    Crazy Shrimp Roll

They are the only sushi in town that I know of so a star for originality but I'm sorry, this place is just a no for me. Like another post said if you eat sushi often and have experienced different types then this place will not fulfill your sushi needs. The toppings definitely overtake the rolls and quality/freshness did not meet my personal expectation. But maybe it was just an off day, definitely room for improvement.

Pretty good, little sushi place. I ordered a California Roll, a tuna roll, and a salmon roll. It came out to $16, which seems a little high even for sushi; but most restaurants are more expensive lately. Everything tasted pretty good, and everything was fresh. Nothing crazy, just your typical sushi place. The setup was nice and the staff was friendly. My only complaint is that one piece of the tuna sushi had only a tiny, sliver of tuna on it. I would have expected at least a decent amount of tuna in every piece. This is the main reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

Five stars for being a small business catering to the fine people of Anna. If you've been to many Sushi restaurants, don't expect too much. This joint is more for the beginners and anyone who needs an eel sauce fix and wasabi fix. You get what you pay for as far as the overall roll, the wait time is average and sushi rice is properly cooked. Think of it as a fast food Sushi but not something that you'll find at a Kroger deli.

My friend loves sushi & came to town to visit so we decided to try out Sushi Go & it did not disappoint! The workers were all very friendly and helpful, the restaurant was very clean, beautiful decor and the sushi of course was fresh & delicious! I love shrimp so I tried the shaggy dog which was (Shrimp tempura, avocado, and crab topped with eel sauce, spicy mayo, and crunch) & the crazy shrimp roll which happened to be my favorite (Cucumber, avocado, crab, double shrimp tempura, spicy crab, and crunch.) my friend ordered the angry wife & hot mama roll and said her favorite was the hot mama roll. It was all delicious & large portions! I can't wait to go back again!

The quality of food was good. We tried quite a few of their speciality rolls. Particularly impressed by their baked rolls. I would recommend if in or near Anna. Real casual vibes and solid service.

Service was fast. The fish was tasteless and on the warm side. For what I paid I was expecting more.

For a Saturday the place was filled with patrons which is always a good sign. Parking was a little crap but there's not much we can do about that. Its located inside a small strip mall of businesses. There is ample parking across the street but that does require walking is almost 100 degree heat. We were seated right away. For our table we ordered the sashimi bento box which came with fresh slices of salmon, tuna and white fish. The portions were extremely generous as they also included salad, miso soup, tempura with veggies, and a double order of california rolls. Thats definitely a Texan sized meal. We also ordered a octopus roll. This came with a large portion of ginger and wassabi too. Food was delicious, pricing wise even more competitive to Carrollton and we were in the vicinity so it was extremely convenient to nearby attractions, including the downtown McKinney historical district. Highly recommended!

It is so pretty on the inside, with the traditional Japanese flair. They have a great menu with an extensive selection rolls. The prices are great and affordable. We both ordered from their lunch special menu, which was any two rolls for $13. The rolls themselves are huge! We even took some to go because we couldn't finish them all. The fish is divinely fresh, along with everything else that was served. The service was excellent. We have found our go-to sushi spot and will return to try other options from their menu.

The staff was genuinely friendly and attentive, which immediately set a positive tone for the experience. The menu offered a great variety with plenty of options, and I really appreciated that items were clearly marked to indicate whether they contained raw fish. That's a thoughtful touch that makes the menu more approachable for guests who may be new to sushi or prefer cooked options. Presentation-wise, the rolls looked fantastic and were plated beautifully. The flavors were good as well. However, the one thing that held the experience back for me was the portion size of the rolls. Some of them were extremely large--my Rock & Roll was so big that fitting a single piece comfortably in my mouth was a challenge. Sushi is traditionally meant to be eaten in one bite to enjoy the balance of rice, fish, and fillings. When the pieces get too large, it can throw off that balance and make the eating experience a bit messy. I also found the eel sauce to be unusually thick--almost molasses-like--which didn't quite have the smooth, glossy texture I typically enjoy. Overall, it's still a solid spot worth trying, especially if you enjoy larger rolls and generous portions. For me personally, the size of the rolls disrupted the balance I look for in sushi, so it may not become my regular spot--but others may really enjoy it.
