While we have found our favorite places to eat (like we have @ home in So Cal), we had yet to find a Sushi place that comes close...until we went on Tuesday. The Hostess welcomes you w/a smile & you can tell they're pleased to have you there. As w/most Sushi places, they all have there "custom" rolls & things you always order. This is 1 of the toughest things when trying to find a new place that's not your own. Sushi Fever came as close as any we have tried. John, our waiter, was very patient & helpful as my husband tried to explain what he likes & always gets @ home. John went through some rolls that were very similar & he was pleasantly surprised. We will surly be asking to be seated in his section whenever we are there. As for me, I don't like Sushi but love anything that's cooked. An excellent place for sushi if you're in this area of town. Restaurant itself is clean and decorated like most sushi restaurants. The staff are nice and knowledgeable. We love their rolls. It's hard to choose a favorite, but mine is the one wrapped in thinly sliced apples. So fresh with the most incredible dipping sauce. There is typically a wait so be prepared. We really enjoyed our dinner at Sushi Fever! It lives up to all their amazing reviews. We went the day after valentine's day, and it was busy. We ordered a sushi and sashimi combo that came with a spicy tuna roll and also a summer roll, caterpillar roll and one more specialty roll but I cannot remember the name. This is the go to sushi place for my friends and I. Out of the numerous times we've gone, there was only been on where I was slightly disappointed in my food. I used to love this place a lot. Today I decided to get sushi rolls for takeout from my favorite place. I putted an order and had to wait for over than 30 minutes. I understand about rush hours and was so patient. I was so happy driving home with my order. When I got home I realized that they didn't give me what I paid for. I called to the restaurant and was told to drive back and return that wrong order with all pieces in place and exchange it for my order even though I told them I already opened it. A good choice for sushi if you're in Cedar Park. I stopped by for lunch to try their triple-roll lunch special (a real deal if you're just in the mood for the sushi basics, as I was). Service is fast, friendly, and on-point. Beware the hours - they close in the mid-afternoon for a bit, like European family restaurants - and they are closed on Monday. As to the basics - I stuck with the tried n' true Eel Roll, Crunchy Roll, and Shrimp Tempura. Oh, and a side of tobiko (flying fish roe) on the side. The tobiko here is dyed with squid ink, which doesn't affect the taste but gives it a pleasant caviar look. Each of the rolls were fine, though they lacked character due to the over-use of eel sauce. If you look at my picture you'll see what I mean. No matter what was served, it's topped with a zig-zag of sauce, which makes everything taste soy+sweet. Somewhat disappointing, which is why I'd really give it a 3.5 stars (but I'm coming back, so I'll round up not down.) This place scores a 3.5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK being seen eating here by Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. This review is n update just for the lunch menu. We went for lunch this past Friday and the quality of the fish and portion size were a great value for the cost. I ordered the 3 roll combo - selecting tuna, spicy tuna and the Eel. The tuna rolls were both tasty but I would pass on the Eel. It tasted sweet with very little Eel flavor. The wifey got the sushimi C lunch and it was outstanding. That included 5 nigiri and sashimi pieces which were all spot on for $20. We will be visiting more often! read more

I have been here twice. Back in Oct 2021 and then recently this year. The first time I wasn't impressed but I also was with friends who ordered actual rolls and not sashimi. Basically rolls just dunked in sauce which mask the actual flavor of the raw fish. The second time I ordered sashimi. In my opinion eating sushi is tasting the fish raw as what sushi is known for. I wasn't impressed either. 1. Each time the restaurant is so busy and always a wait. 2. Considering every industry is short handed on servers I will say the service is top notch reason for 3 stars. 3. I know supplies have gone up causing prices to go up as well but it's still overpriced. 4. It's loud in there so not a good ambience to take on a date. If you prefer cooked rolls like shrimp tempura, spider rolls, fried rolls, etc this would be a good place for it. read more

This is THE place for sushi in the Cedar Park area. Very small venue but outstanding service and food. On really nice days we try to snag a table outside. My favorites are the Mango Snow Crab Spring Roll and the Vegas Roll. Hubby likes many rolls but Carrot Top is one he orders every time. Food is fresh and artfully plated. This place is very popular with locals but we have noticed people driving in from other places to eat here. I think that says it all. read more

I wasn't going to leave a review but after tonight I decided to. I came here recently on a date. The food was great. Service is AWFUL. The waiters seem very overwhelmed. When paying for our meal, the waitress grabbed the card and when bringing the receipt back to sign, my dates card wasn't in the folder. We asked if she gave it back and she said she did but still went to look for it and found it on the floor. She gave the card and as we were getting up to leave, she grabbed my plate and spilled soy sauce down my hair, my back and into my Louis Vuitton purse that was hanging on the back of my chair without even noticing what she did. I did attach a photo of my purse from when she stained it, and the host told us to just send an email instead of grabbing the owner or manager once we asked to speak to one. Tonight I tried to go have dinner with my mom..I called while I was 5min out and was told there was no wait. I show up and was told there would be a 20-25min wait. We only waited for maybe 8min but were seated and got no service not even for water after sitting for probably 5-8min. No one ever checked if we were asked for drinks or order taken. Needless to say, I don't recommend this place to ANYONE and will continue to share with people my experience. read more

One thing I look for in a great restaurant and their food is consistency, and this place does a really good job at keeping their food delicious every single time I come here. Unlike most of the food that I try here in the states where you feel stuffed and bloated after eating your meal. These guys know how to keep their food light while at the same time keeping the quality of their dishes high so that way you don't feel terrible after you're done eating. The place has a wonderful atmosphere and feels both kind of fancy and casual. Additionally, the restaurant is also super clean and has great service compared to most places and is a great to restaurant to check out if you are a fan of fish like me. But, if you are not a fan of fish you can always try their teriyaki plates which despite not being something that they specialize here are still pretty good in terms of flavor but are not as light as the sushi plates. Overall, I would say this restaurant is a nice to place to visit if you are craving for some Japanese food that's both fresh, tasty, and light. Just beware of their teriyaki plates because they are a lot more filling but still taste good nonetheless. read more

My gf and I stopped here on a whim. It was so random. Our first try we really enjoyed it. On our second visit I asked the awesome wait staff for recommendations and they suggested "The Monica Vegas" roll from the special/hidden menu! (We have been here many times since) My gah! After a couple of dips, it was just so salty like soy sauce... I just had to dip the tempura in the agedashi tofu sauce so I can finish my meal from home. I'll never be back. This is our go to sushi place - great sushi for reasonable prices. Over Covid we've ordered takeout a number of times so no complaints about the sushi, in fact we will keep eating the sushi here. This review is for the lunch. We dropped in for the first time ever to have lunch here and we're extremely disappointed. We both ordered the bento box, 1 with scallops, 1 with the fried chicken. First, it took too long for the food to come out. We were the first people in the door so we were pretty surprised by how long the food took. Next, when it finally came out, one the orders was wrong. What was supposed to be fried chicken came out teriyaki. The waitress took the box back to the kitchen and came back saying it would take about 7 minutes for the chicken to be done. Typically when this happens at other restaurants, the wrong order is offered and the fixed menu would come out subsequently. In this case, since we'd have to wait (we had already waited too long at this point and needed to get back to work), we asked to just get the bento box with the wrong chicken back. When we dug in, the food was waaaay to sweet (a sweet sauce was placed on basically everything) which made the whole mean unenjoyable. The best part of the box was the salad and the California roll. We will not be back for this lunch menu but will be back for sushi. read more

Update: been here several times since my review and it gets worse by the visit. The rolls are really small compared to other places. I wasn't impressed with the taste of the food either. Service was friendly and fast but no longer a 5 star for me. Service was very friendly. I am more of a tempura type, rarely eat raw, and even the crunchy roll was amazing. Loved the food, nice ambiance with good music playing. They also serve Kinsen Plum wine which is a plus. Not very many around here carry plum wine and it was only 6 bucks. We had a really great meal at sushi fever. This was our first time eating inside and we felt very safe with their spacing and cleanliness. Our server, Rick recommended a couple of off menu items and I'm glad I took his advice. I absolutely adored the roll that I ordered called the Vegas. It had crunch from the tempura shrimp and a variety of fish on top plus sauces. The sauces were slightly sweet and also spicy and so very delicious. I asked for some of my wife's rice so I could coat it with the remaining sauce and eat it all because it was that good. My wife had the chicken teriyaki platter which she really enjoyed. Unlike me, she doesn't like a lot of sauce so Rick accommodated putting the teriyaki sauce on the side. She loves vegetables and was super happy that this entree came with a nice medley of cooked vegetables rather that a salad. We are looking forward to returning and I want to try some of the other rolls that were recommended by Rick. I also want to call out that Rick was a super server. He was funny, he provided excellent service and gave great recommendations. This all contributed to a wonderful experience at this restaurant. read more

Love the ambiance. I am almost addicted I only go here for sushi now, it is always fresh and perfectly prepared In beautiful arrangement . They have the sweetest hostesses up front who also do to gos and are fast on their feet (although they do have long wait times online). I love seeing how clean the kitchen is it is very reassuring. The servers (specifically some male ones) may need some improvement in guest relations but they are very good at getting food to you on time. read more

Came here with a friend for dinner since he lives near by and was thoroughly impressed. I'm not up in this area very often and tend to go other places for sushi. But I'm super excited to have found a great sushi place this far up north! They best thing on the menu is the Agadashi Tofu, I have not found a place in town that makes it this fantastic! The outside is perfectly crisped. It is a complete must try for everyone! I could eat it all day. Everything else that we ordered was great too, we didn't leave a single thing untouched. I will definitely return. The service here is amazing, our server had great recommendations and he came by often to check on us. He was very attentive.
