My friends and I eat at Sushi Den at least once a month. It is a perfect place to go with a group since they have AMAZING food and a wide menu where anyone would be able to find something that they like. I usually always get a sushi roll (have not had one that I do not like). But, I have also had the gyoza, fried rice, and crab rangoons which I would ALL recommend. I have been to Japan, and I still like the food here! Some of the best Asian food in Indy

When the area around the convention was busy AF with 20+ party in line everywhere - you walk about 15 minutes away and can escape the crowd. A diverse menu with a lot of innovative items. Really enjoy the complimentary pickles. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also really like the decoration of the spot - nice modern vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was good they checked on us multiple times and was quick to bring out food. Oysters- fresh, big, fatty. Great price. Ocean roll - that uni is pretty strong, and the roll as the whole was really balanced. Like the orange slices on the side. Nigiri combo was a good deal and fresh. My partner got a dinner combo. A lot of food but wish the combo let you pick more choices instead of a preset. Overall would recommend.

Sushi Den has a very kind staff that excels with their service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself gives a sleek and modern vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very clean![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The sushi was good. I got the Pacers Roll. I've had better quality sushi for the price, but it will do the trick if you're near by. I wasn't overly impressed, I most likely won't go back due to the higher price compared to other spots I've tried. I expected a little bit more for the price.

This place was nice! We ordered 3 different sushi roll and an order of pork dumplings they were all very good. Service was great! Would dine here again !

Post tournament dinner! Highest rated Japanese restaurant in Downtown Indianapolis. Located next to the Indiana Pacers arena, delicious Japanese cuisine. Teishoku and sushi! Sashimi box, featuring 9 different cuts of seafood delicacies. Raw oysters on the half shell. Dinner item comes with miso soup and salad! I was pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary dessert! Strawberry mochi ice cream, which was cut into quarters and topped with whipped cream and chocolate!

Flew to Indy to drop our son off at college - his last meal with us was sushi - not bad considering our distance from the ocean - yes, I've heard of planes - we liked the plain nigiri and spicy scallop hand roll - the specialty rolls were kind of fun - the uni was not good, like, at all. I love uni. What is this? Regardless, this place is a solid choice for when we visit our son in Indy from SF Bay Area. God, I miss him so much. We ordered more but son wouldn't want his face plastered on Yelp...

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is a 10/10![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Hot Hot roll was pretty good and came out super quick. The Hibachi chicken was well seasoned, a good portion, and the veggies were cooked perfectly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The prices are affordable and the vibe is so cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Its a beautiful and calming space offering a nice little refuge from the hustle and bustle of downtown.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I loved that the cocktail menu featured pictures. Something all restaurants should do. Ordered a Sunrise 8 which is similar to an Aperol Spritz. It was one of the best cocktails I have had in a while. Perfect for a hot, Summer day. I ordered a Salmon and Mango Sushi Roll. Very nice presentation and overall a really good roll.

    Modern ambience and delicious rolls!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is modern upscale casual.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Had reservations for Saturday 5pm, a few hours before Billy Joel & Sting concert. Glad we had reservations as the restaurant quickly filled up as we had our dinner. Sushi quality excellent, fresh and innovative combinations. Very fast and friendly service. Would definitely recommend and would return in future.

We've been here a few times and have loved each experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First, the decor is unbelievably cute with all kinds of plants and flowers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But the food is excellent- the sushi is fresh and soft like butter. We also had the crab rangoon, spring rolls, fried rice with chicken and the hot hot roll. Out server was also very sweet and on top of it. A+ Highly recommend this place!

I made a lunch reservation for 8 to celebrate graduation with family. Overall, we had a great experience. The waiters were all very friendly and attentive. We ordered a few appetizers and a sushi boat (beware the calamari is shaped like rings and is only 5-6 pieces) It tasted good but the portion was small for a large party. Love the ambiance and decor of this restaurant. It's very pretty inside and super clean which I appreciated. The sushi was pretty good. I have not had much luck finding good sushi in Indy, but this place did not disappoint. I enjoyed the sashimi and the sushi rolls were very unique and flavorful. I personally loved the roll with mango! I would recommend this spot for a date night or a lunch with friends/family.

THIS PLACE MAKES ME SO HAPPY! Let's start with ambiance - it's bright and clean and the seating and is spaced out well and the chairs are beautiful. The menu is fantastic! I used to live in Japan and appreciate Japanese restaurants in the US that have a wider array of options - especially for appetizers and this place did! I brought a friend who did not tell me in advance that he didn't like sushi lol but he seemed to enjoy what he got - and I was ecstatic. It has been a long time since I've had high quality sushi and the cuts of sashimi were perfect! I wanted more but need to go back solo or with a sashimi lover They have a lot of great set options and next time I want to try their set sashimi option where the chef pics out I think ten cuts of sashimi? I could be wrong. Anyway - go find out for yourself because you can't go wrong. We got the Maki B set which had tuna, salmon, and shrimp tempura rolls. We also got the Tamago sushi and the red snapper sashimi. Our server (I think her name was Cecilia?) was awesome! Attentive but gave us plenty of time and space to figure out what we wanted. She gave some great suggestions as well. The food was great. Super tasty and I'm still craving it a day later! If I hadn't already had a cocktail or two beforehand I definitely would've gotten a drink. Their drink menu had a lot of options! They also gave us a complimentary mochi ice cream which was SO KIND. This is going to be my new favorite sushi spot in town for sure.

They sell just about everything imaginable for Japanese cooking, including sashimi grade fish. I also saw Japanese beers and liquors. Meals made to order start at 11:00 am. They make sushi, noodle and rice dishes. We picked up several bento style boxes to share. There are a number of cafe tables inside and outside to eat after you purchase your food. We ate inside. There is a convenient microwave to warm-up prepackaged cold foods. The gyoza were filled with pork and bits of cabbage. The gyoza disappeared quickly. Emi ten Tomagoto ji pre (shrimp tempura over rice) was our favorite dish. The rice was cooked with eggs and onion and just delicious. The shrimp were perfectly cooked. I would definitely order this again. The spicy bomb inari was filled with strips of meat and a spicy sauce. The only complain was that the wrapper was soggy from sitting in the deli case. I can't wait to back to try a udon bowl. The food is fresh and delicious. There is plenty of parking in their share lot.

The fish was so fresh, and you could genuinely taste the nori, which makes a huge difference. We branched out and tried the Kumamoto oysters too. Worth it. They're tinier than your typical oyster and came with a range of flavors from the seasonings and sauces. Honestly, we wish they'd been served more simply because we wanted to compare them to the ones we've had in Japan, and all the sauce made that tough. Still a fun order though. Skip the Seafood Pot, in our opinion. It tasted like Bird's Nest to us and just wasn't anything special compared to everything else. Bottom line: come for the sushi. It's the standout, and it's what'll bring us back. With ramen, hibachi, bubble tea, and a full bar also on the menu, there's plenty to explore on a return visit.

I loved how many good option were on the menu - but that there wasn't an overwhelming amount of things on the menu. To me that means you do certain things well!! I had the kimchi ramen, and everyone else had the spicy ramen. We shared the chili garlic edamame and pan fried dumplings. The chili garlic edamame was SO GOOD and garlicky!! Both of us landed on 1/5. Here's what we ordered: the Mega Bowl Ramen (Chashu & Shrimp) combo with Thai Tea and a Pork Bun, the Fried Squid Tentacle, and the Pork Belly Kamameshi. The ramen was salty and just didn't taste good, which was a real letdown given the crowd. The noodles came out firmer than what we're used to at places in Texas and Japan, and the chashu was the single best part of the whole bowl. The Thai Tea was a complete miss--it looked good but was overwhelmingly milky, like 85% milk, which isn't what Thai tea typically tastes like. The Pork Bun was drowning in sauce and overwhelming to eat. The Fried Squid Tentacle was the highlight of the meal, though it's comparable to what you'd find elsewhere. The Pork Belly Kamameshi was the worst item by far with a tiny amount of rice with a huge amount of sauce piled on top. We got through only about a fifth of the pan because it was too intense and far too little rice. To be fair, this spot gets a lot of love online for its broth and its novelty robot server (can be found in a lot of Japanese restaurants) so tastes clearly vary. But for the two of us, the meal was salty, oversauced, and unbalanced, and we wouldn't come back. 1/5.

All of my loved ones were there to celebrate my birthday, and paired with such amazing food it made it a magical night. It was a Tuesday night and was fairly busy, but we passed any downtime chatting with each other and sipping on cocktails. The owner, Nara, is SO kind, sweet, gracious, I could go on and on. You can tell she really loves her job and running a business. The staff were so attentive for such a large party and made sure we always had fresh cocktails, water refills, and empty plates were removed promptly. We had vegetarians, peanut allergies, and picky eaters, but they accommodated everyone. I think my husband and I ended up splitting 5 sushi rolls total (still dreaming of them) and the table pretty much split multiple appetizers across the board. Everyone loved their cocktails, appetizers, and entrees. When I thanked Nara for such an amazing dinner and let her know it was my first time dining there and that it was my birthday she brought out a round of lychee sake shots for the table and started playing a happy birthday song throughout the restaurant. Literally almost cried because it was so sweet and thoughtful. The sake was crazy delicious and a hit for the whole table. The only *minor* downside was that each cocktail was made individually by what seemed to be just one bartender, so it took some time for drinks to come out. Again, otherwise a perfect meal, but keep that in mind and be patient for drinks to come out! My husband and I's favorite sushi haunt has always been Mori Sushi before now, but now I cannot wait to come back to Hasuno for more amazing appetizers and sushi rolls!!! They have a small parking lot that fills up fast, but there is always lots of street parking in fountain square. Let's start with price- yes it's a little pricey. But I understand they are making up for the cost of the downtown location. Definitely a place to go on special occasions if your budget is not set up to splurge here. Would love to see a happy hour menu here so more people can try the food. Next is the quality of the food, which IMO, justifies the price. "Less is more" is so important when it comes to sushi rice. I love being able to get sushi and not feel so full because the minimally necessary amount of rice was used and doesn't leave you full after one roll. All of the special rolls we liked in the following order. 1) Bonfire 2) Orange Blossom 3) Cherry Blossom 4) Trish 5) Emperor 6)Thursday The miso soup was perfect and priced at $3. The drinks and gyoza were good too, but not too special. I would definitely save my appetizer/beverage $ for the rolls. We ordered smoked salmon, hamachi, and scallop sashimi. Scallop was our favorite for the sashimi, but all were amazing. The star (and priciest) of our dinner we did not capture, but it was the Maduro Nigiri. The quality was very good and fatty, I thought it tasted like Hara-naka. Service was great. No wait. 10 out of 10 recommend.
