First time and last.. Overpriced sushi for what is served, $15 spider roll lacked the main ingredient and namesake. Got the actual neat in the last 4 pieces of the roll. The Kyuri Roll $16 was an insult to sushi. For these 2 rolls, a Coke and house salad $42, I'd go next door to the steakhouse and get a ribeye steak, side dish and salad for much less and leftover money for a few drinks. I was not impressed, have had better at other nearby establishments. Service was good, but could have been better. When I was asked if everything was good, I said no, spider roll missing the crab and they giggled. Oh well. Maybe for others this is the bomb, but for me its a dud. Sorry. read more

I order from here all the time BUT this was my first time getting the vegetable yakisoba and it was delish! I do wish the portion of noodles was bigger but it does the trick. The gyoza was a bit chewy today but they are normally good. I also recommend the thai donuts from this place. I ordered delivery and it got here within 45 minutes, exactly like they said. People, this isn't 5 star sushi so don't be fooled by whoever is posting that. First, it's non traditional sushi. I found the roll sizes to be larger in quantity than in quality. Service was above average. This restaurant is located in a strip mall that may be a nightmare to park on more popular nights. Found the ginger salad to be so-so in taste with a domination of carrot thrown in there. I think you can seek out higher quality sushi restaurants in this town. if it's a filler up type meal that you want this will do nicely, if you are looking for something more authentic and higher on the quality scale you may want to look elsewhere. read more

The food is delicious and a lot of the plates are shareable. It was my first time here and they did not disappoint. We decided to get the shareable size of steak and shrimp fried rice, it was huge! My boyfriend and I could not finish the whole plate so we took some to go. We asked the server to bring it as an appetizer before the sushi and that's exactly what she did, she gave us ample time to eat it and be ready for our rolls. We ordered the Flaming Dragon Roll and El Cocotazo Roll! They were both delicious but El Cocotazo Roll was our favorite. Just finished lunch here. Kat was an amazing server, courteous, engaging and just overall welcoming. We ordered a huge spread and everything was delicious. Never had to ask for drink refills, they kept them coming. Try the volcano rolls, you won't regret it. Ambiance is great and music selection was perfect. Pink Floyd, queen and sushi? Seems to be very much catered to a certain crowd. It is not traditional sushi. Tons of different rolls but all seemingly with cream cheese and sauces in and on them. It's a bit much, particularly if you are looking for sushi and rolls on the lighter and more traditional side. I had nigiri, rolls, and some appetizers and they were all on the heavier side and very sweet. Also COVID note: small place that's pretty packed in with no temperature checks. If only I could give this place ZERO stars. Not only did my delivery take 1.5 hrs but my sushi was delivered warm and that is a major pet peeve for me when it comes to sushi! Also, not only did they take forever, but my sushi had more rice in it than actual fish. And before you think it was ordered "inside out"; no, it was not. Solid sushi spot. I don't frequent Miami Lakes often, but now there's a reason to go back. This place was packed on a Saturday night, took about an hour to get seated, but I understand why. Everything was fresh and delicious, service was great, and the lycheetinis were refreshing. Interesting smorgasboard of patrons. Country music playing, which was unexpected for a spot in Miami Lakes (or maybe I just don't know the area well). The rolls were ginormous and their menu includes a few local creations like "El Cocotazo" roll and the "El Macho roll". I'm not sure you'll find churrasco in your "sushi" anywhere else. And what sushi spot has fried plantains on their list of side items? Love it here. The tuna tataki was my favorite. read more

At first I wasn't the biggest fan but lately have been ordering more from there and every time I like the sushi rolls even better. The fried rice is great, they have shrimp sauce. This will be one of my go to place for sushi. We had the island roll and it was delicious!it was fresh and had a beautiful presentation. Perhaps a little pricy at $17. We also tried the ramen soup, which was ok and the house soup which was good. My husband had the hibachi steak and he said it was good, portion seemed Small. The fried rice was also good. The food here is very good and a nice new edition to Miami Lakes. The fried rice is a must, and is always extremely tasty. The sushi is really hit or miss, sometimes it is excellent and other times it is good but slightly lacking. I do love the presentation of all the food and the service has always been good. The service however, for take out is extremely slow. I have picked up orders about two or three times and every time I am told the food will be ready in 25-30 minutes to which I arrive about 40 minutes after I am told only to have to wait for another 15 minutes. Last Friday we were celebrating a coworker birthday so we decided to go here for our lunch break which we ONLY have one hour of break. We tried to order before arriving so it wouldn't take so long to service us once we arrived to the restaurant. We were told we couldn't do that that we will have to come into the restaurant and order our foods. We were a big group about ten of this time. The waiter took about 15 minutes just to bring us the water we ordered. Saw she was taking long so I got up and another waitress just standing around not doing anything so I ask her if she could take out order she told me NO that she will call our waitress to come to us. Finally she came with the water and took our order. The food came at 12:50 and we all had to be back to work at 1:00 pm. Before finishing our food I had requested for the bill she took forever to bring that as well. Unfortunately we won't be coming back to this restaurant anytime soon. Don't understand how only one waitress could be taking care of five tables and have three other waitresses just standing around without help see the restaurant was getting busy. We won't be coming here because of the horrible customer service. read more

Located in a big shopping plaza in Miami Lakes, pretty sure it has been open for a little bit of time but, I just tried it for the first time. I stopped for a quick bite after work on a Friday. I ordered the steamed shrimp shumai (they brought it to me fried), but I decided to just eat it like that instead of sending it back. I must say it was really good. Also, the sauce that comes with it is delicious, I ordered a bagel roll most places call this JB roll. The rolls are a good size and is a good portion. I also ordered a few nigiri pieces of Ebi (shrimp), tuna and salmon. I was not impressed with the nigiri only because the rice kept falling apart, it didn't have the consistency I've tried in other places. But nonetheless the food and service were good, and I will definitely be giving them another try. read more

Their fried rice is also very delicious. They have lunch specials which include soup of the house which is very good as well. Once they became a franchise they went to shit.... we all know the whole in the wall joints are the real deal anyway. This is one of very few restaurant reviews I've made, but I feel compelled. This was my first time here. The wait staff was great. I had to return the whitefish (smelled and tasted old/fishy), but the tuna and hamachi were good. The prices were on the higher end. There were little fruit flies constantly around our food, which makes me concerned. We were swiping them away during our meal. More distasteful than that was a 3.25% "administration fee." Our bill was $160, and they charged us for using a credit card?!? That doesn't make sense. I'll be patronizing other places that don't try to steal extra money. read more
