I'm going to start by saying Parking is craaaaazy here. Very small lot, good luck going on a Friday night or lunchtime if you're driving. With the nearby hospital etc, it's ridiculous. To me, sushi boss is the burger king of sushi. You can "Have it your way" they do have a set menu with changing featured items. Ordering is set up like an assembly line where you can go down and add or omit items to your rolls. I tried "The one roll" which i opted out of the sesame seeds. I also had the "Crab rangoon" roll which I left off the fried onion and added crunchy. Both where flavorful. The imitation crab meat was very apparent it wasn't real crab meat lol I had to take some off. The texture of the crab meat was just to weird for me. I appreciate you can get a sushi bowl, which is just that. All your sushi ingredients in a bowl/ salad form. Staff was very good, friendly, and patient. Even though this spot in my opinion is a fast-food type of establishment. The decor tries to give you a more upscale sit down sushi spot but not quite. read more

I don't pretend to be a sushi aficionado, by any means, but I have been swamped at work and was in the mood today. I decided to Door Dash from Sushi Boss downtown. Now, most of the time when I order sushi, the rolls are incredibly tiny, about 5-6 little pieces, so I usually order 2-3 rolls not thinking anything about it. I ordered the Spicy Crab Rangoon roll, the Rainbow Roll and the Surf and Turf roll. Let me tell you...I was NOT prepared. The driver handed me the bag and for a second I thought he gave me the wrong order because the bag easily weighed over a pound. I opened the bag and laughed for a full minute before I paraded these monsters around the office: "LOOK AT IT...will you just look at it!" Whoever is out there making these beastly rolls, you are the real MVP. I was only able to eat the equivalent of 3/4 of one, but I have lunch for the next few days. The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that I didn't see anything with real crab on the menu. That said, the taste and insane portion sizes more than made up for it. Got some through Uber Eats so not too sure about the ambience at all. Really just went for this place cos I knew it was the closest and I was starving from not eating the whole day. But the rice was not seasoned at all. And if it was, it completely missed the mark. I've had a very similar bowl at a similar type chain in San Diego (read: coastal town) and the quality of the fish here was 100x better. No grizzly, fatty pieces. Melt in your mouth fish. This is a really nice little sushi establishment. We needed a quick bite before going to the ballet. I have lots of dietary restrictions, and the manager helped me with all my questions, so I made the right choices. You get plenty of food. I got "that 1 roll" but had to leave the crab salad off. If I had left that on, I would not have been able to finish my meal! It was named appropriately because it had so much in it. I like the short rib beef, yes in a sushi roll! The cucumber salad was tasty. Tangy and swèet but a little too sweet for me. However you might need that to cool your mouth depending on what sauce you get. They gave me about 5 different saces to try. The manager wrote the name of each one on a receipt paper and placed it under each sauce! Hiw nice is that?! The creamy Wasabi sauce burned my mouth and brought tears to my eyes. But what do u expect from wasabi right? I found a sweet sauce and mixed a little Wasabi in it added some soy sauce and badabing! I knocked off a star because almost every single surface had trash or crumbs on it -- the floor, the tables, the parking lot (which was what my view was of). The employees never moved from behind the counter and really think it'd make a big impact if they were actively cleaning the dining room between customers.
