Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really tell that the kitchen pays attention to quality ingredients and careful preparation. The menu had a great variety of options, making it easy for everyone in our group to find something they loved. The service was just as impressive. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Overall, this restaurant delivered a fantastic dining experience. Great food, excellent service, and a lovely atmosphere make it a place I would happily visit again and recommend to others.

We ordered ahead of time, waited for quite some time. My husband drove all the way there, only to arrive home and realize that half our order was missing. Called them to complain, and they are taking off the missing items from our bill. The food we did receive was mediocre at best, honestly Publix does better than what we received tonight. The spicy tuna roll, one of our always staples, was just rice and tuna, no spicy mayo. Total disappointment. Waste of time, energy and money. They don't do delivery and we're certainly not driving back there, but I feel like in instances like this they should make it up to you. It's not about the money. It's about not having the food that you ordered and were excited to receive.

Miso ramen and tonkatsu. Both were amazing. My bf was obsessed with his miso ramen. We also had spicy garlic edamame, a lil too oily but great flavors. Nutella crepe cake for the finisher and it was light and not too overwhelmingly sweet. Very good. Definitely recommend and will be back!

A month ago I wanted to go again and remembered that there was more than one location. Came to find out one closer to me situated across FIU on 107th ave. All of the sudden the 107 in the name made sense. I asked if that location was the 'OG', and they confirmed it was and hence the seemingly random name. Service was good. There's a mix of regular folks and students (both servers and dining), which ensures pricing remains reasonable in order to cater to student budgets. I found pricing to be the same at both locations. I ordered the same Mama Pork Fried rice with an extra of shrimp, and I have to say, it was just as delicious as the Gables restaurant. I went again just yesterday, and food was just as delicious. I can't bring myself to order any other dish because it's so delicious. Dish flavor, look and texture are consistent too, not just within the same restaurant, but at least across those two locations I've visited, and I've attended twice to both locations ordering the same fried rice - it is always 'identically delicious'. I tried my friend's dishes, and they were all good, and while they wouldn't be my choice, they were all yummy. Their dishes tend to be a bit on the gooey side, but I love that, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I found my new favorite Chinese restaurant. The ambience is basic, but definitely a more elevated look than that of your typical Chinese restaurant. I highly recommend

We ended up here on NYE for a quickie bite before heading to Fairchild's Night Garden. The vibe is kitschy and fun and the menu hits the sweet spot for Japonophiles with a curated assortment of faves from takoyaki to tonkotsu and even onigiri. On this night we wanted to keep it light so we started with the Japanese pickles which were a vibrant and crisp mix of veggies. Then a miso soup with fried rolled tofu sheets and lots of fresh green onions. We can never pass up his and hers unagi nigiri, and these were perfection: warm, sweet, and buttery on the tongue. Then it was time for makimono. Sushi in Japan tends to be simpler with a focus on expertly cut fresh fish, but at Umaimon they depart from the classics to play to the American palate with ingredients like cream cheese and mango. Now these are not the most creative offerings you'll find in the 305, but they do offer solid choices done well. He had the Twin Dragon and I couldn't pass on the Sugar Daddy. Now, is this the best Japanese/sushi place you're going to find in Miami? Probably not. But is it the most kawaii? Quite possibly. If you too have fallen in love with Japan but can't afford another plane ticket, Umaimon comes in clutch delivering faves in an unassuming spot.

The Fried Calamari were HUUUGE and meaty and the flying dragon roll was so delicious, just also had a little more cream cheese than we'd prefer. The service was great, the food came out SUPER quick and everything was made hot and fresh and we almost couldn't believe how quickly everything came out. Multiple servers would stop by our table to see if we needed anything and that was great. Service was a 10/10. The ambiance is very heavily Anime Themed (hence the name) so if you're into that kind of thing this place is like heaven for you. Overall had a great time, food was great, service was great. I will definitely be coming back!

And certainly does ramen right. Manga Ninja hero Naruto Uzumaki's absolute favorite food is ramen, specifically the miso-based pork broth ramen from Ichiraku Ramen. His namesake restaurant stays true to his favorite food and does it impeccably. My go to is the Chicken Tonkotsu with add dumplings. I must admit that I have not tried the sushi and do not plan to because the reviews of it are pretty mediocre. But the Ramen is top notch. The bubble teas are delicious. The vibe is just so cool. I really enjoy this restaurant and highly recommend it for what is the clear winner for best Ramen in the area.

The sushi was great and the service was good. It was a Wednesday night and only 3 patrons were in the restaurant. Our waiter was very nice and personable. The layout is pretty much the same as it was back in the day, it brought back great memories. I think there are some things that could be updated. The booth we were in was next to the front windows and it had an opening that insulation coming out of it which was not visually appealing. Other than that, it was a nice dinner at Sushi Ko.

The booths are comfortable, the lighting is soft, and there's no loud music, which I personally love for when you are going to a place to eat, not to party. You can also sit at the bar near the sushi chefs if you're in the mood for something a little more interactive. The sushi itself is good. Not mind-blowing, but fresh and enjoyable. It's the kind of place that's reliable if you're craving sushi and want a laid-back night out. We got the Pork Gyoza, the Rainbow Roll, and the Shoyu Ramen. The service has generally been fine, though our most recent visit felt a little off. Our waiter wasn't rude or anything, he was attentive and got everything right, but he just seemed like he was counting down the minutes until the end of his shift. A little short, not super warm, but still did the job. If you're looking for good sushi without the scene or the loud music, I'd still recommend this spot. It's nothing fancy, but it's consistent and comfortable and sometimes that's exactly what you want.

I will say the sushi roll itself (while not necessarily small) was not all that large/filling, so I would recommend getting something else on the side. I liked that their roll and appetizers had a fun flavor and uniqueness that I haven't seen at other places. But I will say the prices are a little expensive but I guess average for Miami area. I was surprised to find single-use chopsticks over reusable ones. A small detail in an otherwise fairly nice restaurant that did kind of stick out to me. The vibe kind of felt like a mix of a slightly more upscale restaurant, but also kind of minimalist modern if that makes sense? Additionally, our service was a bit slow, with our waiter right over our shoulder asking if we were ready to place our order, no then not being around for the rest of the meal. Maybe it was just an off night though, and the food did come out fairly quickly. Overall I did enjoy my meal here, and I would probably come back eventually when I want something slightly more upscale. But on a day-to-day I would probably go Edward for my sushi fix. Not that the food was bad by any meals. I really enjoyed the fun and different flavor combinations, it's just a little pricy to go to everyday, and in my opinion the main portion sizes don't quite reflect that or have any particular flare to them aside from a colorful/flavorful sauce or topping in them. Recommend a try if you are nearby though to see for yourself.
