Came here for 2 years straight but after my car got broken into and i confronted the manager and he basically told us the parking lot owned by sushi axion has no cameras and no responsibility towards it. Asked for camera footage but said camera don't work. Have been twice since and today all of the sudden i was banned for "stealing" asked for a video and video had no evidence of stealing. Then said "cause a scene" so that's why i could be banned. Food was pretty mid anyways and only went for the lychee martinis but the way the owner "Tommy Lee" conducted himself was very unapologetic, inappropriate, and condescending. As someone who owns any hospitality restaurants, you should be aware & main goal to make your customers feel safe and okay with spending their money. I had four rolls this time (only remember two of them), and everything was fresh and flavorful. Their happy hour is great. It's not just sushi -- they've got ramen, appetizers, and all kinds of stuff, which makes it easy to mix things up without spending too much. Service can be hit or miss depending on how busy it is. Sometimes they're really attentive, other times it's just okay. The food usually comes out fast though, and it's always tasty. Let's start off with food quality - pretty great! Everything tasted fresh & came out quickly. Their happy hour is great and last until 7 pm but in sundays they have all day happy hour and their happy hour menu is very extensive as compared to other sushi spots. Drinks were good, environment was even better and they were playing great music! We were both somewhat sick so we ordered the butter corn ramen ($9) with edamame ($3). The ramen was so good at the moment since it was a subtle miso base taste. It was definitely a lot for the price, but it lacked some flavor. I would definitely try another one. The edamame was good! It's really hard to mess that up. However, I also got the beef fried rice, which was flat out disgusting. I will say I am picky with my rice, but this tasted beyond weird. I am so disappointed since it's not super cheap, but I can barely eat it. I am not sure why it tastes the way it does but it is by far the worst tasting rice I have had. very disappointing. We came here for happy hour that goes until 7pm during the week. The restaurant wasn't too crowded and was very spacious. We were seated right away and tried seaweed salad, gyoza, the nigiris, beef satay, hawaiian roll, and axiom roll. The sushi was decent, not the best I've had but the HH prices were really good. The appetizers were good too. Service could be better (our server mixed up/missed one of the items we ordered) but overall we enjoyed it. Will come back to try the ramen too. SUNDAY is the best day to go for their all day happy hour menu! I love bringing people from out of town here. The pacific roll is my favorite on the hh menu. All their appetizers are worth getting. The crab fried rice isn't on the HH menu but still is a must. Try to get reservations online bc it gets pretty busy on the weekends. Although we have been able to get sat without one it's still recommended. Service is always great, staff is friendly. The restaurant is in a lively neighborhood and the inside looks like traditional Japanese restaurant. Only thing is that the parking can be a nightmare. read more

I have given the restaurant a chance, but I am done now. I have been a regular patron for 5 years because I live one block from the restaurant and I like the bar. I have had the Crunchy Salmon Roll at least a dozen times. I know it should not be this dark a color. I gave it a chance, I ate two pieces, but I am very aware that if grease drips from it when I squeeze it, something is not right. If I had eaten that, my entire evening would have been spent on the sofa with an upset stomach! The bartender had the house manager come over. His reply was, "That's the way it's supposed to be." I told him he could go ahead and take it because I wasn't going to eat it. Any other manager would have asked if there was anything else they could replace it with, considering I was clearly unhappy with the order. He simply picked up the plate and took it away. For the record, the bar staff is extremely friendly. I asked them to cash me out and tipped them for the great service. This was my first time here since I'm traveling to Dallas this visit a friend. Overall we'd rate this experience a 7.8/10! The atmosphere was nice and quiet since we can in around 3 which is right in between lunch and the dinner rush. With that being said, we got our food very quickly and the waiter was attentive.
