What ad Great sushi! I stopped here when I was in town on the business trip, and I could not have been happier with this place! The sushi was really fresh and fantastic. The edamame was hot and salted just ripped plus, they did a good job, knowing about what was gluten-free for celiac like me. Inside had a casual vibe that would make anyone feel welcome.

Really fantastic sushi! My family and I had the miso soup and cucumber salad for starters and then we had the Lemon Roll, OMG Roll, Cucumber Roll, Radish Roll, and the Vegetarian Lemon Roll. Everything was very delicious, personal favorites were the OMG and the Radish Roll. Reasonably priced and small but with plenty of seating. Service was attentive and helpful. Great Sushi for Colorado, from a good living in the coast!

We ordered the toro (fatty tuna), which the texture felt more like chutoro (medium fatty tuna), but still good. Also ordered the yellowtail nigiri and spicy salmon roll which was good as well. As for the roll, I ordered the Super Crunch... 4/5 (too many crunchies). Environment was quiet and relaxing. Overall, just a good basic sushi restaurant.

This place is pretty good, it only got 4/5 because the sushi could be a little colder and the appetizers need to be served hotter like the edamame and the dumplings. It's a popular spot for military so it's always busy at lunch time. Go during the weekend.

My Vegas roll was perfect. Great size, perfectly fried so it wasn't hard to eat or too done. The avocado and salmon were both fresh. The wait was not very long but I came at 12:30 and may have missed the lunch rush. I assume being super close to Ft Carson it does get super busy at times. They offer take out though, so you can call in beforehand.

My family absolutely loves Sushi Ai, we have been here a few times and it will continue to be our go-to place for sushi in Colorado Springs. The spicy tuna and Cheyenne Mountain roll is to die for. The fish is always so fresh and beautifully presented. The service is exceptional and they are very attentive. The atmosphere is cozy and edgy at the same time. they r very $$$$$ & customer service is mid. they seemed to have gotten annoyed with us when we asked for something &&&& the food didnt have much taste anyway.. unless you had sauce with it. the vibes in there are just weird. they need like a t.v or music or something bc the workers just stand around and look at you. especially lil short guy behind sushi bar he stared at me so much i thought that there was a tv above/behind me lol. read more

Fairly priced with amazing food. The sushi combo options I wish included what type of sushi was included just because I'm allergic to fish but can eat crab. I got the Tonkatsu and it filled me up with extra to take home The staff was very friendly and tried to cater to all of our needs to the best of their abilities It's a great place to sit down and enjoy food with family or on a date night. read more

If I could rate 0 star I would. 1 Caterpillar roll shouldn't take an hour when we were the first of 2 tables to be seated in the restaurant. When asked about the caterpillar roll, the server that took our order, said the chefs are swamped, there's only 3 other tables occupied. Watching the other tables receive their sushi order we asked again about our 1 caterpillar roll. The only roll that we ordered. And the excuse was, they have to grill the unagi. Worst service, I had to ask twice and motion once for tea refills. We ordered 1 "Bibimbop" they forgot the gochujang and spoon, 2 orders of hamachi, 2 orders of maguro, 1 order of amaebi, 1 order caterpillar roll, and 1 order of tempura calamari. Every thing but the caterpillar roll was delivered within the first 30 min. The quality was ok, the sushi rice could have been packed smaller and tighter. The service needs work, not once was water refilled, and I had to ask twice and motion once for my tea to be filled, all the while the front of the house staff was talking to each other. 0 stars in my opinion, it's rated no.3 on trip advisor. This was my first and also last visit to this establishment. read more

I just love Sushi Ai. The people are always so pleasant and the sushi is always absolutely delicious. Another one of my favorite things to order aside from sushi is the beef teriyaki bowl, it comes with rice, vegetables and the teriyaki beef and is VERY filling! I've had most of the rolls on their menu and every single one is amazingly delicious. read more

Place was pretty pathetic tonight. I've eatten here before and it was ok, but tonight was something else. waited and hour and 15 minutes because it was payday and the order was all wrong, they said they were sorry but no discount for their piss poor staffing. Waitress said they are always this busy but apparently don't staff to it on paydays. I have no idea what's in my order but had to get going and there were no chop sticks nothing. Avoid at all costs on paydays unless you want to spend an hour plus waiting on pretty basic sushi. read more

Wow! Just ordered through DoorDash to satisfy a sushi craving and this hit the spot. Everything was delicious and freshly made, the salmon sashimi was melt in your mouth tender and fresh tasting. This place was soooo delicious and the customer service was great. My friends and I stopped by here for lunch and we rackedddd up. Our server was very helpful and gave us some pretty good recommendations. The food came out in a timely manner and they were very flexible with adjusting the entrees to our liking. They had a really good lunch special and you can mix and match to make it work to fit your taste buds. We definitely will be going back soon. read more

This was an exceptional meal tonight. We arrived around 8:15. Service was spot on we started with a shared small hot saki. It was plenty to warm us up and lightened the atmosphere at our table, after a long day at work. We both order a Shrimp Tempura Spring roll and discovered one between us would have been plenty. I ordered sushimi octopus and yellow tail tuna. OMG. The octopus was perfect. With a hint of the ocean sweetness. The Yellow fin was scrumptous. The owner brought a plate of hot Edomie ? Lightly salted with a fine sea salt and warm centers of beans. The Mooki was a good finish. read more

We did not get sushi here. We are hibachi instead and it was amazing. Our chef was funny and entertaining and the food was great. It's always a great show when we go for hibachi and they didn't disappoint. read more

I got Usagi, Hamachi, Tako, and California roll and ALL of it was delicious! If you want great service, great food, and great staff, come here! I have dined at Sushi Ai on a few occasions- their sushi tastes great...until about thirty minutes later when I am in upper-intestinal agony. I thought the first time was a fluke so I brushed it off. The second time I ate there the food, as usual, was great tasting- until, as aforementioned, I was doubled-over my toilet. I do not know if the fish products they are using is expired, if I have received "off" sushi on the few occasions I have visited, or if there is a bigger issue the board of health needs to investigate. I am an avid sushi eater (Tomo Sushi / Fujiyama) so I know my stomach can handle the raw-fish. If you have the stomach of a goat you may be ok, if you're just a typical human you may want to bring a few Imodium with you. read more

Fine but I wouldn't get it again. The highlight sushi wise was the sushi and sashimi combo. It came with a salad and 8 pieces of nigiri (tuna, salmon, escolar, and shrimp) and 9 pieces of sashimi (tuna, salmon, escolar) as well as a tuna roll. The sashimi slices were large and all delicious and the order was only $37. Of the basic rolls we had the unagi roll and the spicy hamachi roll. I could barely tell what kind of fish was in either as there was so little meat. Of the special rolls we had the kill bill and the Russian roulette. Both rolls were great and the Russian roulette was a super fun one as one of the pieces is very spicy. Great sushi for a great price that I would definitely come back to.

The box itself held grilled teriyaki chicken on a bed of cabbage, a serving of white rice, a small salad with a gingery dressing, Two pieces of California roll, and five pieces of Tempura. The tempura consisted of four vegetable pieces and one large shrimp. I traded my husband my shrimp for one of his veggies. The chicken was very tasty and I appreciated the cabbage on which it's at as well as the salad. The California roll was OK. And the tempura was excellent. Their wide selection of sushi looked interesting, but we had our heart sit on bentos this time. A note on the table mentions that there is a surcharge on all credit card purchases. I note, though that the surcharge percent was based on total plus tax, which seemed wrong.

I have been to this restaurant many times. Tonight was the last time I will go. I am so disappointed in the staff and the food. The atmosphere is uncomfortable and the facilities are worn down. The men's bathroom was so filthy I feel obligated to call the health department. The food was marginal at best. I was made to feel ashamed to ask for vegetarian let alone vegan choices, and after I did, our waitress made me feel uncomfortable and stood and chatted with the other waitress at the waitress stand and never came back to our table. I felt ashamed to not be Asian as our party of two was served well after a party of six Asians who came well after we arrived were served and greeted with glee with multiple dishes. read more

It is some of the best sushi I have ever had. Better than when I went to Washington and had sushi there. Everytime we go here they are SO GENEROUS and kind. Our sushi is always fresh and prepared with genuine care for what they do. They're so personal and kind to their customers they made us a sushi boat to congratulate us on the birth of our son at no extra charge. The price is totally worth the quality that you get. Good portions as well. Personally though, their miso soup is literally the best I've ever had.
