Where to even start with the perfection that is Patrick and Fresh Sushi Catering. I had the pleasure of working with Patrick on a wedding that I coordinated. He was one of my good vendors who got back to me right away and always answered my questions promptly. He even came out for a walkthrough, which no one ever does. On the day of the event, Patrick and his team were on time and ready to go. Now for the good part...the food!! I've done dozens of events, with catering ranging from hotel food, food trucks, and bbq. I've seen it all...but this was the first time I've ever done an event with sushi. And it was amazing! This was probably the best food I've ever had at a wedding...2nd to the time we had a wedding with an in-n-out truck ; ). But really though, the fish was fresh and that of super high quality, they made special rolls that were just a party in your mouth, and Patrick even made a beautiful plate for the bride and groom topped with 24 K gold. Wow! Way more than I expected. Chef Giles is awesome!! I contacted Patrick via email to do a small party at my home. There wasn't a lot of lead time and he was extremely accommodating. He arrived on-time and got set-up and what a set-up! He came with the glass, fresh fish counter (very impressive) and plenty of utensils, dishes, and incredibly fresh fish. I've had several sushi parties, but nothing like this. Everything was amazing! I wouldn't hesitate to have him do my next sushi event. I met Patrick Giles probably over 8 years ago when he catered to my friend's bachelorette party under another sushi catering company. I remembered him because sushi was not only amazing, but he was also funny, interactive and charming. I kept his business card ever since because I knew I would want to use his services again someday. Fast forward to today, I was turning 30, and I wanted to throw a birthday party that was fun, unique and unforgettable. Since I am a Pisces, I decided on a fish theme and the first thought that came to my mind was getting a sushi chef! My main priority was making sure my friends would have a good time at my party, and I knew having sushi personally catered and hiring someone like Patrick would make a lasting impression to them since that was what he did to me 8 years ago. Fortunately, I was able to track him down with the power of Google Search. Alas, I hired him for my big event, and the experience was as good as what I remembered! Sushi was seriously amazing. Because he charges by the market rate, you're guaranteed to get the best and fresh fish. A couple of my favorite rolls from him were the pizza roll and the protein roll. He was open and flexible to what I liked. For my party, he even gave me the opportunity to customize my own roll, so that was a lot of fun to come up with something on my own! Before the night even ended, my friends and I were literally devouring the rolls so if I had to give any complaint, it would be not having enough and wanting more, more, more! Patrick catered our daughters sweet 16th birthday party. He made her feel special by searching her out amongst her guests to offer her the first sample of everything he created. Everything was so fresh and my daughter loved it. Her guest were impressed as well. I am not a fan of sushi but Patrick created an burnt eel, candied almond, and nutella dish that was divine. We had a gathering tonight with 20 close friends. We do this every couple of months and get different caters every time. I must say Patrick, has been the best we have ever had. The made 10 different types of roles plus a sashimi platter that was so beautiful that every one of our friends insisted on taking a picture with it before we all dug into it. He had an addition Japanese sushi chef with him that was making tempura and served it hot as we were all eating. Patrick also brought a server with him (Chloe) who was kind attentive and on the ball. At the end of the party they cleaned up and made it look like they were never there. It not easy to invite people into your house and trust them to serve your friends. Not only is Patrick a talented chef he is also a fun, warm, pleasant person to be around. He only uses the highest quality of everything. We have just returned from Japan and I can tell you the wasabi he used is the real deal just like Tokyo. I can't say enough kind words about Patrick Giles and his team.
