Went to Sushi Club again this week for lunch prior to Big Ten Trny. Good service and good food again (with pics this time).

It was Valentine's Day and we were not in the mood to get all dressed up fancy for a romantic dinner. So instead we threw around the idea of sushi and we didn't have to drive far to have all-you-can-eat! This used to be a great place when it opened years ago! We were a little more stout back in the day and the all you can eat was a winning deal for us! The wife of the couple who owned the restaurant then, used to give my husband the evil eye when we walked in. I think they operated on a deficit on our bill many times back then! I think the owners have changed since. And we changed as well dropping a few pounds. But do you think his sushi appetite changed?? NO! We thought it was a great choice to go there, since we walked in with no reservation, it wasn't crowded at all, and we were seated promptly. We were pretty pleased with our decision. We thoughtfully selected our first pieces of sushi--a mix of sashimi, rolls, soup along with wine and hot sake--a must in my book! If you have ever been here, you would know they have a rule that you can't leave anything more than 7 pieces of sushi on your plate--they charge you for it!! So we were careful to only order what we could eat. It took about 20 minutes to receive our first order, which was fine. We weren't in a rush. People were beginning to arrive and slowly tables were getting filled. There was only one woman, which was the owner waiting tables. When the food finally arrived, we ate. I had been excited to have the raw salmon, which is usually mild in flavor and sweet. I was a bit disappointed when it lacked any flavor at all. I mean it wasn't awful. But I had better sushi at Fresh Thyme. After we inhaled the first plate, our server never brought the menu back so we could order more. It took another 10-15 minutes for her to return. When she finally did, we marked more goodies, still erring on the edge of caution not to get too much. It took another 10 minutes for her to swing by to pick it up. By then it was blatantly obvious she avoided our table. I think she was hoping we would leave. But at $27 a head--we weren't doing it. The restaurant was full, she was the lone wait staff. People sat for a long time 1/2-1hr waiting to be served. Some helped themselves getting their own plates and silverware, some got mad and left. She was completely overwhelmed as food was slowly prepared. We heard her yell at the itamae ( sushi chef) a couple of times. Then a group of no less than 10 men came in the door and she turned them away. When we finally reached satisfaction with the meal, we went to the counter to pay. She apologized for not waiting on us properly. She said they barely did any business on Valentines Day the previous year. We tipped her well and left. We felt it was ok food, not great. I can wait another 2 years to return.

Do not be thrown off by the look of this building. Seriously park, go in, and do not panic. While the exterior and interior is rough, the food is not! We opted for the all you can eat option for $26.99 per person. This includes soup, salads, crab ragoon, speciality rolls, etc. food was delicious. Best place I have found on the west side. The inside was hot and stuffy, but food tasted fresh. Miso soup was incredible. Ginger dressing on the salad incredible. One working bathroom that looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a while, not so much. But I digress focus on the food. Initially we were the only ones in the restaurant. Surprised to have waited a while for drinks but about 20 mins in the place filled out and more wait staff came. Will definitely be back for the food, great variety and taste!

Tried a special banana roll and it was pretty tasty!

Great hole in the wall restaurant and the all you can eat for $28 on a Friday night is a great option!

I thought I had reviewed this I can't believe I didn't . Ok let's start at the beginning . We were greeted and seated promptly. No one was at the counter but in less than a minute we were noticed and taken care of . The way this place works is you are given a piece of paper on which you mark off your order which is then prepared fresh . My favorite type of all you can eat sushi which loses its freshness quickly . Well in other places like this they give you one sheet so if you want to reorder you need to ask for another sheet . Here they give you three making the whole process quicker . We order on separate sheets and rarely need another ( my husband is deathly allergic to shell fish) that's another plus they are so clean he's never had a reaction even when I order shrimp or crab . I wish I could say that about all restaurants . Now to the food . Yum. I always get the Kani salad which is now my favorite food on the planet . My husband always gets the pepper tuna app which is very good but no kani salad . I love sashimi but I can't eat 7 pieces and I really prefer just the tuna and salmon .here I can get just what I want without having to eat more than I want or need . That another plus for me I like little portions so I can have a bit of this a bit of that and the portions are small . However of course you can order as many as you want and the special rolls aren't small at all . I suggest you start small , I've seen people order so much that I know they aren't ever going to get through it all . The menu says they will charge you a dollar a piece for what you leave I have no idea if they do . Recommended highly Miso Kani Teriyaki chicken Fried rice with their special sauce Their self named special roll with the chefs sauce Pepper tuna app

They are definitely paying attention to the past negative reviews and trying to make a difference. the staff was friendly and very attentive (greetings at the door, made recommendations, filled and refilled water cups, even offered the kids ice cream). The wait time for food items was no more than 20 to 30 minutes and the taste of the food excellent, the only drawback was a miscommunication on the food order. I would still go back and definitely recommend.

Famous for the "all you can eat sushi" menu, this sushi hub on the east side has a surprisingly high volume of Yelp reviews. We walked in and were sat right away. You can choose to order individual rolls/soups/salads/entrees off the regular menu, or do the unlimited menu that allows you to pay $20, then eat "until you're happy." There's no buffet, just an unlimited amount of rolls. The one catch? If you over-order and can't eat everything you got, you'll be charged about 50 cents per roll you don't finish (probably a good business practice so food isn't wasted or people aren't stocking up to-go boxes). Feeling less-than-ambitious, we ordered a handful of rolls off the regular menu. I chose the California roll and shrimp avocado roll, while my friend chose the spicy crab roll and 10th Street roll (one of their specialty rolls with smoked salmon). All of them appeared to be fresh and it was a nice presentation. The specialty rolls are more expensive, but also were much larger and more elaborate. You also have the option to add cream cheese or avocado to any of your rolls for an extra cost. Our server was super speedy and we could've ordered, eaten, paid and left in thirty minutes if we'd wanted to. The atmosphere was a little dismal, but the service and food felt authentic. Try it for yourself!

Great selection of fresh and delicious sushi! 10/10 would recommend, we will most definitely be back

I asked if they had prosecco or a small champagne spit. Since he was new he didn't know, he calls the manager & no. Ok - no problem, I'll take a Merlot & my husband a Cabernet. Drinks didn't come so we asked again, he returned stating they didn't have Merlot. So we said- ok 2 Cabernets & he brought 2 Chardonnay's. He apologized & brought the Cabs. Our appetizers were good, so we ordered dinner. My husband's dinner came 10 minutes or more before mine & I had to ask for our soup and salads. We just kinda laughed it off. Also, There was a young lady who kept bringing others food to our table? It was a pleasant surprise that when we got the bill, he did not charge us for the wine, but were told they don't take American Express. To top it off I left my to go box there I would get carry out, however won't dine in again.

The fish was so fresh, and you could genuinely taste the nori, which makes a huge difference. We branched out and tried the Kumamoto oysters too. Worth it. They're tinier than your typical oyster and came with a range of flavors from the seasonings and sauces. Honestly, we wish they'd been served more simply because we wanted to compare them to the ones we've had in Japan, and all the sauce made that tough. Still a fun order though. Skip the Seafood Pot, in our opinion. It tasted like Bird's Nest to us and just wasn't anything special compared to everything else. Bottom line: come for the sushi. It's the standout, and it's what'll bring us back. With ramen, hibachi, bubble tea, and a full bar also on the menu, there's plenty to explore on a return visit.

All of my loved ones were there to celebrate my birthday, and paired with such amazing food it made it a magical night. It was a Tuesday night and was fairly busy, but we passed any downtime chatting with each other and sipping on cocktails. The owner, Nara, is SO kind, sweet, gracious, I could go on and on. You can tell she really loves her job and running a business. The staff were so attentive for such a large party and made sure we always had fresh cocktails, water refills, and empty plates were removed promptly. We had vegetarians, peanut allergies, and picky eaters, but they accommodated everyone. I think my husband and I ended up splitting 5 sushi rolls total (still dreaming of them) and the table pretty much split multiple appetizers across the board. Everyone loved their cocktails, appetizers, and entrees. When I thanked Nara for such an amazing dinner and let her know it was my first time dining there and that it was my birthday she brought out a round of lychee sake shots for the table and started playing a happy birthday song throughout the restaurant. Literally almost cried because it was so sweet and thoughtful. The sake was crazy delicious and a hit for the whole table. The only *minor* downside was that each cocktail was made individually by what seemed to be just one bartender, so it took some time for drinks to come out. Again, otherwise a perfect meal, but keep that in mind and be patient for drinks to come out! My husband and I's favorite sushi haunt has always been Mori Sushi before now, but now I cannot wait to come back to Hasuno for more amazing appetizers and sushi rolls!!! They have a small parking lot that fills up fast, but there is always lots of street parking in fountain square. Let's start with price- yes it's a little pricey. But I understand they are making up for the cost of the downtown location. Definitely a place to go on special occasions if your budget is not set up to splurge here. Would love to see a happy hour menu here so more people can try the food. Next is the quality of the food, which IMO, justifies the price. "Less is more" is so important when it comes to sushi rice. I love being able to get sushi and not feel so full because the minimally necessary amount of rice was used and doesn't leave you full after one roll. All of the special rolls we liked in the following order. 1) Bonfire 2) Orange Blossom 3) Cherry Blossom 4) Trish 5) Emperor 6)Thursday The miso soup was perfect and priced at $3. The drinks and gyoza were good too, but not too special. I would definitely save my appetizer/beverage $ for the rolls. We ordered smoked salmon, hamachi, and scallop sashimi. Scallop was our favorite for the sashimi, but all were amazing. The star (and priciest) of our dinner we did not capture, but it was the Maduro Nigiri. The quality was very good and fatty, I thought it tasted like Hara-naka. Service was great. No wait. 10 out of 10 recommend.

The stop 11 roll was all gone before I could snap a picture, but there are pictures uploaded by other users. Note: I do substitute soy wrapper instead of seaweed and I add cream cheese to the tomago and sweet potato rolls. It's $2 extra but well worth it. As far as pricing goes, when you order DoorDash there is a slight up-charge, but it's still fair pricing. We got three rolls for $40 with tip and service fees. Three people ate, so overall not a bad deal. If you want to dine in, they do offer AYCE made to order appetizers and sushi.
