Came with a friend on a Monday for their happy hour and regular menu. You can park in the adjacent parking garage and bring your ticket to the restaurant for validation. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Jordan (I believe that was his name) and seated promptly - Jordan also happened to be our waiter as well. We walked in around 11:10 and were told we couldn't be seated, yet were also informed that last call for food was at 11:50. When we asked about sitting at the bar, we were told it was for drinks only and that food couldn't be served there. At that point, it was less about the food and more about the experience. The rice was good, however I wasn't told there was a $6 upcharge for fried rice when given the option of white, brown, or fried, which felt a bit steep. The chicken gyoza tasted more frozen than fresh and weren't fully seared. We ate them mostly because of the price and the fact that we were hungry, but I've definitely had better. We first tried the chili garlic edamame, Japanese nachos, and vc rock shrimp tempura appetizers. While all three were good, the edamame and shrimp stood out the most. The seasoning on the edamame was delicious - it's up there with the best edamame I've had. The sashimi was solid, but we didn't order too much due to the price. We also tried the black & yellow and black dragon rolls, and between the two I preferred the black dragon as the flavors went together really well. The service was about average. Our friend is vegetarian and he was given something with meat, which our waitress switched out after he noticed but is just something to be cautious of. Ummmmm, this is a Sushi restaurant, and we all know there is no rice attached to Sashimi. Maybe it's just me. The word Sushi does actually mean Sour Rice. Maybe that's literal here. Maybe every dish has rice? 2. The General Ten Chicken was just okay, and the other guests' entrees & sushi was acceptable. The level of quality in the dishes on the menu do not match the decor, staffing or pricing. I can get decent Sushi from a grocery store. Ten Sushi needs to be great or change the name to TEN Sushi-Inspired Cuisine. Maybe having a few drinks adds to the attraction of this restaurant, but it wasn't that kind of party.
