I just can't stay away from this facility. I keep coming back for the food but truthfully, the chef and service is always so kind and helpful, they went from being just a restaurant to being friends. Food is always a 10/10, every time I come in it's another day of happiness for my taste buds.

Great bang for your buck. Incredibly clean. My server was super sweet and my sushi and salad was delicious.

First time here it was a cute little low key spot with good vibes and good food. Had a cute little date night with my husband felt comfortable and relaxed. Definitely will come back here again.

Let me start by saying this is why family owned businesses are the best. The owner is such an elite sushi chef that he got me to try fish for the first time in my life. I normally go for the chicken katsu and on special occasions their kind enough to make me fun versions of it The environment feels calm and personal with classically styled music is playing quietly in the back so you're able to have your conversations without being over stimulated. His daughters and son help the most at the restaurant so you'd think it would be harder with only family around but it really makes every trip out there feel like visiting an old friend. Such patience and dedication to explaining the rolls to make sure you're getting exactly what you're craving. Service was fast compared to most large chains, that's why I like family owner because you can tell their always doing the most to make sure you're happy with your experience. So delicious, I will def keep coming back

The sushi at this restaurant is amazing. I didn't go in with any expectations of it being great, but I was pleasantly surprised. The rolls were fresh and the service was prompt. The owner even came over and had a chat with us. We will definitely return.

I've been here several times over the years and it is one of my favorites sushi spots. The sushi chef is wonderful. Every visit I ask for the freshest sashimi and let him pick it out for me. Every time I am impressed. I also love their kimchee and their hot tea. I always leave full and happy.

I've been wanting to try Sushi Gallery for awhile, as it's near a family member's home and has consistently positive reviews. Today we ordered carry-out and I was very impressed with the quality of food, prices and friendly service. We ordered the house salad, miso soup, chicken ramen, Michigan Roll and the Triple Spicy Tuna Roll. My favorite was the Triple Spicy Tuna! The jalapeños on top were so fresh and added a nice bite. The salmon and tuna in the Michigan Roll were both melt-in-your-mouth fresh and tasty. The ramen had great flavor, but we'll add veggies next time for a little more depth. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and can't wait to return! I highly recommend stopping by the next time you want a great local sushi experience for a great price.

UPDATE: I've been back 3 times since my first review and this place has quickly moved up in rank. It is hands-down the highest quality for the best price. And as you know, I've done my research. I also love the selection of special rolls here. Thankfully the location is convenient for me, otherwise I would've never discovered it. If you're having trouble finding the place, look for Powerhouse Gym!! Sushi lovers, don't let this gem of a place pass you by.

2 House salads, firecracker, caterpillar, 2 Cali special with added green onion and cream cheese and a veggie japchae. The house salads were good, the dressing was yummy. The japchae was tasty and had a ton of flavor, much more than I am used to for japchae. It went well with the spicy kimchi banchan dish. The Cali special rolls were so delicious, perfectly rolled. The caterpillar was really good and had nice flavor with the seaweed seasoning on top as was the firecracker. The sushi chef/owner made us a salmon and radish roll as a gift but we sadly couldn't eat it since we don't eat raw meat, but it was really very thoughtful of the chef. The waitress is attentive and nice, but quiet. This is a great family owned restaurant and I love seeing Korean food items on the menu. Who doesn't love a Korean and Japanese fusion of food?

    Yum!

1st time, very good and you got to try the Lion King. No pictures, too good to wait after 1st bite.

It's little changes like that that elevate the dish beyond other regular sushi offerings. It was so appreciated! We ordered the spicy tuna roll. It had the excellent tuna and then they put yum sauce on it. That was odd because it masked the beautiful taste of the bluefin tuna, and that made it a miss for me. If you order, do yourself a favor and tell them no sauce. The dragon roll had real snow crab inside and eel and avocado on top. This also had a crunchy topping that I would tell them to hold if I did it again. It didn't really add anything to the dish and it obscurred the taste of the tender eel a bit. Not until I broke open a piece to isolate the snow crab could I truly appreciate the delicate flavor. It got a little lost inside the vibrant roll. The red dragon roll was well balanced and exactly what I was expecting. The bluefin tuna could easily shine on top of this roll. And it did. It was rich and succulent. The tigerlilly roll was lovely and topped with salmon and roe. It says on the menu it was torched. Ours was not. It was perfect the way we got it though, so I wouldn't change anything. I also ordered eel sashimi and the avocado, asparagus and cucumber roll for something refreshing. We all shared the rolls as we had drinks at the bar. Our bartender was attentive, friendly, and brought the sushi along with serving us our drinks. The lychee martini was a hit. What an interesting and slightly tart flavor! It was a light-hearted and fun time and I would go back in a heartbeat .

tl;dr chicken katsu sando was fantastic, would come back to try the other sandwiches. Classic rolls…read morewere also solid, but given the limited number of classic rolls, would probably not return for sushi alone. Service (4.75/5): Our main server was very friendly and gave us a good overview of the menu as it was our first time. They were great and attentive. We were also served by a second server who dropped off our food and disappeared so quickly that we waited a while before they walked by again. When we finally got the chance to ask for soy sauce and sauce dishes, they grabbed the soy sauce from a nearby table and left before we could even get to asking for the sauce dishes. Nothing terrible, but we did feel a little awkward. Food (4/5): Sushi was both good and not good. Of the 3 rolls we ordered, the salmon avocado and tuna avocado were solid; the proportion of fish to rice was great and the fish quality was above average from your typical sushi restaurant. However, the Tigerlily was quite disappointing, especially at $22 for the roll. The roll was torched a bit too long, cooking the salmon almost all the way, but my main gripe was a mysterious creamy sauce that was drizzled on top. The roll ended up being way too heavy and the sauce overpowered the salmon and the little bit of ikura that was sprinkled on top. On the other hand, the chicken katsu sando was really excellent. Chicken was juicy, breading was light and crispy, and the fries were well-seasoned. My only suggestion for the kitchen is to slice the sandwich vertically instead of horizontally; you can see that the bread on half of the sandwich was mostly crust/air instead of the actual bread part. Ambiance (4/5): It's got an upscale, modern feel to it that would probably make a nice environment for a date night or catching up with friends over happy hour. I was there on a Tuesday evening, so it wasn't crowded. There was music playing but it wasn't too loud, so it was easy to have a conversation.
