I had a mixed experience during my visit for breakfast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On the positive side, the space is fantastic, large with plenty of tables and bar seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The chai tea and beet avo toast were both delicious and good quality, but the service lacked polish. The server who took my order was friendly and helpful. Even though i was dining in, my tea came in a paper cup, and my toast sat in a box on the counter for 10 minutes until i finally asked for it. At nearly $19 for the order, the $12 toast felt a bit overpriced for the portion size, despite the great taste. Great flavors and a nice space, but for the price, id hope for better service and less to go packaging for dinenin guests.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]High Tide Coffee in Aliso Viejo has such a cool, eclectic vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The last time I remember being in this space, it felt very different (possibly even a different coffee chain) but now it feels lively, packed, and thoughtfully laid out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere alone makes it a great spot to meet a friend for coffee, which I'd definitely do again in the future.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I tried their snickerdoodle coffee and really enjoyed it. It was unique and flavorful, though a bit on the rich side for my taste--but still very good. Prices are definitely on the higher end, but honestly, that seems to be the norm these days, even at Starbucks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, it's a fun, inviting coffee shop with a great ambiance, and I'd recommend stopping by if you're in the area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Magic Lemonade - too sweet!!

I'm loving High Tide's new cups (or new for me). I got a hot tea for the first time and was so pleased! I wished there was an option to add honey, but overall it was really good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the cool vibes and they are also currently doing a food drive to give back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I also love the pay it forward board! So much goodness!

Ube top matcha

This location is larger and has more parking than the San Clemente location so that is already a plus. Drinks came out super quick I got the ube cream top matcha. It was a present decent matcha and the ube was potent. Warning, do not get this if you're having to go back to work in the office as it dyes your tongue purple lol. It's already a solid coffee shop and love that there's always unique seasonal drinks!

The "Pay it Forward" bulletin board. Such a great idea!

This place is such a vibe. And the people who really need to check this place out are parents! There's a little section by the front with toys and a little pretend kitchen, so you can relax and enjoy your coffee while the kids entertain themselves. I just love the thoughtfulness behind this. As far as food and drink, what I got was really good! I ordered a matcha latte, bagel and lox, and a PB&J for my daughter. Matcha was great but came with no sweetener so you have to add your own. The rest of the food was yummy. Customer service was super friendly. First time coming here and the cashier/barista was talking to me like I'd been going there forever! You can tell everyone who comes here is a local: there's a familiarity with everyone and a sense of community. Not to mention there's tons of merch from the coffee shop and other local artists available to purchase. This is really what every coffee shop should aspire to be. Can't say enough good things about it!

As a mom, I really appreciate this cafe having a play kitchen and pinball machines to entertain my kids. I loved that the place was bustling with women who felt that this is a safe space for them to come and unwind with their children and other adults. The lavender honey latte was very delicious, they mix their own lavender honey so the taste was fragrant without being overly sweet. This place is very happening with lots of conversations. It is not the place to be at if you want to get work done but it's definitely a fun place to socialize. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This place gets crowded!! But for good reason, coffee is solid and the baristas are always so nice & welcoming. Their breakfast burrito is delicious and I've never had a bad drink here. Kid friendly and easy parking

Their gluten free chocolate banana cake is delicious with a cup of chai!! The perfect morning pick me up and the service is so friendly. Love spending an early morning before work here just reading or doing some reflection before the day starts. Many seats and bar style counters to enjoy your morning treats at. Will be coming back often! Parking is ample in this parking lot

First walking in the inside is a nice open concept with coffee bar in middle. Good vibe. The workers there were not very welcoming when we walked in. So that's a little bummer but not end of world. We were standing looking at the menu at the register with one of the workers standing right there and still said nothing to us. Overall experience is MADE with interaction so not much to be said there. Got the snickerdoodle and lavender latte as well as lemon poppy muffin Snickerdoodle latte- not very sweet ( I like it like that) I'd give it a mid level score for overall flavor. Lavender was not so good. Tasted very burnt, must have been the house made syrup they use. So maybe they could do a little better next time. Went in to try something else and they made a vanilla latte- that was good. Again not overly sweet which is good. And the espresso flavor was good overall. Lemon poppy muffin had really good flavor, icing was good. Size was good. But it was quite dry...not terrible but still dry. Overall good minus the lavender latte and the lack of welcoming from baristas. They were busy so give them a try! Maybe you'll have a different experience

I visited High Tide's Laguna Niguel location around noon on a Wednesday. It was pretty busy, but the wait for our orders wasn't too long at all. The interior was decorated nicely so it was a bummer that we couldn't find a spot to eat inside. It seemed like a great spot to get work done while enjoying a drink or food with friends. The employee who helped me with my order was so sweet. I tried their savory cottage cheese bowl & added lox to it, while friend got their florentine breakfast burrito--we both thought they were delicious! Would love to come back soon & try other dishes & drinks.

High Tide Coffee is a gem, and Elizabeth & Crew are a big reason why. She immediately understood my gluten-free needs and offered amazing suggestions with such engaging energy. The Kickin' Cottage Cheese Avocado Toast is the best I've ever had. Sweet and savory flavors that melt in your mouth. She introduced me to the Moon Drink & the Mother Earth Matcha exactly what I didn't know I needed. The whole crew radiates good vibes and the café is next to adorable local shops. I'm planning my return visit!

Kim I.

Matcha is my newest obsession lately and I'm so glad I chose the Matcha chaga. It has cacao, cinnamon and monk fruit and it was the perfect blend that was nutty and not so sweet. You walk inside this beautiful industrial style coffee shop that is full of light and color. It has so many adorable curated goods. I left with a vanilla car freshener You definitely can tell it's women owned because they have little Knick knacks that the little ones could play with, so very family friendly. The gals who served me were kind and inviting and it's just the perfect place to grab and go or sit down and eat a warm breakfast. Make sure you show these ladies some love, I know I will be more often :)

Pear Pomegranate Toast (Seasonal) and Breakfast Burrito
Michelle N.

My friend and I were planning on catching up after not seeing each other for a while. She came across High Tide, so we decided to give it a try this morning. Upon arriving around 9am, there was a farmers market today, so parking was a bit difficult to find, despite the large lot. Here is what I ordered: The Grinch Latte: a seasonal drink that included vanilla syrup, matcha, and raspberry foam. I knew walking in I was most likely going to get a matcha, but this one definitely caught my eye. It came out and it was so cute, I didn't even want to drink it. Although I am not a raspberry person, the raspberry was not overwhelming and gave it the perfect amount of sweetness. Pear Pomegranate Toast: This was good! I liked the option for a sweet toast. It came with pear slices, pomegranate seeds, cinnamon, and some maple spread. I liked how the flavors came together and the crisp from the toast but the crunch from the seeds. Not sure if I would get this again, as it seems quite simple to make at home. It was definitely pricey for the portion. Overall, I am all for supporting small businesses and love that they are women owned. Everyone there was extremely nice and the seating was comfortable. There were outlets if you needed to plug in for work, so I definitely think I can come here in the future to get some stuff done. There are also so many other drinks I need to try!

Easily 10 out of 5 stars…read more I've been coming here since they first opened about three years ago and can honestly say this is hands down the best coffee in SoCal. Genuinely surprised I haven't left a review sooner. It's a small, quaint shop with a clean and mellow interior, relaxing jazz playing in the background, and aroma of freshly brewed coffee that always transports me back to Japan. Daisuke and his team greet everyone with such genuine warmth that you immediately feel welcomed. Their hospitality is unmatched, but what keeps me coming back is the consistency. Every drink is made with care, and they're always happy to take the time to explain the differences between their beans, recommend something based on your preferences, and answer any questions without ever making you feel rushed. You can tell they truly care about both their craft and their customers. I usually order the café au lait, and it's the only coffee shop where I'm confident in asking them to make it however they like. Every now and then I'll also pick up a bag of their beans to brew at home, and I highly recommend doing the same. They carefully help you choose from their wide variety, then grind the beans for you or sell them whole if you have your own grinder. Grinding fresh beans takes about 15-20 minutes, so if you're driving from farther away, I'd recommend calling ahead or placing an order through their website for pickup. The quality of the coffee speaks for itself, but what really sets this place apart is the experience. It's rare to find a coffee shop where both the product and the people are this consistently exceptional. Where most coffee shops tend to rush you out I think the difference here is that you genuinely feel welcomed. Wishing Daisuke and the entire team nothing but continued success. They deserve every bit of it. If you're looking for incredible coffee, authentic Japanese hospitality, and a place that genuinely cares about what they serve, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't regret it.

I've been here a few times before and have always enjoyed both their coffee and matcha. This visit, I couldn't decide between the two, so I was excited to see the Matcha Americano on the menu. It's essentially an Americano topped with matcha instead of milk, making it a great option for someone like me who is lactose intolerant. The drink had a nice bold coffee and matcha flavor. I did ended up adding a little honey when I got home since I wanted a little bit of sweetness. I also have to give credit to the service. For a holiday weekend, I was surprised there was only one employee working, especially with a steady line of customers coming in. My drink took a little longer than usual, but considering the barista was taking orders, making drinks, and running the register all by herself, she was incredibly efficient and kept everything moving smoothly. Overall, another great visit, and I'll definitely be stopping by again the next time I'm in the area.
