Best sushi burrito I've ever had! So fresh, full of color, flavor, and so huge! The rice was perfectly cooked, the salmon was delicious. It was packed with edamame, cucumbers and seaweed(like the seaweed in salads not like the wrapper) so good and so much that eating half made me plenty full!

It was better than a food cart place I've been to in portland, especially for the price. The staff were all very nice as well. If you're looking for restaurant quality food, this is not for you. Poke bowl consisted of salmon, tuna, crab salad (for an additional $2 but the scoop was huge), rice, edamame, corn, red onion, cabbage, fish eggs, seaweed salad, carrots, fried crispy onions, green onions, cucumber salad, furikake, eel sauce, and spicy mayo.

It's alright. Don't know what it is, i think it's the crab meat, but when I first bit into it I got a chemical taste. It's just weird tasting. I'm sure it's okay to eat but it wasn't near an "oh my gosh this is heaven" first bite. Was a bit disappointed they don't have furikake. Avocado is an extra $1 and crab meat is an extra $2.50 which is way too much! Total price for this was about $16. I would consider myself to know what a good sushi burrito tastes like, I've tried a lot of places around oregon and California. I would prefer to go to sushi burritos places in Portland over this place. Overall though, the ahi tuna is fresh and they give you a good helping, the burrito is fairly big. And the worker was friendly.

IJ Sushi Burrito is located inside Washington sq mall food court. I got Dragon Ball sushi burrito combo. The side I choose karage and a marble soda. Forgot to take pictures, I was hungry. The sushi ingredients are fresh. It has Eel, Shrimp Tempura, Cucumber, Avocado with Mayo & Eel Sauce. It's pretty fulfilling. Karage has good texture. Crispy. Not as juicy inside but it's not dry for sure. They serve build your own bowl, burritos and salad. The staff is nice. You will receive a buzzer to wait for the food. Pretty efficient. It's inside a food court so many tables and seats for your choice. It's a good quick meal spot. read more

I was surprised how good this place was for being in a mall food court. The salmon was so buttery and soft. Really good and high quality. Loved the topping options. If you make your own burrito I would say less is more. I only did a few toppings and it was great. Service was fast and nice. Burrito was pretty decent portion and 15$ which to me is a good deal. They also have poke bowls and salads. Would recommend. read more

Fantastic mall food! I really held off on trying sushi burritos in general for a long time, because I don't like feeding into gimmicks. The fact that it was in a mall also made me hesitant, as I was fully expecting too much rice and far too little fish. Boy, was I wrong. The salmon was plentiful, and the veggies and avocado were even more filling. The sauce was delicious -- familiar and distinctive without taking the spotlight from the fish. I think given the price, it was actually fantastic, and I would love to come back. read more

I love this place so much bc the food and the sushi burrito concept is amazing however the service I got today from the boys working there (they look new) kinda made me lose my appetite... I was so hungry and excited for some poke after a long time but right in the beginning as I ordered my usual poke bowl, the boy working there gave me literal half a scoop of salmon and then tries going back to get more to look like he filled it but only filled it with one sliver of salmon.. I literally NEVER ask for extra or ask others to add more of something but this boy's scoops were ridiculous. When I asked for a little more to make him realize that wasnt even one scoop, he says "well it'll be extra".... safe to say I got it anyways bc at least the second scoop filled the first one but paying an extra $3 for that is crazy. If I ever go again, I'm not asking him to make it. Yikes read more

Staff is rude and it was really messy, and got everywhere because it wasn't fully sealed. I asked for a substitution and they lady just said 'no". The actual food itself wasn't terrible, but I wish I had gone somewhere else. read more

I don't know how this place has 4.5 stars. It's 2 stars average at best. Not the worst but definitely not the best. The burrito crumbled in my hands, the takiyoki tasted mediocre and the food was pricey for what it actually tasted and presented itself as. Plus it's in a mall so what else could you expect. read more

He said "not yet." I thought he meant that they hadn't yet been published, but when I went to the bar to say hi to someone I know, I saw a HH menu already on the bar. I'd already ordered off the regular menu, and chose to not change to something on the HH hour just to avoid the conflict. I have no idea what is inspiring this behavior. Perhaps people who order off HH menus don't tip well? In any case, this new HH attitude has definitely dampened my enthusiasm for Fireside. Which is sad since it still has a great tap list and menu.

Because the burgers were in foil pouches and I failed to vent them, the bun and shredded lettuce got soggy. Overall, the flavor was good, and I'm sure it would have been better had we eaten there or vented the burger bags. I did open the bag so the fries and tots would be okay, and they were still crispy and tasty. The milkshakes were delicious. Sure, you could argue even a bad milkshake is still good, but these were pretty darned tasty. Thick but not undrinkably or ear-popping thick. All in all, Mike's is a definite do-over for us.

Tonight was very busy (Friday) and the wait for our food was 30 min but well worth it. We didn't mind waiting because we wanted to eat there which made our experience that much better. The place has plenty of seating including a back area with many more tables. They have a good selection of drinks including a salsa bar. We met Alma, who was the manager and her son Jose who was very friendly and thankful for our visit as well as the other folks who came by to eat. The ambience is great and families, couples young and old were all there tonight. We have found out go-to place for chicken and will definitely be returning here again in the near future.

However, many customers may not read every line of fine print on the menu and may be surprised to see an additional charge added to the bill. In my opinion, employee health-related expenses should be covered by the business rather than passed directly to customers through an extra fee. I would have preferred the menu prices to reflect the actual cost upfront rather than having a separate surcharge added at checkout. Just sharing this so future customers can review their receipts carefully and be aware of the additional fee.
