Love this place! Can get a bit crowded sometimes but worth the wait for the lavender latte

This is based off of one visit, got a small lavender latte (hot), and as an avid coffee shop hopper where I prioritize quality and work capability.... I loved it! Ambience 5/5 Located in the same plaza as sprouts, there is plenty of parking in the parking lot, when you walk in there are a mixture of tables and bar seating/booths along the wall. Grateful for groups of 4 to 5, we're coming here solo or for a coffee date. There are outlets along the front wall, our seating, and the booths on the side to get work done (great plus!). They do play music so noise level is average with the typical coffee shop. Sounds as well. What I really loved was the multitude of sitting areas around the whole coffee shop and also a little play area for toddlers. (Kitchen play) next to the door -- so adorable! Drink 5/5 I got a small lavender latte, it tastes super flavorful, strong lavender flavor, and I asked for a little bit light sweetness (less honey). Sometimes when I get lavender lattes, they have a little bit of bitter aftertaste, but this wasn't the case at all. They also have awesome looking seasonal flavors that I'll have to come back to try sometime. Service 5/5 I know others have had something to say, but everyone was super friendly and you could tell that coworkers got along -- seems like a really good work culture where people become friends :) Overall, I love to this coffee shop. If I lived near the area, I would definitely be a regular, but will certainly keep this as a place to stop by when I'm passing through the area! read more

I had a mixed experience during my visit for breakfast. On the positive side, the space is fantastic, large with plenty of tables and bar seating. The chai tea and beet avo toast were both delicious and good quality, but the service lacked polish. The server who took my order was friendly and helpful. Even though i was dining in, my tea came in a paper cup, and my toast sat in a box on the counter for 10 minutes until i finally asked for it. At nearly $19 for the order, the $12 toast felt a bit overpriced for the portion size, despite the great taste. Great flavors and a nice space, but for the price, id hope for better service and less to go packaging for dinenin guests. read more

High Tide Coffee in Aliso Viejo has such a cool, eclectic vibe. The last time I remember being in this space, it felt very different (possibly even a different coffee chain) but now it feels lively, packed, and thoughtfully laid out. The atmosphere alone makes it a great spot to meet a friend for coffee, which I'd definitely do again in the future. I tried their snickerdoodle coffee and really enjoyed it. It was unique and flavorful, though a bit on the rich side for my taste--but still very good. Prices are definitely on the higher end, but honestly, that seems to be the norm these days, even at Starbucks. Overall, it's a fun, inviting coffee shop with a great ambiance, and I'd recommend stopping by if you're in the area. read more

This location is larger and has more parking than the San Clemente location so that is already a plus. Drinks came out super quick I got the ube cream top matcha. It was a present decent matcha and the ube was potent. Warning, do not get this if you're having to go back to work in the office as it dyes your tongue purple lol. I absolutely loved it here! The drinks are so good! I got the mazapan topping and it was absolutely delicious. I also have gotten their food and it's to die for. They are always so sweet, just seem so happy to be there and that makes my heart so happy. The vibe is so cute, small; but still cute. This place is such a vibe. And the people who really need to check this place out are parents! There's a little section by the front with toys and a little pretend kitchen, so you can relax and enjoy your coffee while the kids entertain themselves. I just love the thoughtfulness behind this. As far as food and drink, what I got was really good! I ordered a matcha latte, bagel and lox, and a PB&J for my daughter. Matcha was great but came with no sweetener so you have to add your own. The rest of the food was yummy. Customer service was super friendly. First time coming here and the cashier/barista was talking to me like I'd been going there forever! You can tell everyone who comes here is a local: there's a familiarity with everyone and a sense of community. Not to mention there's tons of merch from the coffee shop and other local artists available to purchase. This is really what every coffee shop should aspire to be. The staff was either chatting with each other or fighting with each other. Highly mismanaged and overstimulating environment for mediocre coffee. They don't require gloves or hair nets for any of the folks managing food. Absolute disaster and waste of time. read more

As a mom, I really appreciate this cafe having a play kitchen and pinball machines to entertain my kids. I loved that the place was bustling with women who felt that this is a safe space for them to come and unwind with their children and other adults. The lavender honey latte was very delicious, they mix their own lavender honey so the taste was fragrant without being overly sweet. This place is very happening with lots of conversations. It is not the place to be at if you want to get work done but it's definitely a fun place to socialize. The staff was very friendly and helpful. read more

First walking in the inside is a nice open concept with coffee bar in middle. Good vibe. The workers there were not very welcoming when we walked in. So that's a little bummer but not end of world. We were standing looking at the menu at the register with one of the workers standing right there and still said nothing to us. Overall experience is MADE with interaction so not much to be said there. Got the snickerdoodle and lavender latte as well as lemon poppy muffin Snickerdoodle latte- not very sweet ( I like it like that) I'd give it a mid level score for overall flavor. Lavender was not so good. Tasted very burnt, must have been the house made syrup they use. So maybe they could do a little better next time. Went in to try something else and they made a vanilla latte- that was good. Again not overly sweet which is good. And the espresso flavor was good overall. Lemon poppy muffin had really good flavor, icing was good. Size was good. But it was quite dry...not terrible but still dry. The interior was decorated nicely so it was a bummer that we couldn't find a spot to eat inside. It seemed like a great spot to get work done while enjoying a drink or food with friends. She introduced me to the Moon Drink & the Mother Earth Matcha exactly what I didn't know I needed. The whole crew radiates good vibes and the café is next to adorable local shops. Matcha is my newest obsession lately and I'm so glad I chose the Matcha chaga. It has cacao, cinnamon and monk fruit and it was the perfect blend that was nutty and not so sweet. You walk inside this beautiful industrial style coffee shop that is full of light and color. It has so many adorable curated goods. I left with a vanilla car freshener You definitely can tell it's women owned because they have little Knick knacks that the little ones could play with, so very family friendly. The gals who served me were kind and inviting and it's just the perfect place to grab and go or sit down and eat a warm breakfast. My friend and I were planning on catching up after not seeing each other for a while. She came across High Tide, so we decided to give it a try this morning. Upon arriving around 9am, there was a farmers market today, so parking was a bit difficult to find, despite the large lot. Here is what I ordered: The Grinch Latte: a seasonal drink that included vanilla syrup, matcha, and raspberry foam. I knew walking in I was most likely going to get a matcha, but this one definitely caught my eye. It came out and it was so cute, I didn't even want to drink it. Although I am not a raspberry person, the raspberry was not overwhelming and gave it the perfect amount of sweetness. Pear Pomegranate Toast: This was good! I liked the option for a sweet toast.It came with pear slices, pomegranate seeds, cinnamon, and some maple spread. I liked how the flavors came together and the crisp from the toast but the crunch from the seeds. Not sure if I would get this again, as it seems quite simple to make at home. It was definitely pricey for the portion. Overall, I am all for supporting small businesses and love that they are women owned. Everyone there was extremely nice and the seating was comfortable. We really wanted to love this place, but they definitely have a problem with people treating it like their office. There are exactly 3 tables inside that would fit more than 2 people, and all 3 were taken up by single patrons on their laptops. There are several "bar" style seats too, which were also taken up by laptop users, and several small tables that would fit a max of 2 people that were ALSO taken up by laptop users. We saw only 2 patrons inside that were actually using the tables to enjoy food or drink. Even the little bit of outside seating was taken up by laptop users. We came as a party of 4 and had to squeeze into a very awkward spot on the short side of the bar. When we ordered our food and drinks we asked about the laptop users and the worker just kind of brushed it off. Honestly the food was decent and the drinks too. The line was also decently long so clearly people want to come here, but I definitely imagine they are losing customers due to the seating issue! We definitely won't be back just for that reason. I know many coffee spots have these office type set up's, but I definitely think the only 3 tables should be reserved for people that actually want food read more

From their classic - iced vanilla latte to their snickerdoodle latte to their Grinch latte, High Tide Coffee kills it on their coffee drinks! They roast their own beans and pour up some delicious caffeinated drinks. The atmosphere is a fun, retro vibe, but it gets busy! Tables are often filled with people enjoying their drinks and the bar top is often filled with people working or chatting over a cup of coffee. It's a little loud, but just like the staff, people love to hang at the shop. The food isn't great. I'd recommend eating before you come or grabbing a bite afterwards. Not so sure about this. The place is so cluttered with some random stuff where there's no space for people that lineup to order. The layout of the cafe is giving claustrophobic vibes. It's too small to have many things (ie. pinball machines, kiddie playground and stuff inside!) I don't know what it wants to be: a cafe or a family playground? I don't know. I was confused. The food is average just like those regular cafe shops with pastries and stuff. I do love the banana chocolate loaf! Pretty adorable size, and it's gluten free! The coffee is meh. You could literally get your nails done, get a sunless tan, wax your 'kini line, and get your matcha on. We walked into High Tide Coffee after seeing a line at the new boba shop around the corner a little after noon. I just needed a coffee after a busy morning. I opted for their small iced lavender honey latte. I figured that it's one of the ones they make regularly since it's on their menu at the top of the list. I just did not think it would take them so long to make it. There was maybe 2 people ahead of me before I got to the register. The cashier was friendly when she took my order. It was about 20 minutes or so before they called my name. While we were waiting, we noted the little play kitchen in the corner, the jars of honey for sale, along with other items. The furniture is a really interesting prefab construction. We saw the grinder in the back of the room. It seemed a bit cluttered in High Tide. Honestly, the wait was a little long for an iced latte. I am grateful that it was made to order but I had to wonder why they did not have a pitcher full of cooled espresso to make the process faster for them when iced drinks are ordered. I suppose if I had the time to be leisurely, I would not have cared about the wait but we were in a bit of a hurry and pressed for time. The lavender honey coffee was a bit sweet. This place is literally so close to us, but we don't go here enough... It is not pet friendly on the inside however, they do have two small tables on the outside and some random concrete seats to sit on , and no shade available. We went on a Saturday, which was dog crazy . Everyone had their dog including us, and it was very uncomfortable. The coffee is nice . We really wish it was dog friendly on the inside.
