This place was pretty good! They have a crazy variety of sushi options from more affordable, low key yet delicious rolls, to more special gourmet ones. Let's you mix and match while not breaking the bank. I got a Conch roll which I've never heard of before, and it was delicious! I also got a caliente roll that used tempura white fish, which is another unique addition that I liked. My photos don't do it service bc I was hungry and ate before I took pictures, but trust me, it was great! Finishing off with tempura ice cream was another great treat. The food was absolutely amazing! Probably some of the best Japanese ive ever had, and ive been to many restaurants. I came to this place because a coworker doesn't stop raving about it. I decided to give it a try and find out what all the rave was about. I went by myself on a Saturday after running errands in the area. As soon as I walked in, the staff was fun and friendly and made me feel at home. I requested the usual sake, edamame and sashimi as a starter and proceeded to scan the menu. I realized why my coworker loved the place so much. Besides, the regular sushi they have specialty rolls that all include cream cheese. Ha! Who doesn't love cream cheese? Personally I prefer the raw stuff so out of all of their specialty rolls, I chose the two without and I must say, I was not disappointed. I had a bet going with one of the waitresses I could finish them both of but I lost. They were still just as delicious later. Almost all the specialty rolls sound the same. Almost all the specialty rolls consist of imitation crab, cream cheese, and tempura shrimp. They do have a large variety of rolls to choose from on their menu. But, they are all too similar. I thought all the ingredients looked and tasted fresh. The size of the rolls were big. Better than I was expecting! The service is pretty good and the prices are affordable. The sushi was fresh, the miso egg drop soup was very tasty and I tried the krab salad for the first time and it did not disappoint me, many of their dishes have avocado in it and that is always a plus for me XD. The service at this place has gone steadily south for a while now. My coworkers and I have to remind ourselves that the service here now is really bad. Today we waited probably 45 minutes for our rolls. The waitress didn't come to let us know that the order was taking longer than usual, w head to ask for an order status. Then, when the food actually came, we all start eating and I found actual plastic inside my roll. Not a little piece either, they actually missed some plastic long enough to be found inside three sushi pieces. HOW DOES ONE MISS THAT?! The manager also acted very nonchalant about the whole thing and asked if I wanted another roll... let that sink in for a minute... Monthly sushi hunt! Searched YELP! of course to navigate the sushi world. Came across the reviews for this place. As many times as I've been in the area, never knew it existed. Upon our arrival we were created and seated in a nice little corner seat. Last half booth on the right. The waitress was super friendly and didn't mind us asking about her pregnancy ( some might consider this to be rude and intrusive). She answered questions about drinks (brought out sake samples) and what was in the food. She even informed us that the kitchen was a little behind. Tried the shrimp shumai steamed which were good and the dipping sauce made them even better. Ordered the vegetable ramen, lobster bomb, lava roll and I can't remember all the delicious and fresh food we ate. They have a Fuji apple sake which is light crisp and was more that enough for the 3 of us. As we ate and enjoyed the line to get in grew and we were happy we got there @7:30ish. Restaurant was empty. Proceeded to wait 40 minutes in an empty restaurant for order! Total time 1 hour. Double advised time. On a Sunday at six. For 4 sushi rolls, a raw fish app and 2 ginger salads. We have been coming to sushi bombs since it opened. We always spread the word to let people know what we thought. Today May 16th 2023 we came to celebrate. We tried ordering our "usual" lychee sake which they haven't had for a while and they didn't have it so instead they offered one which they claimed was the same as one we ordered A few weeks earlier. When the bottle came to us it was a completely different bottle and the server said "its the same just a bigger bottle". Prior to the bottle being delivered we asked if we could at least taste prior to committing to spending $22 on a bottle. They said flat out NO. The server insisted it was the same drink. We opened it and to our disappointment it was a completely different sake. It was absolutely horrible. We sent it back and they never took it off the bill. The manager wasn't there yet. We ordered our food and when it was time to leave, the "manager" came. She was someone who looked very i inexperienced, no more than 19 years old. It was so obvious she didn't have any hospitality skills. She came and said that between her and the other manager they will not remove the sake. Which made us feel that much more disrespected and unappreciated. We explained to her what happened and she was more concerned with getting in her 2 words and "speaking her piece". She was extremely rude and disrespectful. Literally left the table before we finished speaking. Adding to our "amazement" when we got the bill they now charge in addition to the standard food and sales tax a "3.25%" service fee. It WAS our favorite Sushi place but today was last time we go. I'm so glad Miami Lakes is opening other sushi restaurants now that we are severing our long standing loyalty to this place who would rather loose a loyal life customer that drove their family from Davie to have dinner there over a $22 sake bottle. *Yelp won't allow ZERO stars so we has to give 1.* read more

Had a terrible experience Gnats everywhere!! Couldn't eat because they were landing on our waters beers and plates flying around us.. it was awful thinking if they are at our table I could only imagine how the kitchen and preparation area are YUK not a sanitary situation Yuk!! Complained to waitress who was very kind and apologetic she stressed that "they have been trying to clean them out but they keep showing up"MORE YUK!! She added that she told the manager in the back who never came to our table..WHY NOT!? I took plenty of pictures and videos of all the Gnats on the wall next to us and flying around us and landing on our plates and drinks.. finally When our chicken steak and shrimp hibachi came I couldn't eat I'd had enough of whooshing them away gross waitress gave us our bill of $73.44 we tipped paid and left our Hibachi on the table..it doesn't end here for sure, I used my American Express and I will be calling them for my refund.. I have pictures and videos of the Gnats and all the food we DID NOT EAT.. Okay... I went here for the first time, and I was on a first date, so a little nervous.. Everything was fantastic. The service was fantastic, Teresa was hands down the 2nd best part of this date haha she was very personable, accommodating, and made everything that much better. I ran restaurants for 7 years, and am currently in customer service... and she provided such exceptional customer service, that I will ABSOLUTELY come back! Did I mention the food yet? No? I really liked this place! So many nice looking rolls on the menu...how do you choose?! I got the Island Roll and my gf got one of the vegetarian rolls. And we split a veggie fried rice. So good. Especially the rice with that shrimp sauce (although honestly it doesn't even need the sauce!). I can't wait to try it again and try out a new roll. The girl at the front handling all of the take out orders,I believe her name was Valentina, was extremely helpful and had such a great spirit. She was very nice and patient with me as I asked a million questions about the menu. She also seemed to be just as helpful and kind with everyone else who arrived. We found this place late night right before they closed because our original destination was closed ! They took us in even though they were closing in under an hour. Our server what's pastel blue-ish hair and she was very sweet. Not much convo which is good. But she took our whole order repeated it and ensure we got everything we needed. We ordered a large bottle of San Benedicto water. A ramen soup ( the flavor was good but it needed maybe a little more zest or salt) however the size was huge definitely more of an entree size. Then we ordered the salmon tartare with a side of rice and my husband couldn't stop raving about it. I had the roll with fried white fish, cream cheese, avocado, topped with spicy tuna and flakes. YUM huge and the quality was great. Also the vegetable fried rice was very good but very similar to another place I've been to that I won't name . I order from here all the time BUT this was my first time getting the vegetable yakisoba and it was delish! I do wish the portion of noodles was bigger but it does the trick. The gyoza was a bit chewy today but they are normally good. I also recommend the thai donuts from this place. I ordered delivery and it got here within 45 minutes, exactly like they said. People, this isn't 5 star sushi so don't be fooled by whoever is posting that. First, it's non traditional sushi. I found the roll sizes to be larger in quantity than in quality. Service was above average. This restaurant is located in a strip mall that may be a nightmare to park on more popular nights. Found the ginger salad to be so-so in taste with a domination of carrot thrown in there. I think you can seek out higher quality sushi restaurants in this town. if it's a filler up type meal that you want this will do nicely, if you are looking for something more authentic and higher on the quality scale you may want to look elsewhere. read more

The food is delicious and a lot of the plates are shareable. It was my first time here and they did not disappoint. We decided to get the shareable size of steak and shrimp fried rice, it was huge! My boyfriend and I could not finish the whole plate so we took some to go. We asked the server to bring it as an appetizer before the sushi and that's exactly what she did, she gave us ample time to eat it and be ready for our rolls. We ordered the Flaming Dragon Roll and El Cocotazo Roll! They were both delicious but El Cocotazo Roll was our favorite.
