Great place all around! Funny enough, the first thing I want to tell you about is the bathrooms. Restaurant bathrooms can be hit or miss. They are a HIT here. Spotlessly clean with lovely decor. As good as the food was, what I remember was being so pleasantly surprised at the quality bathroom. We dined in, but they have a hopping carry out business. We saw a lot of people picking up food when we were there. I had hibachi and my daughter ordered sushi. I appreciated that they came out at roughly the same time so one of us wasn't waiting on the other. The sushi was a beautiful presentation and tasted fresh. Wow! This was our first visit to Isuka and it was incredible. Egg rolls to tempura vegetables and then a few rolls, all were so delicious. "Hibachi express" has become my thing recently and I am glad to have found this place which is on my way home from work. They have a parking lot in the back of the building and it was easy to park. With tip it was less than $50 out the door. With today's prices and eating dinner in large city. Price was very reasonable and portion sizes were generous. Surprisingly my kids turned me on to this spot. They had door dashed frequently from here and when asked what they wanted for lunch they suggested here. I can say it does not disappoint! When we arrived we were seated immediately as the place was not too crowded at all. They left us some menus, took our drink orders and said they would be back. It being my first time I had to read through the entire menu but my girls were ready to order. I was happy to discover I could substitute the meat of my choice in the sushi but their is a particular sushi with spicy salmon that is cooked......you HAVE to try it!!! It's amazing!!! Even my youngest who always frowned up at sushi enjoyed their salmon sushi and is now a fan. We all got hibachi orders with chicken and the food came out within 20 minutes. My girls enjoyed their soda which you do need to pay attention because you need the top to open it, otherwise you are screwed. Parking is not the best, I'll be honest it actually sucks. There is limited parking behind the building and although there appears to be ample parking in the connecting parking lot, I technically think it is some sort of resident parking. The staff as very helpful and attentive and paid attention to make sure our girls at least received their different portions of food first so as not to be "hungry". With the hibachi you do get your choice of soup or salad, I typically get the soup which was pretty good. We were there on an Sunday afternoon so it wasn't terribly crowded although they do have seating on both sides of the building. You could tell they get tons of online orders too as there was a constant flow of people coming to grab orders. This has now become our new quick hibachi spot when we are craving the style of food and need it quick. This is a cute place on 16th. I went with some friends after work. They weren't too busy but the restaurant was clean and cutely decorated. I loved the fried rice it was full of flavor. My friend had the filet minion fried rice. I tried that and it was HEAVENLY! I should have got that! My sushi was the dynamite roll... honestly it was too messy for me. Express is right! We needed a quick place to eat before a show at a local theater, but really don't eat fast food. A google search showed Isuka. We decided to risk it--and it paid off! The staff were extremely attentive, but not annoyingly so. The tables had a mix if benches and chairs which was great for our kids. It was a quiet, laid back atmosphere which was the opposite of how fast we got our food (which was delicious!). We ordered shrimp shumai for the table and I ordered one of the specials which was yaki udon with shrimp. It was so flavorful and delicious. The noodles were perfectly sauced. They were located in the Picadilly building with convenient parking in the rear. We were greeted upon arrival by two friendly employees and allowed to choose our own seats. We didn't have a reservation but on this particular night it wasn't needed. After advice from our server and a nearby patron we decided on an Indy roll, a 16th street roll, and a crazy salmon roll. They were all delicious and large enough to feed three hungry diners. We hadn't planned to get dessert but were advised that their tempura cheesecake was amazing and it was. I have been waiting for this spot to open up, I mean there aren't many Hibachi/Sushi places open downtown. While it is located on a pretty busy intersection there is free parking which is always a plus you will need to enter on the side to get in the lot. When you come in it feels a little hollow, not quite that warm and cozy feel quite yet. Feels very airy and like a building where they added some tables and called it a day. They haven't been open long so I'm sure they will be updating and playing around to try and get the kind of vibe they are looking for but right now there isn't really one. Their menu is a typical Hibachi style menu and they have lots of sushi choices. The food came out hot and was just okay. Not amazing and not terrible just okay. I ordered the red snapper and it lacked seasoning but to someone else it would probably be just fine. They give you pretty large portions and it is priced vey well, especially considering they are downtown. What a fantastic jewel to have in the area. I have been awaiting the arrival of this restaurant since I drove past one day. Today was the day! Unfortunately, I was not feeling well enough to leave and ordered takeout. I ordered during lunchtime, so my good was even more affordable. We ordered three hibachi meals; two were two meat entrees, and we had an order of shrimp tempura. Everything was good. I would make one change, and that would be to include more vegetables. This part of 16th St is rather pedestrian-lacking and more transient/car heavy. This place offers a small amount of dining in as well as carry out and delivery. They have sushi rolls, hibachi meals, smoothies, apps, fried rice, and more - something for everyone. A very kind gesture from the business owner - they're also offering a discount for those that live inside the building! I opted for the hibachi tofu veggie dinner. It comes with choice of soup or salad - which it was 15 degrees outside so the easy choice was soup. It was the perfect amount of umami and salty. The hibachi meal came with large cut veggies and tofu, along with a yum yum sauce. My wait for takeout was only 7-10 minutes. Of note for the vegans/plant-based: my rice in my hibachi meal came with eggs so be sure to ask ahead. For an "express hibachi" place, this is money. Just as (or more) quality as from sit down hibachi establishments. I appreciate how they have tofu option. Chicken is high quality as well. Room for improvement, albeit minimal, would be to serve ginger sauce (in addition to yum yum that comes along with entree) and also a spicy sauce (or thai chili would be great).
