I have never written a review in my life, but this place pushed me to it. Absolutely ridiculous. I went in for a simple teeth cleaning and was quoted $1,800 for a "cleaning and trays." I didn't ask for trays. I didn't ask for extras. I asked for my teeth to be cleaned. It felt like a straight-up money grab. Total waste of time. And charging $20 just to tell someone it's going to cost $1,800? Unreal. If you want to be upsold and blindsided, this is your place. If you just want a normal cleaning, go somewhere else. read more

This place needs investigated. I am new to the area, a healthy 27 year old women that gets my teeth cleaned twice a year and never miss. I was looking for a new dentist that took my insurance. This place says it does but didn't they made it seem like my teeth were going to fall out if I didn't pay them 3k for a cleaning and buy some tray? Very odd. I went to harbor dentist for a second opinion and they said my teeth are very healthy and set me up with a normal teeth cleaning plan with 0 cavities and a lil discolor from coffee. I tried to start an appointment for a new patient for my son, who is away at college. The girl who answered told me we had to make an appointment first for a consultation and couldn't tell me when we could get in for a cleaning or how far out they are scheduling their cleanings. She kept saying is there anything else you need because I've already answered your question that we have to make a consult appointment first, then we can tell you when you can get in for a cleaning... This doesn't help someone who is only in town for certain times of the year. I asked to be transferred to someone who might be able to help me with an approximation of how far out bookings are for cleanings and she just hung up on me. I am appalled by this person's lack of customer service and uncaring attitude. She just kept repeating the same thing & trying to get off the phone with me. read more

Honestly the WORST dentist office I have ever visited. Dentist was nice, but they won't let me get a basic teeth cleaning, instead making me come back for consultations. Also offered insanely priced procedures and no other options, creating a lot of stress on me. Don't go - instead choose a family dentist, this is just a money grab. read more

The best part is that when you try and contact them they'll ignore your phone calls, emails and text. I'm only able to talk with someone via text and they've given me the run around for almost 2 months. Not only are these clowns complete hacks at dentistry but apparently they never took any ethics classes in dentistry school. You will receive bogus invoices YEARS after the service was performed and then levied late charges despite never receiving an initial invoice for the bogus charge. I was just there for cleaning today but after examination they recommended me fixing one of my fillings. I asked them if that has to be done today, and they said it can be done at a different time although it is preferable if I take action early. I told them I WILL ONLY DO CLEANING TODAY AND GET MY FILLING DONE AT A LATER TIME because I had to go back to work afterwards. They seemed to be taking my note, but then after cleaning my teeth they asked me to go to another room and proceeded to anesthetize my gum. I knew I was supposed to get some fluoride treatment and was expecting that, so I was actually shocked when the dentist went on injecting anesthetic. While I was sitting there confused, they asked me to sign the consent forms. They should have asked me to consent BEFORE anesthetizing. I don't understand why they didn't ask me before numbing my gum. What can I do at that point?? They already numbed my mouth. I complained again that I told them that I WANTED TO DO MY FILLING AT A LATER TIME. One of the assistants said that she's sorry, that there must have been miscommunication. I ended up attending the work meeting LATE and with my mouth NUMBED, which left me largely unsatisfied. AGAIN, I JUST WANTED CLEANING TODAY AND THEY DIDN'T REALLY TAKE MY OPINION. My friend who went to this clinic per my recommendation to take care of her wisdom tooth also told me that they ended up making her do deep cleansing treatment which she didn't want during that visit. I've had generally good experiences with the clinic in the past (other than having to wait long past my appointment time), but I was just not happy today. I've been telling my friends at work to go here for their appointment but I will no longer recommend this place to others. read more

Simply put the worst dental experience of my life... After three visits, over a month span, I unfortunately had to move half-way across the country with a temporary crown (Which I had for over a month...) to hopefully find a new dentist who could fix the complete disaster that was in my mouth. No surprise that it took over three months to get the refund for the crown I didn't get... The staff while for the most part friendly isn't enough to make up for "surprise procedures", multiple useless visits and a subpar billing staff. read more

Everyone was also very pleasant and accommodating to making sure you were okay and comfortable at all times. They definitely were not interested in saving me any money and didn't have any consideration for my time. I am glad I went to another dentist and got a second opinion. I felt weary about going back for my next appointment so I went to another dentist to get a second opinion. Atlantic Beach Dentistry ended up getting me in the next day and charged me $400 less for superior service. Surfside wanted to max out their fees and wasn't able to schedule me for a month out and wanted to add and extra appointment for what will only take me two now. read more

Where do I begin?? Dr. Le and her staff provided me the BEST dental visit I've ever experienced! Although I just had a routine cleaning I can confidently say that everyone there knows what they're doing and ensures that you are happy and comfortable throughout the entirety of your visit. Vinny was very funny and gentle with his cleaning and gave out lots of tips along the way. Amber and Stacey were also great (and it didn't hurt that they provided complimentary WINE while I waited!). FURTHERMORE, the music was super upbeat and fun and TBH I felt like I was at happy hour and not the dentist. GO TO SURFSIDE DENTAL YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. Coming from a healthcare provider, the service they provide at Surfside is phenomenal! Working in healthcare, sometimes providers are just ready to treat the patient and provide their recommendations but Dr. Le broke everything down and explained why I needed certain treatments and the benefit I would get from treatment. The billing is terrible. I found out that I had a very small balance after being contacted by a collection agency 3 years after the service. I never received a bill. Do NOT use this practice!!! Been going here for years with no problems, but the dentist recently changed again and has been nothing but disasters for last few months. Went in for cleaning and was told my old filling was bad and needed a crown. Went in for crown and was given temporary and told lab was backed up so would be 2 and half weeks for permanent. Came back for permanent and it broke while the assistant was putting it in. Told would be 2 more weeks. I was leaving the country for 2 weeks so I had to go with the ill fitting temporary crown that I had to reattach myself daily with denture cream. No one ever called or texted to say new crown was ready so I called upon return. Was told would be 2 weeks before they could see me to put in the new crown. Finally got new crown and it is still ill fitting. Told I would need to pay out of pocket for new retainers since mine no longer fit with new crown even though I bought my retainer from this office 2 years ago. Was told is a new dentist in charge now so they won't give me my 3 free replacement retainers. The dentist also did something to my retainer to try to make fit the new crown so that it is rough so even if I go somewhere else to have my ill fitting crown fixed, my retainer is still messed up. I strongly caution you not to use this office!!!! read more

Great office, everyone is really friendly, place is very clean and up to date. Nice atmosphere, even TVs on the ceiling to watch while they work. They are also honest about what you need done or options. Have only had a long wait once, otherwise run mostly on time, maybe a little behind if end of day. read more

Been coming here since 2014 Every time a different dentist well this time I got one worse the a used car sales man . All that's in her mind is up selling not even an ounce of compassion what a joke . I need a single tooth pulled but apparently I need a lot more to which I'm sure it's true but dam $600 for one freaking tooth ? I k ow it's the beach and most people got that kind of cash to throw around but I work for a living and that's with insurance lol . Dr Pauline is absolutely the best! She is so considerate and actually asks what you want to achieve in your results instead of just taking your money and injecting you. I have always had extremely thin lips and after going thru a bad experience at a Plastic surgeons office I was scared to try again. I found dr Pauline thru a friend of mine who had great results so I booked my appt. I have since had 2 appts with her for lip fillers and I could not be more impressed with my results! I also thought I needed Botox but she educated me and we decided to wait a few more years :) My lips are exactly how I've always wanted them nice and plump while remaining a very natural look with no bumps or hardness and that's what I got. I did not experience swelling and only had one small dot of a bruis my first appt but my second I had zero bruising which I was very pleased with. They are extremely soft and perfectly shaped I have since sent 2 clients of mine to dr Pauline and they were also very please with their results I highly recommend dr lee!! read more

in my opinion...;STAY AWAY in pain and no damn doctor will respond !!!!!!!!!! I had 4....four.....4.... crown yesterday. This company probably sells used cars too. I was boxed into a corner and I feel that I was taken advantage of. Because I work for "the Government" I am required to do an annual wellness check including a Physical exam and a Dental Exam, and my time line was compressed due to being delayed in the Middle East... yes... THAT Middle East. Although my teeth aren't perfect the doctor insisted that my Government Dental form would not be signed unless i had a "Deep Cleaning " and ...4.... FOUR CROWNS !!!. Although a precious dentist noted "Potential work".. NOTHING was immediately needed. And I had NO...ZERO...none...NO discomfort. So as I needed the document "NOW" I accepted the deal (to me it was a ransom). FOUR CROWNS replaced in four hours... ANnnnd... "OH WE'VE HAD A CANCELLATION ....so we can do the deep cleaning now, if you're ok with that. 30 minutes later and the deep cleaning ... done. Back in to the other room to complete the last crown.... oh thats not ... right... nope let's try it again... nope still not right... two different rookies... then someone with experience... THEN the dentist comes in and on the 4th try... they say "all done". When I ask for a discount due to not needing to be numbed for the planned two other appointments... the answer was an ambiguous " the price for the cleaning is a package price". I responded with "But you didnt pay for the additional anesthetic and what was supposed to take two days was completed in 30 minutes....... nope no discount. Now a day later... significant discomfort.. ( not killing me) sensitivity to pressure and temperature. FOUR DAMN PHONE CALLS LATER ON A FRIDAY AND NO-ONE-WILL-CALL-ME-BACK. $4000 billed in 4 hours !!!!!!! and now NO..DOCTOR...WILL RETURN...MY PHONE CALLS read more

This group always seem to find a way to charge more. I have dental insurance they told my plan doesn't cover crowns. I contacted my plan they confirm they do & they contacted Surfside & said they do cover. Surfside again said no TO THE INSURANCE COMPANY. My family have been coming to this place for 6 years & it was great at 1st.. I changed insurance company's. Instead of telling me they don't except that insurance that day. They sent me a bill for $200 for a cleaning a month later. After that they let go all of their staff for not doing there job they told me but won't do anything about my bill. I told them if they would have told me I would gone to a place that will take my insurance . I will tell everyone never to go here! They just want your money & not about the people! read more

Do not walk away from these people run.... I have been here twice and both times I pay my bill and have them confirm with my insurance carrier work is approved before they start but several months after you get the service and have receipt showing you pay in full they still want to charge a extra $250. I am filing a complaint with better business bureau... very bad company to do business with!!!! read more

I had an emergency and they were able to get me in the same day minutes later! Clean office with friendly and welcoming staff. My insurance company was not open yet to get an authorization but the staff helped me get what I needed in time for my procedure and kept in constant communication with me. I was nervous about the work I needed done but the Doctor did a fantastic job with my filling and repair. Didn't feel a thing and after the Novocain wore off, my teeth and bite felt great. Won't have to return for any touch ups. Had such a great experience that I will be returning this month for my comprehensive and cleaning. read more

Surfside Dental Care is double charging their patients. I know of 2 people now that have been overcharged, procedures done that were not nessessary, billed again even though they paid at visit, sadly this office is working the system. I do not recommend going there or if you do make sure you are being billed correctly!! read more

I'm filing a BBB complaint as well...They asked for total payment 1 month before the appointment $895.00...received my insurance explanation of benefits and I overpaid 300+ dollars. Called billing several times with no explanation except they never billed for my cleaning 2 months prior? All the billing is done in the Southside office and have never received a call back. 2 months after that... they upped the billing to my insurance company to not have to refund the money I overpaid!! read more
