The dude and I came to Surf City Squeeze on 01/31/21 as we were in the area and I haven't here in years! The dude never been here at all. I remember I got a Smoothie in Las Vegas Surf City Squeeze and it was green which had banana and kale. So I decided to get something like that again as seen in the picture I took. The dude ended up getting the Chocolate Peanut Butter. I usually get the chocolate banana shake which is pure delicious! But I wanted to try something different. The young lady who took our order was friendly and kind. All staff was wearing face masks. When I ordered my drink the Kale one there's an option for the low calorie smoothie mix which is ON THE MENU for some reason the worker didn't know what I was talking about at all. I had to point it out to her like several times and then it rung a bell that their low calorie smoothie option is just soy. So they made our drinks pretty quick and when it was finished I was looking for my drink as it was not green as pictured at all which was a yuk looking brown with slight pink which didn't look appetizing at all but the taste was bomb. The dude loved his smoothie of Chocolate peanut butter. His looked as pictured. We also added boba to our drinks. The boba was alright could have been tastier. Anywho, the smoothies were delicious but hopefully the workers get to know the menu more. As it was frustrating trying to explain to the worker their own menu. Overall, the dude and I would come back as their smoothies are pretty good. read more

Expensive and mediocre in taste pretty much sums this place up. I ordered a large Black Milk Tea with Boba which came out to $7.45. Their "large" was bigger than almost all of the completion's "large" but the taste just wasn't there. First of all, I couldn't taste anything that closely resembled black tea. It was sweet and creamy but that's about it. Additionally, the boba was completely flavorless. If you are familiar with boba, then you know good boba has a distinct taste that adds more than just texture to the drink. Service was OK, not super friendly but not bad, and fast.....fast because I was the only customer, which might have something to do with their product and Priceline. I'm not sure how this place stays in business. For those of you still willing to give this place a try, it is situated directly across from the Food Court on the left hand side of the hallway that leads to the restrooms. Good luck if you do. Maybe some of their other products are better. Needless to say, I won't be back. Stores that offer these types of drinks are popping up all over Fresno and almost all of them offer a better product at a better price. This place has the best smoothies in town, they don't overdo the flavors and sweetness of it.

I love the girls who work here! They are all so nice and energetic. Their green tea with boba was my addiction while working in the mall! Even to this day I can't find anyone who had green tea slush that tastes as good as Surf City's. I got so many friends hooked on it, too! They use a soy base for their drinks instead of milk or cream, which I've noticed some people don't like. I personally like this more than a dairy base. read more

Had stopped by today after doing some shopping. Felt like a smoothie and the shop was right there in the food court. I got to say, for a smoothie, you're going to pay an arm for it. My medium sized strawberry-banana smoothie which was like 16 oz I believe was a whopping $6.75! And they have a tip jar there if you want to tip. So I put in a dollar and basically I got suckered for a $7.75 smoothie. I think they added something for a charge because she asked if I like something and I thought she was just asking me lol. I figured it was going to be that good. I was wrong I see the girl making it, but man, the smoothie I got had that dietey taste. Kind of smacked my mouth trying to get get that aftertaste out. It was really bland. Honestly, it was more like a cardboard flavor smoothie with a hint of strawberry. I just took in a 1/4 of it and tossed it in the trash can. I want to give them another chance because I love boba tea and I saw that on the menu. I should have got that instead. I might have to edit this if my next visit is better. But for now, I don't recommend getting any smoothie there if the strawberry banana tasted like that and for that price. Plus I wonder how much a large would be? 10 bucks? lol read more

This isn't my favorite boba spot, but it's about two or three blocks from my house and sometimes I am willing to deal with Fashion Fair's parking lot so on those days I come here for a refreshing smoothie. I've tried their Taro, Pomegranate, Honeydew, and Strawberry-Banana smoothies, and they are all delicious although depending on who's working I feel like the drinks don't have enough mix in them (kinda watery, not flavored enough). Other times, it's perfect. The boba is hit and miss as well, sometimes its perfectly chewy and sweet, other times its a little on the bland/mushy side. I'll keep returning. read more

I've worked here for about 5 years and left this past October because I got a new job. I honestly love the drinks here. And it's definitely not because I worked here. I love the soymilk base that is used and I love the thickness that is achieved by the soymilk as the base. I love that there is no dairy in the drinks. My favorite used to be the green tea but It changed to the black milk tea. I loveeee boba! I used to never know the difference between freshly made boba and over night or day long boba, but now I do! I love when the boba hardens. FYI: if boba is left to sit in a smoothie for a specific amount of time, it will harden. So if you do not like your bobas to freeze up, stir frequently and drink up, lol. I would have given 5 stars, but the only reason why I didn't is because I do believe the prices are pretty high. But it Is understandable. As minimum wage increases, so do prices. Of you really want your drink, you will get it :). I love that we don't have taxes! If surf city ever closes down, i will be devastated. I have yet to find a place that will quench my thirst the way this place does. And I totally not trying to be biased. I have tried other boba places, but I really do favor the mixes and bases we use here. Try it out if you dont mind spending a bit of cash. If you are nice to the girls, we dont mind helping you out to the best of out abilities if the drinks aren't to your liking. But if you come off rude, I can't help you there, lol. the drinks are mediocre for being this pricy. the workers seem to have an attitude when you ask if the boba has been made. speaking of, i'm pretty sure it doesn't take one and a half hours to make some boba, every time we went back to ask, the worker would say 30 minutes. over and over again, 30 minutes, 30 minutes until we have up and left. read more

Not much flavor in the smoothies, ordered the Orange Orange and it tasted like vanilla milk, so asked for another flavor mango peach, she was really nice and made me another. It was better but still not very flaverful. read more

After attending a concert at the Save Mart center my family wanted pretzels and something to drink with me just have had Gastric bypass surgery I watch what I eat and drink. My Daughter wanted a smoothie so Surf City was right there and they had a good deal two 12oz smoothies from a certain menu for 5 bucks. I saw a no sugar, Lactose free, low carb White Mocha Smoothie I asked the girls many questions short of 20 before I placed my order. My daughter ordered her Peach Mango smoothie and off we were. After 2 small sips of my no sugar, low carbs, Lactose free smoothie I found myself in the restroom in pain if you've had Gastric Bypass Surgery and drink or eat something with tons of sugar you know what I went through. Needless to say we had to leave ASAP to get me home 3 days later I still wasn't able to eat. My husband called a girl who would not give her name and answers a business phone with "Hello" not "Thank you for Calling Surf City this is XXXX can I help you" no just "Hello" then my husband asks is this "Surf City in the Mall" he gets "YAH" then he asks "Can I please speak to a manager" she says "He's not in he will be here around 12:30pm" my husband states "It's 12:35pm" they girls says "OOPS then I guess he isn't here" then hangs up. My next step is calling Fashion Fair Mall and advising them of what type of establishment they have in there facility.
