Upon arrival, we were greeted by Jordan (I believe that was his name) and seated promptly - Jordan also happened to be our waiter as well. The rice was good, however I wasn't told there was a $6 upcharge for fried rice when given the option of white, brown, or fried, which felt a bit steep. We first tried the chili garlic edamame, Japanese nachos, and vc rock shrimp tempura appetizers. While all three were good, the edamame and shrimp stood out the most. The seasoning on the edamame was delicious - it's up there with the best edamame I've had. The sashimi was solid, but we didn't order too much due to the price. We also tried the black & yellow and black dragon rolls, and between the two I preferred the black dragon as the flavors went together really well. The service was about average. Our friend is vegetarian and he was given something with meat, which our waitress switched out after he noticed but is just something to be cautious of. The level of quality in the dishes on the menu do not match the decor, staffing or pricing. I can get decent Sushi from a grocery store.
