Serious some incredible puff pastries here. We each ordered one to share and thought about going back for seconds. My friend had some beautiful coffee concoction (sorry I do not remember the name not being a coffee person). The staff was so patient as we took our time pointing things out in the pastry cases before deciding. I had a watermelon mimosa! We ate here for lunch because the reviews of this place were so good and I can see why now! I had the veggie burrito bowl, basically a veggie burrito without the tortilla. It came with a side of sour cream and salsa made in house. The food portion was generous in size and the food tasted very fresh and flavorful. I loved the house made salsa. The service was great! Most places in Shelter Cove are very self serve. By that I mean you order at the front and then clear your plates at the end. Our food came out shortly after we ordered it. It's a relaxed ambiance with both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating overlooks the ocean. This place has amazing views, food, and service! My family comes to this area for our annual camping trip. This morning was busy for them being Memorial Day weekend. The lady working, I'm assuming could be the owner (and if not - she should own this place) was absolutely crushing it back there. She handled a busy rush of people and trained her staff while being professional and hospitable to everyone inside. Above the fact that this location has an insane view of the ocean, the food here is beautiful to look at and is delicious. Fresh, warm and filling. Not that weak microwaved cardboard you get at other coffee shops. They work very hard here and I appreciate that. They deserve to be busy but selfishly, I hope no one else finds out about this place. Three of us went to Surfpoint for the first time yesterday.Though they did not have table service, the staff was very friendly and we received our drinks and then our food promptly. What can I say about the food.....WOW! I had the shrimp and grits which was fantastic. My husband was very pleased with his breakfast burrito and our friend loved her loaded bagel. What more does a small town need other than a brewery, a restaurant, and an amazing coffee shop? Surf Point Coffee served the most amazing breakfast we could ask for. The views were amazing, and the eggs benedict were top notch! We're kind of snobs when it comes to eggs benny and we agreed, this one was towards the top of our list! The coffee is freshly brewed and you know we also had to try a mocha. We stopped in again our second day for more coffee and this time a cinnamon roll. Although this was approximately our eighth trip to Shelter Cove, we had never tried Surf Point Cafe. Very cozy atmosphere, upscale but not pretentious. As close to the ocean as you can get without being in it! Excellent avocado toast for Anna, wonderful French toast for me! And when we went back, Anna got an eggs Benedict and I got their house-made cinnamon crunch cereal with blueberries aplenty. The Breakfast Bowls, Breakfast burritos (a little potato heavy ask for extra salsa) , the stunning and flavorful avocado toast or just build your own from the sides offerings. Baked goods are available (but avoid the croissants which aren't even remotely like a croissant and Definately not baked locally) The berry turnover was a hit with our group. Without saying anything, the owner noticed the color of the drink was not right and promptly made her a new one. Very thoughtful and sweet. Such an amazing addition to the cove!!! The staff are the sweetest, the drinks are amazing. All of that could be horrible, but the view that they have, I'd still come back everyday. The food at this place will blow you away. Had the sausage and gravy over biscuits. Perfect biscuit. Crispy outside, soft inside, not dry. Perfect cooked sunny side up egg. Others at the table had French toast and standard breakfast. Potatoes super good. Everything was so on key, if this place served this quality in SF Bay Area, it would be an easy hit. And this is one of two breakfast places in Shelter Cove. Weak point of the breakfast was the sausage patty. For some reason, it was gamey and hard. Not as flavorful as a standard sausage patty. My wife, a seasoned eggs Benedict consumer, says theirs is the best she's had. The fresh baked goods are very good, and it is pleasantly surprising to find this Bay Area quality in a small town like Shelter Cove. Service is friendly, and staff go out of their way to please. Even though they get really busy, resulting in a bit of a wait, it is not unexpected in this remote location. And it is easy to wait because the view is killer. Where do I even start? This cafe is amazing and the hospitality is impeccable. This is our third year coming up in fact we even got married at Black Sands Beach last year. We always make sure to stay at the oceanfront Inn. This little gem of a restaurant happens to be attached to it. The food there is spectacular. The portions are perfect and the taste is are like nothing else. Don't even get me started on their Baker Jasmine not only is she a phenomenal baker, but such a sweetheart. We always make a point of getting the cinnamon rolls while we're there. In fact I had to bring four home for the rest of my family. Let me also mention that all the bagels croissants muffins everything there is made from scratch by her. The cooks and the baker are top notch here. Last but not least Jasmine made my wedding cake last year, I gave her an idea of what I wanted, and she ran with it. The cake looked like something that belonged in a movie kind of like a vampire ball or wedding. We went with lemon blackberry and it did not disappoint. In fact we kept the top of our wedding cake and just cut into it this year after our anniversary. It was still delicious. The food is ok and the view is GREAT. I been here couple times. Been eating brunch here with my kids. The previous 2 times was fine. But today with what happened I am not feeling being respected. My toddler went to the play corner to play with the toys while I'm drinking my coffee then later she went to the back to grab more toys and the pokers fell off the counter and I apologized and let my daughter go back and cleaned up all the toys. While my daughter is doing this one of the lady(staff) was wrapped up all the toys and remove them from the playing corner and took away one of the toys that my daughter is holding too. And she took all the toys away and looks back at me very madly and walk away with all the toys very fast . I don't know what is her issue. read more

Incredible food with an amazing view! Having celebrated their first anniversary in September, they are doing everything right. The coffee. The food. The hospitality. Definitely deserves five stars. Our server, C.C., was absolutely charming. When I asked for a breakfast recommendation, she didn't hesitate to say, "The Egges Benedict is one of our most popular items." I'm glad I took her advice. I nearly licked the plate clean. My husband had the Biscuits & Gravy (sorry I was too involved with my Benny to get that picture), but he left with a big smile and fully belly. No small portions here. Chai Latte. Americano. That topped the breakfast. We also enjoyed a small lemon tart. The handcrafted baked goods will definitely draw you back. Open six days a week until 4pm, this is a wonderful addition to the Shelter Cove's burgeoning tourism economy. Definitely worth taking the road less traveled. read more

Love this place! Stayed next door at the Black Sands Inn so Surf Point Coffee & Bistro was conveniently located right next door. Fabulous location right on the water so every seat (inside and out) has amazing views. The decor inside is lovely and inviting. Service was top notch and the food was fabulous. We had the roasted red pepper soup and the crispy prosciutto and sage grilled cheese with a side salad. For dessert we had the oatmeal cream pie and the chocolate macaroon and they were delicious as well. We will definitely be going back tomorrow! read more
