From someone who is cautious to eat seafood out in general, this sushi is AMAZING. Generous portions, well balanced, and super fresh. If you're ever catching a show at the Tampa Theatre or nearby, check it out! The owners were super sweet, described the rolls, and followed up after to make sure I was satisfied. They have two little tables set up out front where I sat and enjoyed the beautiful weather and breeze. Will eat again!

I decided to go with 2 rolls for lunch; a basic yellowtail roll, and a spider roll, which comes with fried softshell crab. While I was waiting, the sushi chef provided me with a specialty piece of yellowtail that was amazing! My rolls came out quickly, and they were absolutely perfect. While less pieces than I'm used to, the yellowtail roll was packed with fish. And the soft shell crab was perfectly cooked, plus I love that they provided the deep fried legs, too. Everything I received was beautifully plated on slate dishes, which is always a nice touch. Yes, I do think its more expensive than other sushi places ($4 for a soda, come on?!) but it was really excellent sushi. If I'm ever in the area again (which, honestly, I hope not to be), I would definitely return.

There usually isn't a wait, would recommend calling in ahead just in case. I normally order the shrimp tempura appetizer. Overall, I would say this place is really good and would highly recommend. We definitely will return in the near future.

The staff and owner were very friendly and personable and the food was even better! I ordered the gyoza (this is fried and the filling is an in-house recipe pork filling, might be different from your regular gyoza but still yummy and worth trying), and had the Nigiri Flight which was amazing! I'll let the picture speak for itself, but you need to come in and try it for yourself. The fish was fresh and each one was better than the other. I even loved the tamago (which they prepare in house) and I normally am not a fan of it. All the nigiri were well sized and super filling, I could have done without the dumplings and the salad, and still would have been more than satisfied. The place is also very well decorated and styled, I truly think they hit all the points with food, service, and ambience. You can tell the owner puts his heart and soul into this place and it shows in the food and your time there. It was a very pleasant experience and I am so happy to have found Isekai!

I was excited by the great reviews on Yelp -- and was so happy that this place lived up to the hype! The fish was excellent -- fresh, well cut, super tasty. The toro was rich and delicious, the salmon and snapper fresh and pure, and as noted by others, the seasoned sushi rice with the accoutrements in the bowl (seaweed salad, thinly sliced pickled radish and carrot, and masago) made for an elevated lunch. I really appreciated the flexibility and options around my celiac disease (sushi can be tough because of the wheat in most soy sauce) -- including the kind note they attached saying the subbed some extra toro and masago for the Iburi which had been marinated in soy sauce. Lastly, I usually much prefer to eat-in for sushi (a sushi bar is my 2nd home), but really appreciate the details they put into the Uber Eats takeout package -- dressed it nice with shiso leaf and shaved radish AND have it all placed on little ice packs to keep the fish cold on their commute from the Chef's Knife to my belly. Great experience overall.

The food came out surprisingly fast for a larger group, and everything was fresh and really well done. The gyoza was outstanding -- honestly gave me flashbacks to Tokyo in the best possible way. If you've ever wandered around Japan hunting for late-night comfort food, you know exactly what I mean. The ramen was good, but definitely a little more "American remix" than traditional Tokyo or Okinawa style. A few extra toppings felt that were add because some one "didn't get enough for the cost". Also, the spicy ramen wasn't not spicy at all -- but still flavorful and enjoyable. The restaurant itself was spotless, and the decor was incredible. Great atmosphere without trying too hard. Overall, a really great experience, and we'll definitely be back.

Service was exceptional, actually ever helpful since the menu is huge and it's hard to know what to order, waiter was showing us pictures of the dishes. I did find the menu to be way too large and overwhelming. I would prefer to have it smaller. It took us awhile to figure out what to order. The vibe is very similar to the "meat market", pretty loud, old men on a gear with super young women drinking. We were seated far away in the corner and we were happy about that. They had non alcoholic cocktails, but server told us that they all super sweet and he recommended virgin mojito. Which was very good. We ordered miso cauliflower, which was great, and the portion was pretty decent. Crispy rice spicy tuna was amazing, we loved it. We also had salmon tartare and island maki sushi. Everything was exceptional. We got recommended to get a cheesecake and my husband loved it but I didn't like it at all. I was expecting more Asian style but it was super American overly sweet cheesecake. I don't like very sweet food, so it wasn't my thing. But they did have hot tea which was great to end the dinner with.

For food, we ordered enough to share with the table. We went with a Midori Roll, Lobster wagyu, Crispy Rice, Hamachi Sashimi, Toro Sashimi, Crab Noodle, Panang Beef Short Rib, and a Yellowtail Jalapeño. Everything we ordered was pretty damn delicious. The only thing I can pick on is that the crispy rice wasn't as crispy as it should have been and most likely sat at the cooks station for a while before making it to our table. The people at my table usually order this and said that this was a one off. Overall, this is a great place for dinner. I'd love to come try it out for lunch one day if provided. If not, I'll be back regardless.

This is grilled marinated Ny sirloin strip served with Laotian sticky rice, pickled daikon and carrots. 10/10. The meat was so exceptionally tender, even reheated the next day. I loved the sticky rice. My youngest son loved it too, so it was a huge winner. 2. Crispy Volcano Chicken. I really enjoyed this as well. It has the outside that reminds me of orange chicken. 3. Green Papaya Salad. I'm a huge papaya salad fan and this one really hit the spot. I'm the only one in my family who eats it, but I feel healthy when I do and it's delicious. 4. Fried chicken wings - they were plump and the entire family enjoyed this. The two dishes that were good, but I'd skip next time are the chicken satay (this sat around in our fridge for a while) and the black dragon roll which was good, but I think their non sushi dishes really shine. It said the food would be ready in 30 minutes (we ordered online) and when we picked up about 30 minutes later it was ready. It's super easy to park since it's a large parking lot and run in and out. I will definitely be getting more takeout from here for my family.

The kitchen cuts it into sections assuring each piece has that incredible crispy skin on it. The duck comes with thin pancakes, 3 dipping sauces and pickled vegetables to create tasty little bites. Also included was delicious fried rice. We polished off 2/3 of the duck. I wish the duck had spent more time roasting to render more of the fat layer under the skin. In some places it was 3/8 of an inch thick. We enjoyed our ice cream cup dessert.

Appetizer was almost cold by the time it got to our table. The drinks took forever to come out, and I ordered the same thing both times; the first was fine (different looking and tasting from all the times I've had it before), and the second was undrinkable. I tried to flag down the waiter for a replacement, but at that point we had already paid and the hassle of waiting 20 more minutes for a drink that might be bad wasn't even worth waiting for the waiter to come back (which he didn't, even though he had walked past twice and not looked in our direction). Really disappointed after having a great experience every time in the past. Sushi did taste as great as always, it was just overshadowed by the nasty drink and slow service.
