It's been a while since I reviewed Nosoo b/c we don't live that close by anymore. I used to literally work in the same parking lot, but not anymore so we haven't been by. HOWEVER, that recently changed thanks to a new appointment we've recently had change our family schedule, where we end up nearby on certain days, and we've decided to make it a habit to come back by here since it used to be our literal favorite Hibachi spot. Turns out - it still is! It definitely still doesn't get nearly as much attention as it should, but as other Hibachi restaurants have started switching to cheaper menu options like the dreaded switch from the amazing MUSTARD dipping sauce I LOVE, to the horrible white goo that some goober called "Yum Yum" sauce (should be called "Yuck Yuck" in my opinion), Nosoo kept the mustard sauce! They also still have the delicious subtle ultra-thinly-sliced mushroom or "Suimono" soup and didn't switch to cheap overly salty tofu-riddled yellow broth like - again - most other competing local Hibachi restaurants seem to have done. In closing, I'm glad Nosoo is still there, still yummy, and still providing the best overall Hibachi menu out there all these years later. TL;DR - THEY STILL USE THE SUPERIOR MUSTARD DIPPING SAUCE AND NOT THE "YUM YUM" GARBAGE! read more

This is hands down my favorite Japanese restaurant. The food is consistently fresh, beautifully prepared, and genuinely delicious every single time. The hibachi is flavorful and cooked perfectly, and the sushi is always high quality, clean-tasting, and expertly crafted. You can tell they take pride in their ingredients and presentation. The staff is incredible. Super friendly, attentive, and genuinely accommodating. They go above and beyond to make sure guests are taken care of. If you show up with patience and basic decency during peak times, you'll be treated exceptionally well. As for the 1-star reviews posted over Valentine's Day weekend, those lack credibility. Anyone with common sense knows that Valentine's Day is one of the busiest weekends of the year for hibachi restaurants /anywhere/. Judging a restaurant solely on an extreme holiday rush ignores what they consistently deliver the rest of the year. If you want fresh sushi, great hibachi, and a welcoming atmosphere, this place absolutely delivers. Highly recommend through and through. read more

First of all, I would like to say the lady who worked the receptionist stand and was our waitress was incredibly sweet. We started off with Goyzo (fried dumplings) and honestly they were really good. Very well made. Then we both ordered the Hibachi Combo, wife had Chicken and Shrimp and I had the NY Strip and Scallops. It was all pretty good with the exception of the NY Strip. I ordered medium and it came out well done and tasteless. We also ordered the fried rice which neither of us even touched since I was brought like a dessert at the end of the meal. Over all, it has some good and bad. I don't recommend you go but honestly I don't discourage it either. I wanted to try the Sushi, but I was gun shy because of the time to get something ordered and then to the table. read more

This was my first time visiting! I would say overall the experience and food was okay. They are short staffed so service was a little behind, but they tried their best and were friendly. All the dishes were decent. The chicken fried rice and the spicy udon were the best of all the dishes we ordered. They also have a hibachi menu and grills in the right back corner of the restaurant. We didn't try the hibachi, but there were a lot of attendees tonight for hibachi! My only complaint was the drink I ordered - the mojito. It wasn't made very well... so probably won't order it again if I come back. read more

Terrible customer service and food! After making a reservation for 7pm for Hibachi and being seated at 7pm no hibachi was served at all for a party of 8. We waited patiently until 8:10pm still nothing. We asked to speak to the manager which he did not come directly to our table he took another 15min before getting to us. He did NOT start with an apology. He instead gave multiple excuses as to why a chef was not out yet remind you now it is 8:30pm. At this point my guests and kids were very hungry. So we left because they did not apologize or gave any solution to the problem. I hardly ever leave reviews, but this was the worst experience my family and I ever had including my guests. He was very rude and there will be more one star reviews coming your way Nosoo. read more

Absolutely horrendous service. Manager is complete blundering idiot. Couldn't fix a sandwhich let alone a problem. After being seated for over an hour an half we were told by our very lost waiter that the cook had decided to cook at a table that gotten there after us. When we asked why. They ALL including manager hunched their shoulders. When approached to address the problem the manager acted as if we were in the wrong for having a bad reaction to the lack of service being provided. Been going to this establishment for over 10 years. Will never be back. We never recommend a soul to go into it. I'm sure a health inspector would have a field day in there read more

Nosoo more like NoShot take my money. Food here is Hibabomb very good and great value especially for the lunch specials. No where else has bento boxes for $9.95 this good. Let me start by saying when you make reservations you do not intend to sit waiting for nearly 30 minutes. 20 of those my group of moms and I were not even acknowledged by the staff, despite us crowding the entrance. We came here to enjoy a meal prior to a school dance - but due to the time spent waiting, we were late for our event and had to scarf down our food. My son and I ordered the strip steak which was not the best. My friends that ordered the filet said they were also let down by the quality of the meat. We had guests in town and they had never been out for hibachi so we decided to visit Nosoo. The establishment was moderately busy and we were glad we made reservations for the hibachi table since they were full. The wait staff was friendly and the chef was funny. One of our guests was very picky and the chef accommodated her bizarre requests which was really nice. He also played to the children at the table so it made the evening even more enjoyable. We order a variety of hibachi dinners (shrimp, steak, chicken and scallops) and some sushi items. Everything was great; the seafood was fresh and the steaks were cooked perfectly to order. Disappointing! Used to frequently come here a few years ago. Just got take out from here and the quality seems to have dropped significantly...or someone didn't put much thought into the preparation of my takeout order. Spicy tuna roll packed right next to a spider roll that has sauce on it. Result is a spicy tuna roll that is slathered in unagi sauce. That's pretty gross. Spider roll is sauce gone wild all over it. Philadelphia roll has squished avocado vs space for the avocado and cream cheese. Cucumber rolls that don't hold together. Salmon nigiri tastes slightly off. Very sad. Used to be a great spot to get our sushi fix! For the price and quality, we can do better. read more

We've been here many times and unfortunately I think this was our last time. The hibachi chef was completely boring and did nothing to make it a show. The worst part was he didn't even season the steak with salt or pepper or anything at all. My husband ordered medium rare and he mixed it all up and gave it to the entire table that ordered medium and his was served last and definitely well done. When we brought all this to the attention of our service his response was "yeah I don't recommend anyone comes on Sunday, he's no good". Well how is that my problem!? We will find a new place. I ordered take out lunch hibachi. Food was good but I was sad to discover that my take out hibachi didn't include the onion soup. I will be ordering again, but I'll make sure to order the soup along with the takeout hibachi lunch. Update: my initial review was for my order made last week, I ordered again today and the same host/server from last week was there to greet me. She was so nice and helped clarify I could get soup or salad with the hibachi lunch. Additionally, on my order today I asked if I could substitute the zucchini with more broccoli and she explained the recent price hike in broccoli costs meant they couldn't do a substitution. They did give me with the extra broccoli and no zucchini at all small up charge. She wrote a kind note summarizing everything on my box for me and they gave me an extra onion soup on the house which was so sweet and unexpected. My 4 star review had been upgraded to 5 stars. So glad we decided to try this place out! We came around 3pm and it was a nice quiet atmosphere and we had excellent service. He got a draft beer, I got a mojito. We both got the B Bento box with chicken katsu (pictured), and two specialty rolls (sandy roll and beef tataki roll). It's been awhile since we've been to Teppanyaki place since Ronavitis pandemics, so we decided to try it. It wasn't too packed yet as it was still early. We told the host we wanted to sit down for Teppanyaki and though he was able to accommodate us, he said we should make a reservation next time(we understood why as when we were leaving, there were people lined up!!). Well, I'm going to be very honest and fair on my review for this place. The highlight of our experience was our waitress. She was so friendly, attentive and welcoming. She really made our experience a great one and my husband told her that also. I ordered shrimp/scallops combo and my husband ordered double scallops combo. They come with soup, salad and we upgraded to fried rice. Our chef was good and the food was decent, but we both agreed that the Teppanyaki place we go to in Plano is better in terms of quality of food(specifically scallops was on a thinner side and shrimp was smaller). This establishment is in a great area close to the 75 and very eye catching. I used to come here for sushi all the time and have ate the fried rice as well. this time was so different and not good food or service. Couldn't remember the sushi name I had the previous time and asked the waiter which he acted like he knew but brought out a fried roll completely different than what I've ever had before. I never asked for anything fried. When ordering the chicken fried rice, we were told they can't take onions out of the fried rice, but they are big enough to pick out... When the rice came to our table, the onions were so small and chopped that you could not pick them out. Apparently that's how the fried rice comes??? food came out so fast it's probably all just heated up. Came here for lunch with my friend and our kids. Service was decent for our waitress being the only server. We weren't exactly pleasantly greeted when we walked in (maybe because we had more kids than adults) We had a total of 5 in our party. We ordered rice for the kids and we ordered nigiri and sushi rolls. Everything came out rather quickly. The nigiri was tasty, the yellowtail cheek was a tad dry, and the fried rice was good. First off my review is based more on customer service more than food. From what we tried the food was a 4/5. I love trying new sushi spots, but I doubt I'll come back here. Staff wasn't super welcoming and when we got our check; gratuity had been added. I'm a former waitress and usually gratuity is added to tables of 6 or more per the waitress/waiter discretion. I've never seen 5, but it could be their policy. I myself find it a tad offensive when my ticket has gratuity added; because I normally tip well over 30%. They didn't have many vegetarian options which was disappointing for me since I don't eat meat. Came by late on a Sunday night a couple months ago when a friend was in town - our original choice was unexpectedly closing early that day and I did a quick Yelp to find Nosoo, which had later hours. Menu was pretty standard for your typical sushi & hibachi place - I ended up ordering the eel rice bowl, which was a little too sweet and sticky for my taste. The flavor itself was good but the amount of sauce was pretty overwhelming. Service was good - the guy who took our order was very accommodating, especially considering the late hour, and our food came out relatively quickly.
