to come here because Google and Yelp both say Hidden House Coffee closes at 5 PM. I show up well before that, and there's a sign on the door saying they actually close at 3 PM. Seriously? If you're going to change your hours, the absolute bare minimum is updating them online. It's incredibly frustrating to waste time and gas driving all the way somewhere just to find out the information listed everywhere is completely wrong. I wasn't the only one either. other people were walking up confused as well. This could easily be avoided if the business kept their hours accurate. Really disappointing first impression. Do better and update your hours so people don't waste their time coming here for nothing.

I came here during the San Clemente coffee crawl. I ordered the almond croissant, cinnamon roll, bagel bomb, and an iced latte. Everything was excellent. The pastries were delicious. The latte was perfect, not bitter, and the beans roasted to perfection. It was quiet inside and plenty of seating. The service was quick and friendly.

Hidden house is a new little gem here in SC, their coffee is fantastic and they have plenty of pastries and seating options to add to your experience. I got a cold brew with maple brown sugar syrup and vanilla cold foam. It was sooo delicious! They also have cold brew happy hour which gets you $2 off! I think she said between 2-5pm. I'll definitely be back!

Came in with high hopes , found this place on tik tok and decided to come in. My parents a cortado which they both enjoyed but mentioned it was strong. I got a matcha , i wasn't a big fan off. It was very milky and didn't taste like matcha. Although we did get two bagel bombs which were amazing we enjoyed those. Oversell a okay experience, staff was okay, the place is very cozy i will say. We did spend 30$ for all these items, I wouldn't pay that much again for this place.

Talega, San Clemente has a new local coffee establishment. A tasty flat white was accompany by a good almond croissant pastry. Interior is minimalistic with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Staff is friendly and the barista pulled proper shots and poured presentable latte art. Recommended

Don't seem to know what they are doing making drinks. Barista seemed stressed but you don't need to be rude to your customers.

The night before my dissertation defense, I ordered a 96 oz coffee (joe-to-go) to go with a note saying I was defending my PhD (preemptively apologizing if I looked like a frazzled raccoon and worried anyone on accident while picking up). When I walked in at 7:45 AM (15 min earlier than my pick up time, bc anxiety), the staff immediately complimented my defense outfit -- instant confidence boost -- and when I said I was the person picking up "lots of coffee," they led me to the coffee, already packed and ready :') They all wished me good luck with the warmest, most dazzling smiles. They even included a note that said, "You got this~!" which I kept in front of me during my defense. (see photo) And I passed!!! Also, they gave me half-and-half and oat milk?? In this economy?? Oat milk is basically liquid gold. I felt so loved. So caffeinated. So non-dairy option supported. Usually after defenses, there is leftover coffee that people are trying to give away. But me and High Tide Coffee? No sir. No leftovers. One of my committee members had about 4-5 cups, and I am not exaggerating., (Even in a field that basically runs on coffee, academics are running on caffeine.... and wine, so a room of 12 people, not all drinking coffee, and still finishing 96 oz of coffee is a record.) Thank you, High Tide, for the excellent coffee, the kindness, the emotional support, and the very necessary academic bean juice. I am officially glad I chose you to help caffeinate the most important morning of my PhD. and thank you again for supporting me emotionally and caffeine-induced confidence :)

The vibes were nice, very coastal aesthetic with a decent amount of seating. Pretty diverse menu, prices were that of an indie coffee shop. Cashier was so kind and patient even though I was so indecisive, so I definitely appreciate that! What I ordered: -Lavender Honey Matcha: I got this with oat milk and it tasted like water with sweet lavender flavoring, couldn't really taste the matcha. 2/5 My cousins and I weren't very impressed by the drinks here. We all got matcha so I'm thinking maybe their coffee is better because the place was busy. I probs wouldn't come back, and if I did I'd give the coffee a chance.

I got their seasonal specialty latte which had cookie butter and cold foam and added oat milk (+$1) and the drink came out to be over $10 so pretty pricey for just an okay drink. The interior is small but architecturally cool, with a tennis theme. There is a tiny patio in the back with a couple of tables and a lattice that provides some shade. I ordered a hot vanilla latte and a Nutella croissant from their pastry case. As is often the case at small coffee shops, there were no available seats at tables as all were taken by remote workers/students with their laptops. They have a narrow counter that was empty, so I ordered "for here" as I really wanted to relax and enjoy the coffee. I sat at the tiled counter and appreciated that my pastry was served on a ceramic plate and latte in a mug. The pastry was fresh with a flaky-crisp exterior and a bountiful amount of Nutella stuffed inside. The vanilla latte was served at immediate drinking temperature and the quality of espresso was excellent with a delectable vanilla under-flavor. Although this is "Happy" Coffee Club, the employees seemed emotionless and filled with ennui. Not welcoming or friendly at all. Once finished, I didn't see a place to return my plate & mug so decided to be nice and bring them to the counter. I was chastised and told that there is a tub on a shelf above the water station for dirty dishware. They also serve beer and wine here, which is probably what one needs to truly be in the Happy Club.

Instead, I was out here questioning climate patterns with my dog on the patio. First things first: no iced coffee. None. But. The cold brew? Mild. Non-offensive. Surprisingly nutty (in a good way, *wink wink*). It didn't punch me in the throat with acidity, which I appreciate as someone who wants caffeine, not hostile combat. It's the kind of cold brew that says, "I'm stable. I've been to therapy. I am no longer bitter." Service was friendly and easygoing. No weird vibes. No barista existential dread projected onto me. Just solid, pleasant human interaction. 10/10 for that. Now. The patio. Love that it's dog-friendly. My pup was living her best life, greeting kind patrons. I, however, was trying to pretend I was a productive academic gremlin (with *aesthics*), and the WiFi was... aspirational. Let's just say it builds character. Great for touching grass. Not great for uploading Zoom sessions. (this was on the patio tho, indoors, it might slap harder than.. a correctly timed bass drop) Overall: great little spot. A few things to improve (please give me iced coffee and slightly stronger patio WiFi), but it doesn't detract from the experience or the coffee itself. I'd go back -- especially with my pup -- just maybe not expecting to run a Zoom seminar from the patio. 4 out of 5 caffeinated imposter adults.
