Sushi Spot is one of my favorite restaurants in Colorado Springs! The quality of the food is consistently excellent--everything is fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. My absolute favorites are the pork belly bao and the toro. The pork belly bao is tender and incredibly flavorful, while the toro is rich, buttery, and melts in your mouth. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and the service has been consistently great. My only small complaint is that it can get pretty loud inside during busy times, so it may not be the best choice if you're looking for a quiet dinner. That said, the amazing food and excellent service make it well worth the visit. I always look forward to coming back! read more

Everyone that we dealt with from the hostess to the server to the sushi maker were really great friendly with genuine smiles. 3.5 stars This place has a solid spicy tuna roll, and the overall prices are lower than most sushi spots. The restaurant isn't large, maybe 16 tables, and it was slammed the entire time. It feels like a good bargain spot, which explains the popularity. I wasn't super impressed, but I understand the value. We did wait almost an hour to be served, which is longer than most places. The ambiance is your standard sushi-spot vibe. If I come back, I'd stick with the spicy tuna rolls since I liked them more than the specialty rolls, which is rare for me. I want to like this place, but honestly, it barely deserves 3 stars. The sushi came out looking extremely sloppy and unappetizing. Messy rolls, uneven cuts, and presentation that didn't make me excited to eat it. Taste-wise, it was passable, but the salmon roll was hard to eat. The one saving grace was the service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely tried to make the experience pleasant, which is why I couldn't give this any lower than 3 stars. Great, casual sushi spot! The food was beautifully presented. I had the crab rangoons and ebisu roll. They were both good. I tried my friend's unagi nigiri, and I wish I would have gotten an order of that as well. The dessert was my favorite part of the whole meal. Don't sleep on the fried wonton with apple pie filling (and it came with a scoop of ice cream). It was delicious. Service was great! Because I personally don't like the white fish & the chef readjust the plate to only have salmon, tuna, albacore tuna, octopus etc. Miso soup is tasty with some soft tofu in it. Portions for Chirashi can be easily split for two persons. It was a bit plate for good value $29! I'm happy with the customer service because he recognized us right away as a regular clients. Love the real ceramic with sakura pattern tea cup! Ambience is on the darker color decors. Neat & clean. They also offer many alcoholic drinks included sake. Deducted one point because I have to wait to ask my waiter to fill up my hot green tea. I wishes they can leave a small jar for me, so I can do self service on my hot tea. The food was so yummy and the service was fast. Our favorite dish was the unagi (eel) nigiri. Not from CO, but I would 100% come back!

Came here for lunch and was happy with the quality of the sushi. The interior is what you'd expect, service is friendly and prices are comparably painful to pretty much every other spot I've tried in town. Plenty of parking available and the place is clean. The tables are up against a booth bench. There really arent any private booths from what I saw but there is a special menu posted on the wall. They also offer noodle dishes, and the ordering style is a bit awkward as they give the table one sheet to order from. I feel like rolls could get mixed up this way, but my buddy ordered noodles, so I cannot confirm or deny this. All in all worth a visit, just expect to spend some money! read more

It could have easily been a 5-Star review, except for an issue when we took our son there for his 16th birthday. We ordered $100+ of food for the four of us, but had a problem...we had a long human hair in one of our sushi rolls. We didn't make a scene, we discreetly called over our waitress and pointed it out. She apologized and said that she would have the roll re-made and take the price off the bill. We received the new roll and finished our meal. The food and service was good, but we were shocked when we got the bill because the sushi roll (which was $17.95)) was still showing on the bill. We were informed that the one with the hair in it was removed, but that they were charging us for re-making it! The service was super quick as well. The space has an indoor-outdoor living vibe that is super cool and it's extremely well decorated. All the nigiri we got was delicious! This was our second visit to this restaurant. We were greeted when we entered, and given our choice of seating. The decor is understated, but lovely. The young lady asked us if we liked miso soup - we said,"Yes!" So she brought us each a complementary bowl. And it was delicious miso soup. We also each ordered iced tea, After looking over the menu, we started with chicken gyoza. My husband decided to get a lunch bento box with fish Katsu as his entrée and a California roll as his side along with the salad and rice that normally come with the bento box. I chose to try the yakisoba with chicken, which also came with a side salad. The gyoza came out quickly, lightly fried. They were very tasty, although I found the dipping sauce a bit too vinegary - my husband, on the other hand, loved it. One nice touch was that they also offered both regular and low sodium soy sauce on the table, so I was able to make my own dipping sauce by diluting theirs with more low-sodium soy sauce. Our entrées arrived soon after, and we're beautifully plated. There were four large pieces of fried fish in my husband's bento box and the rice was extra sticky making it easier to eat with chopsticks. Everything was hot and delicious. He said the California roll was great. My yakisoba was full of marinated chicken and many vegetables. It was delicious as was the accompanying salad. Our Schur checked up on us repeatedly and made sure we had anything we needed. She refilled our teas and always asked if we needed more. This restaurant is known for having great sushi, and my husband said that the California bowl was indeed very good, so next time we visit, we will try some sushi! read more
