I have always had a fear of dentist because of past experiences which were very painful. I researched top dentist in Maryland and I came across Dr. Kuzmak, Towson View Dental Care and decided to give them a call and make an appointment. I was very nervous about the visit because I had two broken teeth with only the roots left in my gums. Upon my arrival I was meant by a warm and welcoming staff. Dr. Kuzmack himself came out to the waiting area to greet me and to offer me a bottle of water. That definitely helped take the edge off. He explained everything to me before he began the procedure. I always brace myself for the initial needle stick and deep burning that follows from the Novocaine... However to my surprise Dr. Kuzmack pulls out a device that he uses in conjunction with the needles that massages your gums during injection which helped to alleviate any pain! I was totally taken back that I did not feel ANY pain the entire procedure. No pain from the needle or the root extraction. We had an hour-long discussion about guitars and his love for music. He does great work and is extremely knowledgeable. Dr. Castro is also great with minimizing pain and offers affordable services! Rosie is amazing at processing insurance claims. On a few occasions, I was reimbursed several hundred dollars from my insurance--thanks to her! Five stars isn't enough for Dr. Cho and his team. My husband found a local dentist and easily…read morescheduled appointments with a friendly staff. He was quickly informed over the phone that they take our insurance and the staff gave him quotes for initial X-rays, eval, and cleaning for my mom without dental insurance. The hygienist was thorough and my hubby kept commenting how his teeth felt squeaky clean and smooth for over a week! He took his old, cracked night guard for a replacement. Dr. Cho was very professional and informative in explaining the cause of the crack and recommended an affordable guard and the right thickness that'll protect his teeth. Dr. Cho also kindly taught my hubby how to safely brush his teeth to further prevent gum recession. After my husband's exemplary experience, my mom and I went in for our appt. We scheduled back to back to take turns watching my 15 month old toddler in the waiting area. We arrived early and Dr. Cho greeted us and saw my mom earlier than her appt time. My mom hasn't seen a dentist since my dad passed away 4 years ago, so she was scared. Dr. Cho's chair-side manners were superb which kept her very calm and even enthusiastic about further taking care of her teeth- she needs crowns. Dr. Cho conservatively recommended the work she needs done and before we left the office the front staff gave us quotes for her next visit. As a 7 month old pregnant mom with a toddler, I can say this office is very family friendly. Dr. Cho ordered minimal x-rays to address my worries of cavities and the staff took extra caution when taking the x-rays. The eval and cleaning was thorough and quick so laying on my back wasn't uncomfortable. There was a cute corner for my toddler to play and lots of space to walk around to enjoy her stay at the dental office while grandma's and Mom's teeth were being taken care of by Dr. Cho and his awesome staff. Now that she's familiar with the office and friendly staff, we decided to schedule our daughter's first dental appt, too. We already appreciate our new family dentist very much!

For minor appointments you can watch movies and even listen with headphones which makes it really feel like a more comfortable experience! However, my more intensive appointments, like getting a crown, were much less comfortable. The temporary crown felt like it was roughly handled and caused a lot of pain during the appointment. I already get nervous about going to the dentist, especially knowing I have several future visits coming up, but I still think this office is a good overall option especially for light work. I'm glad they accept my insurance, and while I expect regular checkups to be a positive experience, the more involved procedures will likely be stressful for me.
