    49 plates for $174.00

The sushi was fresh and the rice was moist and stuck together nicely. We were greeted when we arrived, Pepsi products only. The conveyor belt wasn't full and the chefs were a little curt. There was one more person eating during lunch times. The salmon roll was rolled messy but it didn't impact flavor.

salmon nigiri ( half frozen )

Ordered a salmon nigiri and it was still frozen!! I also ordered what i believe was an unagi roll and the eel sauce was thick and pasty it just wasn't appealing. Service was mid, the lady who gave me my order i asked her what was on top of the unagi roll and she said eel sauce and then rolled her eyes at me. Felt sick the next day, will not be coming back.

Took to go since didn't want to eat inside during covid. Easy to call in my order and was ready in 10 min. This is yummy sushi. Good prices, tasty sushi. Minus one star for the smaller portions compared to other belt sushi places. For instance, the shrimp tempura was only two pieces, no veggies. The poke salmon was good but not that much salmon, mainly veggies. Great fresh taste and happy to try this place out!

I was on contract at an office right next to this spot and a work buddy kept insisting that we give it a go. First I tried the take out which was okay. Like, I could eat it but seriously for the prices they are charging it seemed less ok. The next visit, I actually went inside and was just flat out angry. There were three staff members we could see and there were two other customers besides us. This totaled four people eating. The staff ignored us for almost the entire hour we were there. This was bad enough but then the sushi chef started mopping up everything in his area with bleach. I know that it's a go round but there were five plates which looked like they were rotating all day long. Apparently there is no one to get me a refill of lemonade, let alone some food I actually want to eat. And now i am inhaling bleach....okay, thanks bye. I've had some tragic restaurant experiences before but this place made me legitimately wonder how they stay open.

I am definitely coming back to O'Sushi again. The price I paid compared to the amount of food, which was good, is amazing. I compared the California Roll of this place to several other places, one other sushi track and two actual sushi restaurants. I was surprised that the California Roll from O'sushi was actually the best and beat out the finer dining sushi restaurants. I got the California Roll 3 pc $2.35, Oregon Roll 4pc $2.65, Tokyo Roll 4pc $2.65, Red Dragon 4pc $2.95, and Salmon roll 6pc $2.35. The California Roll was my favorite at this restaurant because they actually had masago around the outside of the California Roll. The other places opted for sesame seeds. The roll was on the bigger side with a good ratio between rice and filling. The imitation crab had good flavor. The Red Dragon was my favorite out of all the rolls. Again they were very generous here with both the filling and the topping (Krab salad, Shrimp tempura, topped with spicy tuna, jalapeno slices, spicy mayo and sriracha).

Reheated (how many times?) spring rolls

We were on the last part of a 5hr drive and super hungry. We found this place on our route and stopped in. The lack of customers at 4:30pm on a weekday should have been the first indication, but we gave it a try anyway. The belt was full of food and only one other party in the restaurant. I pulled my first selection, a dynamite roll (supposed to be hot/warm), and it had clearly been sitting at the least but very likely microwaved. I could see by the color of the sauce and the opaque color the rice was taking on. When I asked for a fresh one, they said they'd warm it up for me. When I told them I didn't want it reheated and that I'd like a fresh one, it was clearly a chore they weren't willing to take on for me. They said there are plenty on the belt and they made it all fresh for "the dinner hour". The hamachi was super fishy according to my husband. RED FLAG. The peanuts on the sweet chilli roll we're soggy because the sauce had sat on it so long that it wasn't even visible anymore, save the chilli flakes. The rolls with avocado thinly sliced and laid over the roll were oxidizing amd turning brown. Every hot/warm dish was either cold or already had been microwaved. I watched a guy in the back come out and collect the spring rolls, take them back, warm them up and put them back on the belt. I won't be taking my chances here and recommend the same to everyone reading this. The edamame was fine. Cold, but fine. My husband had no complaints on the salmon but the red tuna looked old and dried. The rice on the reheated plates was crunchy and the attitude of the "service staff" was not customer focused, that's apparent. Almost $100 for about 5 plates each after tip. I would recommend against eating here.

    Baked mushrooms to go

This place is quickly becoming my go to quick sushi fix. You cannot beat the price either! This time we ordered: -Baked mushroom 5* -Cucumber salad 5* -Miso soup 4* -Caterpillar roll 3.5* too much rice barely any unagi and a little dry -Vegas roll 3.5* I don't think tempura anything is good to-go but we tried -Seared salmon roll 5* -Tataki roll 4* fish was a little dried out and thick expected a more raw tuna with the crusted pepper edge but this was our first time trying it All this for $20 ish The mushrooms were just loaded and really hit the spot!! The seared salmon roll is our absolute favorite. This time we tried a few more but to be honest we would have been totally fine with all seared salmon rolls

Dragon, New York roll, and I can't remember the 3rd

Idk how to feel about this, the sushi rolls were monstrously huge. It was really hard to eat each piece. Had a difficult time eating the sushi. I guess if you like to indulge the size is good but not an enjoyable experience for me.

The only issue we had is the sake flight sampler my husband ordered had to be substituted and instead of the $15 glass option they substituted a $12 glass option (nothing was mentioned in advance) and the okonomiyaki they are promoting is not available (bummer we were really hoping to have that). All that is to say, first world "problems" and nothing was really a problem per se. We also had 5 pc gyoza appetizer and requested steamed instead of fried which they were happy to accommodate. Had some 5 pc shrimp tempura appetizer too. This 1/2 Japanese woman raised in America says -- eat here, it is authentic! Oishii!!!!

We start off with hot green teas & it's so authentic + rich in flavor. It comes in a nice tea pot and remains hot throughout our meal. We move on to get their gyoza & cucumber salad. Their gyoza is always crispy. The cucumber salad is simple but always delicious. We move onto our rolls - he likes the orange snow and I prefer the dragon rolls. They are portioned well. The flavors within the rolls complement each other well and I love the drizzle of unagi sauce. Our most recent visit, we ordered the poke salad. The Tuna was fresh and tasted great. We weren't huge fans of the seaweed salad. We've tried other rolls and have not been disappointed with any. Our family members also enjoy this place when we visit. The service is always quick and we are usually in and out within an hour. Definitely recommend this spot.

I have been dreading having to write this review, but feel it is my duty both as an avid fan of…read moreJapanese food and a third-generation Japanese person. If I were considering dining at Maru, this is what I would want to know. The staff here are so welcoming, they have really nice chopsticks, and the service is friendly. Beyond that, it is straight downhill. To call this a Japanese-food restaurant is not accurate. Besides the sushi, the food seems to be a mishmash of Chinese and American cuisine with Japanese names. We started out with an order of so-called chicken karaage. Imagine my shock when the server delivered a dish of deep-fried chicken strips with a bright orange sauce on top. This dish tasted exactly like Chinese sweet and sour chicken minus the sour. Instead of pieces of thigh meat, it appeared to be sliced chicken breast. This was clearly prepared by someone who has never seen or eaten chicken karaage. My husband ordered the bento box. I wanted to order one but all four options contained chicken teriyaki and shrimp tempura neither of which I wanted. Hubs went ahead and got one with an assortment of sushi. It also had salad (which was a small handful of mixed greens) Can you think of what was missing? Yeah, rice! He had to order and pay for rice as a side dish for a bento box!! WTH?? No self-respecting Japanese cook would serve a bento box without rice!! I sampled the chicken teri. Oh my god, so dry and tasteless. It also appeared to be sliced chicken breast which explained the dry texture. Hubs said the sushi was fine, fish fresh and rice tasted okay. Oh heavens, now onto my sad dish. I ordered the unagi bowl, clarifying with the server that rice was included. It wasn't visible from the menu picture. She enthusiastically confirmed it was, and that the bowl had a ginger dressing. Yum, I thought. That was the last time for the rest of the meal the word "Yum" came to mind. What was placed before me was this: A wide, shallow bowl with a small amount of rice in the bowl part. It was covered with mixed greens and spinach straight out of a package, not prepared in any way. The unagi was sliced thinly and laid on top. All over the lettuce and seeping unpleasantly throughout the rice was a creamy white dressing with no discernible flavor. Like a drab ranch. NOT the promised ginger dressing. Unfortunately for them, I avoid creamy dressings and mayonnaise. It was a nightmare on a plate. The unagi was okay but a bit chewy indicating either a poor quality or undercooking. I tried to eat the rice and salad part but the dressing just overpowered the whole dish. I left most of it after picking off the unagi. Finally, the rice was not cooked long enough or was not Japanese rice. I felt so sorry for our server. She noticed I hadn't eaten most of my dish and asked me how I like it. I just said I don't like creamy dressings and left it at that. She was so sweet but clearly knows nothing about Japanese cuisine. And her cooks know even less. If you want good Japanese food, stick with Syun Izakaya, their sister restaurant, Sawa's, or Mio Sushi. If you want to play Asian food roulette palate-wise, you might have fun here.

It's located in the Timberland Town Center and manages to perfectly balance a modern, trendy vibe with authentic, traditional flavors. Here is why it's a 5-star standout for me: The Broth (The Soul of the Bowl): I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen, and the broth was incredible--creamy, rich, and clearly simmered for hours. It has that deep, milky consistency that only comes from true craft. If you like heat, the Spicy Miso has a perfect, layered kick that doesn't just overpower your taste buds. The Noodles: They get the texture exactly right. You can choose your firmness, and they have that perfect "chew" that holds onto the broth beautifully. The "Bites": True to their name, the appetizers (bites) are not to be skipped. The Pork Gyoza are perfectly seared, but the Karaage (Japanese Fried Chicken) is the real winner--juicy on the inside and impossibly crunchy on the outside. The Chashu: The braised pork belly is melt-in-your-mouth tender. They give it a quick torch sear before serving, which adds a beautiful smoky aroma to the whole bowl. The Vibe: The restaurant is clean, sleek, and has a great energy. The staff is welcoming and incredibly fast, making it a perfect spot for a quick lunch or a cozy dinner. Pro Tip: Don't forget to add a Marinated Soft-Boiled Egg (Ajitama). They cook them to perfection here with that jammy, custard-like yolk that takes the ramen to the next level. Beaverton has a lot of food options, but Koku is easily at the top of my list for comfort food. I'll be back again and again!
