She was very welcoming and showed us to our table. There are individual chairs that sit at a bar towards the moving food or in booths We sat in a booth. My feet could not reach so I had to sit on the very end of the seat. Not real comfortable for me but someone with longer legs would be very comfortable. You can order what you want from a menu on an iPad and a cute train brings it to you. Once you enter your food choices you must press place order. It seems simple enough but two other couples waited on food only to realize they did not follow the prompt. We missed the prompt ourselves We had two small bottles of saki. It was dry and very tasty The girl that seated us kept tabs on us and made sure we got everything we wanted. This is a fun place with pleasant customers. Shoya Revolving Sushi was a fun experience overall. The food was pretty good and it was nice being able to try a bunch of different types of sushi without committing to full rolls. Nothing completely blew me away, but I did really enjoy the kushiyaki. We definitely left full by the end. There was about a 15 minute wait on a Saturday around 7 pm. At first the setup was a little confusing, but our server explained everything well. You order from the screen at your table, and if you need help there is a call server button. It actually reminded us a lot of revolving sushi places we visited in Japan. At the end they even give you a little prize capsule, which was a fun touch since capsule toys were everywhere in Japan too. My favorite part is watching the sushi move around the restaurant. They also have little delivery cars and robot servers that bring food to the table. It never felt too loud or chaotic either. I would definitely come back again, especially with a group. read more

4.3.26 First time here. I love the fun that is revolving sushi, and this one for dinner is all-you-can eat for $30 (plus extra for beverages). There is also an a la carte option / prices per plate, but that exact price was unclear to us. Decor is fun and a bit "kawaii" (cute), as evidenced by the giant sushi characters outside. This was a Friday night, and they were faily busy but not with a wait, so we were seated quickly. You can grab off the endless conveyor belt, and also order from the screens at each table for direct delivery via the little train. The conveyer was a good selection of rolls and lots of tempura; we used the screen ordering to get things like spicy edaname (delicious!) and specific sushis (eel, salmon, tuna, etc). This was a perfect combo of food, although it did take about 35min for our "train" order to get to us (only reason for my 4 starts or else it would be 5). It's neat to see the robot server buzzing around and the conveyor belts of sushi rotate through with items to grab. They play top 100 pop music in the back ground too. You can also order fresh sushi and appetizers and desserts from the touch screens as each booth/seating area. Been hearing about these "conveyer belt" sushi places, so had to try one! Came with 2 others that were first timers too and what an experience! It is all you can eat sushi and other items. They have a tablet at each table/booth with menu items included in the all you can eat that you can order and/or you can grab an item off the conveyer of your liking. So many sushi options, miso soup, crab Rangoon's, edamame, chicken kebabs, ice cream, and MORE! The drinks came out on a robot which was fun! Really great to see more revolving sushi restaurants in Indy. I tried Kura and this one was next on my list. Came right at the opening hour - the place was really nice and clean inside. There was a small line at the entrance - people weren't getting seated or even greeted. A few minutes later we caught staff's attention and they seated us at the bar-like area. I asked if we could get a booth - the place was 95% empty. They said that they needed to check something and if sushi would make it to that side of the restaurant. This made no sense - it's the same conveyor belt lol. Food was great though - all the bites were fresh and tasty, and ordering was easy. Custom order took 20 mins or so to get - Kura did it in 5 mins, for comparison. The staff was very polite and friendly, but they also messed up billing in the end - brought us sometime else's checks and credit cards and insisted they were ours while they were clearly from a different table. Weird. All in all, good food but operationally it needs major improvements. read more

My family was excited to try Shoya Revolving Sushi for New Year's Day lunch after hearing great reviews. We called ahead and were told there was no wait, so we headed over within 10 minutes. When we arrived, there was a small line of three groups in front of us. No one directed us where to go, but another family waiting told us to get in line. We waited about 15 minutes as more guests arrived and the line doubled. After a few more groups arrived, one family went to the front to sign in. Worried we had been waiting for nothing, I went to the bar area to ask if we needed to sign in. They told me no, the kitchen was slammed, and we should return to the line. Another 15 minutes passed, half the tables were empty, and no one had been seated. At no point did any staff acknowledge us, give updates, or communicate with the waiting guests. The handling of the situation was extremely poor. After waiting 40 minutes, we, along with most other guests, decided to leave. read more

Came here for the robots! I've been wanting to try one of these Sushi restaurants with the revolving belt of food and the robots that bring things out to your table. I grabbed some friends and we headed to the north side to try it out! We were seated right away when we arrived and the server took our drink order. Before we knew it, the robot brought all of our drinks! How cool! Right away we were pulling plates off of the conveyor belt. They don't just have sushi but an assortment of items on the conveyor belt. There is also a tablet to order from the kitchen. Just make sure its labeled "AYCE" (all you can eat) and it is included in the price. In addition to sushi, we also ordered crab rangoon, sesame balls, and spring rolls. The first thing I noticed was the awesome decor and second was the robot waiter! We chose the all you can eat option which allowed us to grab anything off of the carousel, as well as order from the touch screen menu. Its pretty good sushi but the service has to change A LOT for us to come back or bring our friends. We were in earlier today and sometimes waited over 30 minutes for small plates. We consistently got less pieces than advertised on the menu and wouldn't even put in parts of our order. The conveyor belt was 90% empty so we couldn't just eat what's available. They don't market what type of rolls are on the belt anyway so you would have to guess what you're eating. All of the food on the screen was also part of the all you can eat although it was slow to arrive (could be due to opening recently). We liked the layout of the place. There are a lot of different sushi options on the menu. I like that you can order direct instead of waiting and hoping what you want comes around the belt. All if was very tasty. The staff was wonderful as well. Right before we left, one of them came over and asked if it was my wife's birthday and if she wanted a piece of cheesecake and for them to sing. My wife took the cheesecake but declined the singing. We were so stuffed that we asked for a box to take it home and they said of course. The lunch price is fantastic at $20 but would have no problem paying the weekend and dinner rate. I'm glad we came a second time before I wrote my review. Our two experiences were very different. The first night, they had only been open a few days. Service was only ok, but the food came out quickly and was very good quality. My mom doesn't eat sushi and ordered French fries and chicken nuggets. I know there shouldn't be a huge expectation that non-sushi items be great, but hers were barely edible. Something to consider if you're bringing someone with you who wants little kid food. After our second experience, we won't be back until they iron out their staffing/capacity issues. We came for lunch on a weekday during winter break. The place was packed with literally every table full. They only had three servers and I could see the kitchen staff was hustling. Still, it took more than half an hour to get any of our food that was a special order. This wouldn't be bad if the rotary sushi was working, but with so many people and us being near the end of the rotary belt, most tasty items were snagged by other patrons before they got to us. We watched a lot of empty plates roll by. A big part of the draw of places like this is the robot drink delivery and getting food off the conveyer, but they were so slammed that servers brought drinks and most appetizers directly to tables. We also received someone else's rolls - I think the table immediately behind us, as we heard them complaining that their rolls never came and they had to leave after waiting way too long. They need to get more kitchen and wait staff or close off some tables if they keep the current staff levels. The place is too big to serve everyone well as they currently do it. read more

I think in terms of the value is a great place to go to. However, you do need to be prepared for long weight lines if you're coming during peak hours. And their system of how they do first and first out for customers and seating is a little rough. That being said, the sushi quality at least in Indianapolis is still pretty good. The concept of revolving sushi is always fun, and that is why you would come to a place like Shoya, for the vibes. I went during their weekday lunch hour, hoping it wouldn't be too crazy busy. The hype hasn't quite died down yet, as the cool new place to go to. I had about a half hour wait before getting seated. At Shoya, you have the option of grabbing plates of the conveyer belt or placing orders on the iPad for specific dishes. As the main reason for this visit was the revolving sushi portion, I did not place any order initially. However, from being seated, it did take me about 15 minutes (there is a timer on the iPad screen) for me to be able to pull anything from the belt. I think they need more staff to help with the demand when there is a full seating, as the rate at which dishes are being pulled is faster than what the kitchen can send out. The sushi, while freshly made, is what is expected from a western friendly joint: I did appreciate that the rolls were not made with a ton of rice. The fish is acceptable, nothing super special. I would strongly recommend coming with a group so that conversation can pass the time. The staff was helpful in showing how to pull the plates and placing orders. This is a super fun new experience in the heart of Clearwater/Keystone area. We visited just about 1 week after opening and opted for later on a Sunday evening closer the closing, because it was quite busy on Saturday evening. We just did the a la carte to figure out the process, but learned you can order from the menu when doing the all you can eat, it just takes a bit longer for it to come around. The price for the all you can eat dinner was $29.99--as of 11/16/25, but Lunch pricing for the all you can eat is lower. There is a small bar area, but appears only to have wine and beer. The staff is very friendly, the restaurant is very open, colorful & fun and the conveyer and robots bringing food is very cool and makes this a really unique experience!! There is an open view kitchen with a few hard working chefs quickly making food and dropping it right on to the conveyor! Everything was really good, fresh and hot (or cold for our rolls).
