Really great sushi, but do expect slow service. The night I went a few nights ago, they appeared to be short staffed. The hostess, who I believe doubled as a waitress looked overwhelmed. The manager/owner did his best and basically ran the entire restaurant by himself, and was somehow efficient and friendly. I do recommend this place if you are not in a hurry.

Me and my best friend loved our experience at Hibiki Sushi. The menu had so many rolls it was so hard to choose but we went with the Cowboy Roll, Sex on the Beach, and Toro sushi and every bite was amazing. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The takoyaki was really good too. The rolls were generous and satisfying which doesn't always happen with sushi. The plum wine was delicious and we loved our server but didn't catch her name. She was so kind, quick, and attentive. It's a smaller spot than I expected but the cozy vibe and relaxed atmosphere makes it perfect for casual yet nice dining.

Welp, think I found my new favorite sushi spot in Dallas. This place is epically delicious and no nonsense, no frills! Prices are reasonable and service was outstanding. The kitchen is partially open so I was delighted to see my garlic edamame order being sautéed instead of being steamed or even microwaved. Served piping hot with a delicious punch of garlic flavor. I'm not sure if their takoyaki is made from scratch or not because it came out kinda of fast, but the flavor and texture on it was ethereal. My wife never had takoyaki before and now that's all she wants. The sexy time roll (a fan favorite there) as well as the I love my ass roll are my new two fav rolls and I'll be ordering them every time we come back, which will be plentiful moving forward. We also had the Tito's Sake Bomb and that was super fun too! Please come to Hibiki! Let's keep this hidden gem thriving!

I don't hand out 5 stars..... This was one of the best quality sushi dinners I have had in maybe 3 years and I just went to Aqua in Manhattan. Quality,Presentation and Service top notch! My personal litmus test for a sushi bar that is gonna score 4 or more starts with " do you have yamagobo?" If they say no, it's normally a disappointment. We started with a yes My beer was ice cold and my server was lovely and attentive . Everything was spot on. If you are looking for a treat in an area where most top notch are Omakase and $200 plus, RUN to HIBIKI. You won't be disappointed !

The Mule and Slippery something lol Sorry I forgot the exact name!

We usually go to Deep Sushi for our anniversary starter dinner but decided to venture out of our comfort zone and stopped at Hibiki Sushi instead. GREAT CHOICE! It was a little empty when we got there and got a little nervous lol We think it might have to do with all the construction. Don't let that stop you from trying this place!! The ambience is very cozy and clean. Restrooms are tidy and well kept which is a big plus! They have a nice selection of music playing that isn't too loud so you can chat comfortably with your company. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Now for the food. It's hit or miss for good sushi in the Downtown Dallas area for us. It's hard to find fresh sushi here. This place really impressed us. Their specialty rolls are bursting with flavor. We started with drinks and Cajun Edamame. That edamame was delicious!! The drinks were great! Nice and smooth alcohol beverages. We ordered the BamBam Roll, KISS of Fire, Arizona Roll, and Sexy Time Roll. Our least favorite was the Sexy Time Roll. It wasn't bad but I'll never order it again. The rest? FIRE!! Very fresh and delicious. Every bite was full of flavor. One of the rolls kept falling apart but I'll be honest, I didn't care. Usually it's a turnoff, however, these rolls were so delicious that we did NOT care! :))) The food was just that good! After last night, I'm not sure we'll go to our usual sushi spot in D-Town. We will be back ASAP!! Amazing food!! *MY PHOTOS WONT POST! Will try again later.

Ahi tower was SOOO good. It was about 12$ during their happy hour which was until 7pm on weekdays. We also had a crispy roll and eel roll both for 8 and 9 dollars respectively. Prices during happy hour were really acceptable, the rolls were good but the Ahi tower was amazing. Me and my boyfriend thought the wasabi was a really good quality. Service was quick, entertaining, and kind when I had a mishap with the eel roll our server kindly offered to swap it out! Trendy ambiance as well, definitely look to go here for a good time!

I love the vibe of this place. There are options to sit inside and outside, as well as seating at the bar where you can watch the pros craft the sushi. The sushi is what I expected based on the reviews. I was really pleased with the Shaggy Dog and The Fat Ass Roll. I thought I would feel ashamed to order that roll, similar to how you might feel order a "belt buster" at Dairy Queen, but no, no shame here. The real treat was the sushi nachos. Amazing flavor that I don't think I've had anywhere else. The crispy rice was thin and added a nice texture to the raw fish on top.

Really good sushi at outstanding prices in Deep Ellum? Sign me up! We were deciding between a boat v ordering rolls and other stuff and I would recommend picking your own rolls unless you are basic (and that's ok) and are fine with Philly and Spicy Tuna rolls. The rolls we ordered were rice less so no carbs in case you are counting. Ashley special is exceptional - big slices of salmon wrapped around avocado and crab salad, topped with a shiso leaf. 6 big bites that are packed with flavor! We also enjoyed the Johnny roll (cucumber wrapped around tempura shrimp and crab salad) and the screaming O (very generous portion of sashimi - get the mixed instead of the tuna version to get 3 other types of fish including salmon). Pro-tips: Order the uni sushi - at $10 for 2 gunkan-style sushi each of which holds 3 pieces of sea urchin. The uni tasted fresh and at that price it's a steal! Also order the hamachi collar - $11 for a decent portion of yellowtail, cooked to perfection - great deal! Finish w very shareable scoop(s?) of tempura ice cream (vanilla or green tea flavor) for $5! Jade and the entire team provided excellent service, too! Hibiki has a good HH menu Monday to Friday and we'll definitely be back again!

Restaurant was hot and a lifting on the dirty side. The back are or the restaurant was cooler then the front but smelled like a gross bathroom. We used the high chair for our babes car seat and it was soo sticky and gross. Our waitress was amazing All the rolls 9/10 Seaweed salad 10/10 Miso soup tasted over cooked 3/10

Great rolls and all at a great price! A parking lot is next door or you can park on the street making it easy to get to. Every roll we order was great and we will be making this a regular spot. Food came out quick and the staff is all nice. One of the top sushi restaurants in the area!

Started out a little slow on service but picked up right away. Took a minute to take our order, but once it was in ... deliciousness. Food came out fast and it was super delicious. Everything had great flavor and would definitely come again. Small inside but friendly vibes. Overall fun and great place for sushi.

I've came here twice. The first time during a happy hour and the other time during a regular time. They have an overwhelming amount of sushi dishes. Happy Hour servings are small and just basic. The ginger and soy sauce saved it. Not much flavor going on. During regular hours, their signature sushi dishes are obviously created more carefully. But they were drenched in eel sauce, which overpowered the whole roll. Service was fair, it wasn't busy much during the week. They do have good happy hour choices for rolls and drinks, but don't expect the sushi to be out of this world.

FINALLY an amazing sushi place! My BF took me here in the search of decent sushi, and OMG!! We were both shocked on how amazing this place was. This place did not disappoint one bit! Everything was very tasty, fresh and on point. I want to go back to Texas just for this sushi place! The ambiance was just perfect for dinner, very calm and the service was fast. 10/10 recommend. We wanted to go one more time before flying out that we almost changed our flight back. (They open late on Mondays)

The inside is tiny and there isn't even a proper "waiting" area. I've also tried coming here before, and there was also a long wait. I'm glad I decided to stick it out this time. We ordered the Wagyu sushi, Yakitori, Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, and the Tomato Ramen. The Wagyu sushi is torched right in front of you! The Wagyu was incredibly tender and the sauce was delicious. My only *nitpicky* critique is the rice was ever so slightly too moist, but that didn't stop me from inhaling the sushi. Next, the Yakitori was phenomenal. I've never had such tender chicken in my life. There was a nice layer of delicious sauce coating the skewer. Again, just a really nitpicky feedback I have was that I wish the Yakitori had the tiniest bit more char to it, but nevertheless was an incredible bite, and I'd 100% order again in a heartbeat. Onto the ramen - easily hands down one of the best ramen I've had in DFW. The broth is flavorful, and I love the noodles. I'm not sure if they're handmade from scratch, but they had the perfect thickness and chewiness. I also loved generous the portion of cha shu slices. Most other places only give you 1-2 thin slices, but that was not the case here. The pork was tender. The ajitama was solid too, although I prefer more of a soft-boiled egg. While the meat portion is more generous here, the tonkotsu didn't come with many vegetables. A lot of other ramen places I've been to will have corn, fried garlic, etc as default, but those are all additional cost add-ons here. The ramen was delicious without them though but just something to note. We also got the tomato ramen as it's the chef recommendation. The dish is very creative and the execution was great. Personally, I still prefer traditional ramens but it was certainly a nice culinary creation to try. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would come here again. Just be aware there may be a wait, and because they're so busy, you do have to proactively flag down staff. However, the staff are still really nice despite all the tasks they're juggling at once.
