I've been to other trampoline parks and I this one was the most affordable and enjoyable for toddlers. For $8 your child can jump for an 1hr and 30min which is plenty of time in my opinion. During the week they have deals during the day for toddler for unlimited jump time and sometimes we have the place to ourselves. There is a lot space available, so even when it's busy it doesn't feel super crowded. My only complaint is the bathrooms. They are always dirty and smell bad. I try to avoid going there if I can! I see the staff has plenty of downtime so I don't know why they aren't getting cleaned. I noticed several other people have mentioned them in their reviews also. As of recent the dodgeball area is closed and I don't know why. It's been like that for a few weeks now so I hope it gets fixed soon. We came for the first time last week, and we liked it a lot better than a different one we've been to in Winston. I liked that the lights were on, and the music wasn't obnoxiously loud. There is a good variety of activities, from trampolines to basketball trampolines to my favorite part.. a toddler area! Our daughter (3) loved it so much she has not stopped talking about it since we left. The only reason for 4 vs 5 stars is that it is pretty dirty. The good: a variety of play areas, diverse staff, kids always have a blast. The not so good: bathrooms are really gross and upkeep seems to be at a minimum. Not sure how clean it is overall. First time here- my son had an absolute BLAST! It was pretty clean (we didn't use the bathrooms though), music was good, the "snack bar" had decent prices- I liked that they had massage chairs, although I didn't sit in one, they're a good idea! Lots to do & next time we go, I'll definitely be jumping too!!! Staff was all young & definitely didn't seem to care about much at all. The "arcade" is "leased" so- if the machines don't work, and the game eats your money, you're SOL 'cause they'll refuse to refund you claiming it's out of their hands- I spoke to one manager & she went to speak to her higher up, who actually presented looking like a homeless man. I was pretty surprised that that was the best appearance he could have to represent a company. read more

My kid attended a party here. It's an absolute madhouse, which (I think) is to be expected. So, the obvious stuff is that Surge is staffed by a bunch of kids babysitting and making sure the customers with parties are satisfied. There are maybe an adult or two at the front desk doing the phone and paper work. That being said, everything seems to happen as needed. The kids are all flipping and bouncing, and surge-ing(?) and eating whatever they have at the parties. In the end, that's probably what matters. Nothing burned down and I saw no broken bones. Yay! We were pleasantly surprised when we took our granddaughters on a late afternoon during the week. The place seemed very clean and organized. We had some trouble with the check in computer and the manager Kate took care of it. The other employees were very friendly and helpful. Loved the massage chairs and the kids, 11 and 9 loved it. Win win! However the men's room could use some updating but it was clean. It was a very pleasant experience. read more

Can't help but to compare this place to Rockin Jump since they're so close by. Hard to really say which one is better, but I'd probably give the overall nod to Rockin Jump. I like the layout there a bit better as far as being able to supervise kids. This place gets a bit carried away with the foam pits. The ninja course is a unique idea, but hardly any of the kids could do it. I guess that's the idea. The zip line and high dive are fun ideas too. They also have some game area with jumping and slapping targets, but nobody seemed to play that. Essentially seems like wasted space. Speaking of wasted space, there is way too much empty space in the middle and to the side party area. The place is so huge that they could fit more to do there with that empty space. Their website has a little kids play climber area too, but this seems to have been removed as well. They have a toddler area, but there seemed to be no staff to speak of to supervise the trampoline platforms. So there were some mighty big toddlers in that area too. Lots of futons to sit on for the non jumpers, but good luck getting up quickly from them as your kid quickly abandons what they're doing and goes speeding off to the other side of the park! You can purchase your tickets, socks, and sign waivers online ahead of time so you don't have to wait in line. The quality of the socks are poor compared to Rockin Jump, and we would probably just go with the RJ socks next time, if and when we were to come back. There was a pad that came loose, exposing the metal hardware between the trampolines, but that happens I guess. Kids had a great time, but I don't think they liked it quite as much as RJ. Nice alternative option though. read more

Far better than the average indoor trampoline center. They have much more selection and options for activities and entertainment. My teenage sons (13 & 15) had a blast! While it was very crowded the day we went, there were sufficient staff members to accommodate the crowd. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I feel the drinks and snacks are way overpriced. But overall great experience! read more

We paid for our tickets online ($68.95) and then found out my daughter, who is under 2 years old, should only have been charged $3 to be added to my jump. I tried to call regarding this and after over 10 attempts we decided to go in and ask about it prior to our jump session. Jaron (sp?) the manager was easily the rudest, most unprofessional, individual I've dealt with. The no refund clause is not on the e-mail receipt. He asked me to show him my phone after explaining this to him, and stating we didn't have a paper receipt from the location. The younger lady at the front (I believe her name was Charitey) was extremely helpful and stated the offer isn't online but that they could provide a jump pass. The manager then hastily agreed with her. We denied the passes because we will not be visiting this location again. I asked for a managing partner/corporate/franchise number and he said that it ended with him. If that's the future of this franchise, good luck. Thanks to the young lady at the front for her candor and patience but that manager needs to find a new line of work away from the general public. Period. read more

If i could give less than one star i would type of place. Bathrooms were pools of filth. No sanitation, it smelled like raw feet cheese.

Kids liked it, but the staff was completely useless and the checkin process is not well thought out and slower than cold molasses. We prepaid for a 90 minute jump session that we only got to use 60 minutes of because it took so long to get checked in. The various play facilities have a good variety and seem to be well constructed, but the building itself was messy and falling apart. Trim pieces were on the floor, crumbling drywall and sloppy repairs everywhere. Not enough places for the adults to sit, either. Could really be a great place if they could get better help and get their act together. read more

Super friendly staff, awesome music, so many options for games, age related areas, snack bar, arcade, and really cool time keeper system! Last week I took my nephew here for a little fun. My nephew is 2 years old, but full of energy! Before deciding to go I looked at the website and saw they have "Toddler Time" from 11am to 1pm Tuesday-Friday. During "Toddler Time" children ages 6 and under can jump for $8 and the accompanying adult can jump for an additional $2 which a STEAL. I assumed that it meant that the park would only have ages 6 and under there during that time, but I assumed incorrectly. Ages 6 and under and accompanying adults can just jump at a discounted rate during that time. This didn't upset me, I just misread and made an incorrect assumption. It did make for a little bit more a hectic experience for myself and my nephew because he's small and it was very busy. I am a teacher so I was in town for Spring Break which meant it was very busy since all traditional calendar public schools in the area were also on Spring Break. They do have a toddler section at the park for children 4 and under that's small, but appropriate if you can actually get your toddler to stay there. My nephew wouldn't stay in because he wanted to get out and explore. Children 4 and under are not confined to that section so I did take him to other areas throughout the park. When you purchase your jump time you will receive a colored wristband with a time on it. That is your jump "end" time. Each end time is given a different color. When it's that time they will make an announcement telling everyone that is it close to, let's just say, 1:00 and if you have on that colored wristband it is time for you to stop jumping. They just make the announcement, the staff throughout the park didn't really check to make sure people left, but I'm sure if they saw you too far behind the time they would say something. My biggest complaint was the sock purchase. On the website it says you must jump with "Surge" socks, but that is simply not true. I saw people jumping in all types of socks. I wish I had realized that and not spent $5 on socks for my nephew and myself (they are $2.50 per pair). I would've appreciated that being more regulated, if they're not going to give socks with the price to jump. Overall I enjoyed myself and so did my nephew so I plan to return! read more

We had my children's party at Surge in Winston-Salem today. Unfortunately we will probably never book another party at Surge again. We arrived ahead of time like we were supposed to, and they didn't have anything ready. THERE WEREN'T EVEN TABLES READY! My guests were arriving and nothing was ready. They finally went to get us tables and put us in the corner by the bathrooms & half way threw table clothes on the table and that was it. They didn't even put them on straight. There were no party plates, utensils or anything. Our host did next to nothing. They didn't communicate or speak to us. All they did was hand out socks to kids and put on the wristbands. We had to ask for water, plates, and utensils. We weren't given any napkins. The plates they did give us were not party plates like I've seen used at other jump parties, but cheap white styrofoam crap. I'm really upset that we paid what we did for this mess. A lot of my guests complained and said that I, the parent, should have been the one paid to host the party since they sure didn't. As if that wasn't enough, they put my husband on the spot and asked for a tip. Of course he did tip because he didn't want to be rude, but he shouldn't have. I really think we should be given a refund for the ridiculousness of what was supposed to be a hosted party. read more

Took our grandkids here - never again! The 3 female staff members at check-in were more concerned with each other's hair than the customers. Asked several times to get the "hook" so the kids could swing on the trapeze bar, but it was never found - the female employee that "looked" for it , never put her phone down. The bathrooms were filthy, out of toilet paper. Several of the arcade machines were unplugged. The play areas needed a good cleaning and sweeping - and we were there when they opened! Hopefully, these issues can be addressed, because kids need a place to go. read more

Winston Salem is a very small place and everyone that matters knows everyone! Tonight we had a last minute birthday for our son and called his little buddies and their parents... decided to go Surge on Hanes Mall and had the the worst experience. There was a lady that works there gave my wife and Ruth an attitude... so I heard this and spoke to her with her attitude and at the end called her ghetto...we paid for several kids and because kids will be kids charged us 50/hr for every table they just sat... I don't mind paying but their customer service is beyond horrible and they are rude! Parents let us not patronize this type of establishment in our community! The one on university, chuckee cheese and safari nation deserve our business more! The girl with an attitude says her name is Asia, very rude and apparently we re not the only ones she gave a problem with. read more

Great place to let kids run around and be kids! We had my daughters birthday party here and went great! The staff was very, very helpful in coordinating the birthday party, not to mention polite and nice. Lots for kids to do to stay busy, all activities are monitored for safety by staff. The only thing that would make it better, is have a door person to keep children in like they do at Chuck E Cheeses. Will be back with the kids guaranteed! read more

Whenever I go I always have a good time, and the staff are really friendly and probably would be friendlier to you if you were friendly to them as well! took my kids today to let them burn off some energy. got there at 7 ( they close at 8 so perfect 1 hour jump time). as most places do, I signed a waiver and sent my boys jumping. as I'm sitting there watching, I started noticing that no employees were monitoring any of the kids there. they were cleaning and socializing with each other. At one point, a guy was vacuuming and stretching the cord all over the place not being mindful that that's a major trip hazard and a bunch of kids running around. it almost tripped my wife. my youngest son wanted to play on one of the features which goes around in a circle and you jump over a padded bar. he asked the guy vacuuming and he responded "after I get done ". not very good customer service. every time I've been in there, it's been the same thing. they make you feel like you're an asshole when you ask them to open something you pay to play on. they were more worried about leaving at 8 then making sure their customers had a good time. we have been there a bunch of times but I think this is the last time. if I was the owner, I'd fire them all. nobody wants to take their jobs seriously anymore and it truly shows at this place. read more

I came here for their toddler jump time and I assumed that when you paid you could be there for the full 2 hours. That's not the case here, you only get an hour. Not to mention the music is REALLY loud during this time. You'd think for toddler time they wouldn't blare the music and would also play more kid friendly music. A group of us went to Surge tonight to have fun and celebrate. When we arrived at 6:30 there was a sign posted that they were "at capacity". We decided to buy wristbands for 10:00-11:00 and return after dinner. When we arrived back they told us they were "at capacity" again and had the doors blocked but we explained to the officer we had prepurchased. The sales clerk was hesitant to serve us and had to speak to another person (who appeared to be a supervisor) before finally giving us our bands. Once we got onto the floor, several activities were being shut down and closing procedures had began (trash, mopping, spraying sanitizer). When we asked if we could do two of the activities we were told they were "closed". The rock climbing was also closed. They started vacuuming and mopping and there was no one supervising on the upper floor around 10:10. When our time was up at 11:00 we asked if we could take a pic in front of the surge banner before leaving and we were told again "sorry, we're closed". Several of the staff members had small children running around and other family/friends waiting on them on the couch area to get off work. Needless to say, we were very disappointed. read more
