Hey. Yeah, you. Did you know that sushi isn't all raw or served cold. They actually have baked sushi. But there's a catch. The best baked sushi isn't the one that's been sitting there on the conveyor belt for 30 or more minutes. It's the one you eat fresh out of the oven. Yeah, you can request fresh ones and they will make it. Our favorite baked ones are the dynamite roll and the Vegas roll. The prices here have always been quite reasonable all things considered. They give you hot tea if you request it and ginger if you request it, but you do have to ask for it. They have Japanese themed decorations but it isn't overly Japanese feeling. You can also get hand tools for a little more. They have plenty of options to choose from. The service was a little slow though as it took about 10-15 min to get our freshly baked rolls. I've been here before and it's been faster. Parking is not an issue here as it is in a strip mall with lots of parking spaces. Definitely a great place for cheap and good sushi. read more

One of the worst sushi restaurants I've ever been to! The first thing I noticed was how some of the sushi plates on the conveyor belt were not covered with the lid. One plate was opened and sitting ON TOP of a lid! I can't imagine how long the sushi has been sitting on the belt and moving around through dust and people coughing/sneezing/talking with opened mouths. The price for the plates also seemed so expensive. One plate with butterfly shrimp was a $3.25 plate when at other restaurants, it's one of the cheaper plates. Kura Sushi plates are around $3.95, so I'd rather pay that price for quality sushi then the one here! I felt bad if we just sat down and left, so we just had a plate out of courtesy and went somewhere else for dinner. read more

Horrible , couldn't leave no stars. Not busy, hardly anything on belt, and if it was, it was inconsistently cut and mushed together. Watresses took order and never brought my drink or other. I wasn't the only one. People next to me went to check out counter, as they couldn't get any help at seat, said they wanted to order more and the two watresses( including this person they spoke with, never helped them). Meanwhile they asked the other waitress on the way, she just ignored them. When I brought my plates up( only 2 because nothing else was different or interesting) the two waitresses were sitting in corner across the belt on phones and chatting. This sushi is some of the worst sushi we've ever had, seriously. We tried giving this place the benefit of the doubt but should've trust the reviews. We eat a good amount of conveyor belt sushi and tbh, I'm no sushi snob, like at all. You could give me a grocery store sushi roll and I'd be like, yum. But this sushi, yuck. The quality of the ingredients seemed very poor, the rolls all looked old despite us coming right around dinner time at 5:30, which I guess we would've expected fresh rolls. They have sushi with STRAWBERRIES on it, tf?! They have plates of blueberries and weird ass fruit, i'm sorry but what. Idk how they managed to f up a basic california roll but they did. After reading previous reviews I was hesitant on going here to meet someone for lunch. Happy to share the place seemed very clean. They must have also read the reviews. One thing that was still true to the reviews is the quality of the food. Some of the sushi rice was perfect while the next plate tasted old on the way to drying out I ordered calamari waited a while then it came cold. So hit and miss on this place. They do have some good things on the menu. The age dashi is pretty darn good. Many other things have slipped majorly. The krab salad is like a seafood flavored dough. Really gross. It's much fresher then other sushi Hana (one around the Washington square is the worst). they make great hand rolls (you need to ask, and they don't charge you extra either). I've been here twice, and the sushi is somehow actually pretty good. They put too much sauce on the sushi, but a lot of places do that. But I just can't really get past how dumpy and thrown together the place is. The patterns on the plates are worn away, the sign listing the prices of the plates is written on a piece of cardboard, there are random boxes all over the place, dishes in the sink, a random tray of breadsticks (breadsticks at a sushi restaurant?) was sitting on top of what looked like a tray of fish that probably should be in the refrigerator, and a random box of floss sitting on a shelf. I just feel like I'm playing Russian roulette of getting a sushi that's a bit "off." And when it comes to sushi, presentation matters, and you want a place that can stick the details. read more

I'm so conflicted about Sushi Hana. I read the rave reviews and think, "Yeah, that's exactly how I feel!" Then I read the less than stellar reviews and think, "Yeah, that's exactly how I feel!" It's just good enough to be worthy of another go around, but not quite good enough to be considered good eats. They always have the conveyor belt well-stocked which is a problem I have with many sushi boat establishments. You arrive hoping to fill your belly with a myriad of fresh fish, and end up watching the same 10 pieces slowly make their way around the restaurant. Not Sushi Hana, they are definitely churning things out. The downside is that they definitely cater to the "pseudo sushi" lover who thinks eating a Philadelphia Roll is a dangerous liaison. They also have cream puffs and cheesecake on the boat which I know bothers some people, but this can easily be made up for by eating one of their volcano rolls. Best. Noms. EVAR! I'm surprised to read some of the other reviews where people say that the service is bad. Granted, once you sit down and get your drink they aren't continuously coming back to you, but they are friendly. I don't know that I've ever been in there when it isn't super busy, and they work very hard to get people seated as quickly as they can. I don't really need someone giving me warm fuzzies, just a staff that appears as though they care. This place does that. The thing that has me coming back to this place over and over again is the price. All plates are either $1 or $1.75 during their "happy hour" which is all day long. I can get pretty full for under $10 which is a steal for sushi. I wouldn't recommend moving mountains to get here, but if you work/live nearby like I do, then I think it's worth a try. read more

First time eating here and I ordered two fresh made French roll dishes but was extremely disappointed when I saw it was the fried shrimp guacamole and rice rolled together. It is the first time I've ever had a guacamole put into my sushi roll so I was definitely confused if this was correct. I left one play untouched thankfully was not charged for it. The service was still great they were quick to see you and ask you if you wanted something to drink or any added beverages.
