This continues to be Stilly's best sushi spot! The service sometimes can take long to get food rolling and it seems there may not be enough servers as one was attending to the entire restaurant. However the sushi here is phenomenal, have gone just about thru the entire menu and it continues to have fresh rice, fresh ingredients and delicious savory rolls. Came home to Stillwater and dropping by is a must! The prices for take out using door dash ended up being $140 plus tip. (We orders two large rolls, one small vegetarian roll, snd 2 order LS of bulgogie.) a bit expensive but they also accidentally gave us the lunch portions and we didn't get our miso soup. It's my favorite local place (we lived there for 11 years and live in KCMO now) Taste was fantastic, the price was exorbitant using door dash plus convenient fees plus tip. Very dissapointed in our Saturday night dinner. Took a friend here for a birthday dinner. Haven't been in a while but loved it last time we were there. One person taking orders, getting drinks, and cooking food. The $16 sushi roll was equivalent to a $5 roll at sprouts. The side of fried rice was one ice cream scoop size. Most of the people at dinner left still hungry. They were also out of michelobs, yum yum sauce, and sesame chicken. Very unfortunate for what used to be a great restaurant. read more

Was very disappointed in my visit tonight. I arrived and was seated next to sushi bar which was occupied by 6 or 7 college students that were loud , inconsiderate. They yelled out profanity on several occasions. The management did nothing to control these over served and rude young boys. I did finally turn to them asking them to stop the profanity. One of the boys seemed to try and get the others to calm down. Can't believe the manager did anything to control this situation. We asked to move tables get get as far as we could from these boys. Our waitress only comment was that they were almost finished and would leave soon. I should have left. I ordered this through Uber eats and the driver called to let me know Sushi house had accidentally included someone else's order in with mine but wouldn't take the food back. Ok cool free food. However when the food got here, in my actual order, they gave me chicken fried rice even though I had ordered shrimp and I don't know what sushi Roll they gave my but it definitely wasn't a California roll. It was extremely spicy and definitely had something other than shrimp in it. I'll definitely be going back to Nagoya. read more

If I could rate no stars I would. The employee heated my "fried rice" up with a butane torch, in front of me. The rice came to the tabled smelling of butane as well. Went to try it out and would not recommend. My group ordered two hibachi meals and a lo mein meal. The hibachi meals were undercooked and the filett's were inedible completely spoiled meat! Although the food is decent, the wait is absolutely not worth it! Our meal took over 2 hours and the restaurant was only about half-filled and it was around 7:30PM. We ordered their octopus legs and edamame for appetizers and this took over 30 minutes to come out. The octopus legs are also a solid 1 person serving- so don't waste your money. We actually ended up getting 2 servings of edamame over the time we were sitting there because the staff was so SLOW. Altogether, we ordered Octopus legs, edamame. 2 rolls of sushi, Fried Malaysian noodles, and the shrimp and steak hibachi. Unfortunately, both guests that ordered the shrimp and steak hibachi ended up getting an allergic reaction to it- so BEWARE! Once the dinner came out an hour and a half later, it was actually delicious. This restaurant used to be my absolute favorite place to eat when it was located Downtown but since it has moved, the service has gone down hill. The meals are extremely overpriced for the service we received and management did not come out and apologize. If you want sushi- go to the new place on 6th or Nagoya. DO NOT GO HERE. You'll eat your yourself before you actually are able to eat their food. read more

The woman kept telling me it would be "ready soon" but when she hadn't been back in 30 minutes I walked to the back and asked someone what was going on and he said he could start making my food. Not sure how to describe this place. I have been in many delicious Japanese restaurants from holes in the wall establishment to fancy expensive date night type restaurants. This one is neither. We started out with the octopus tempura appetizer which by the way our waitress had told us they didn't serve any tempuras there. I probably should have just listened to her and not order it because it was not good at all. For our entree we had the House Fried Rice which was normal delicious (just like all the other fried rice I have had in 90% of restaurants), NY Sushi Roll which was flavorless and colorless, all white and unappetizing, Beef Bulgogie that tasted nothing Korean at all but it was just as good as a stir fry dish and any random Chinese buffet and some other roll that was so meaningless I don't even remember what it was. This restaurant's menu is all over the place. It is supposed to be a Japanese restaurant but you see concoction of Kim Chi, Cajun, and Pesto dishes. Yes Pesto at a sushi place !!! If the food were delicious and well thought out, I wouldn't have cared if they mix durian with Taiwanese stinky Tofu and wrapped it in nori. Oh, and this place is not cheap either. I honestly think we might have been better off going to a Chinese buffet instead, save 50% of the money and walk out just as unsatisfied but at least our tummies would have been full. read more

I ordered a medium rare filet. The waitress brought out an over done ribeye and tried to pass it off as a filet. I sent it back because it was over cooked, she's comes back and tells me there are no more filets (obviously) and she would bring me another ribeye for no charge... we still got charged. I ate at sushi house with my parents yesterday and hands down it was the best sushi I've had in town. The chefs were very knowledgeable and made me a beautiful of sushi like I've never had before! So far the best sushi place in Stillwater. I've tried every place in town that has or makes sushi and this is the best. Prices are reasonable(good sushi isn't cheap) and although the wait time can be excessive, thinking mainly due to how busy they are and how the menu is primarily made up of sushi it can take a while which is fine just plan for it. I've never had any issues with service. The waitresses are always nice and very accommodating. Will be going back more often. read more

We ate there tonight (4/27/16). We got there at 7 PM and the first food came out at 8. Some of us got served by 8:30 and some had to wait until 9 PM to get our food. It was tasty but there is something seriously wrong with the kitchen staff. Two identical salads came out 30 minutes apart. The place was only half full so it wasn't that the room was so busy. I felt sorry for the waitress. I won't eat there again because the wait for the food is soooooooo slooooooooow!!!! read more

I'm only giving one star because the service was decent and the water was cold. The egg drop soup was the worst I've ever had. It tasted like burned imitation chicken broth and at one point the flavor reminded me of the smell that you get at the zoo in the elephant house. Not good at all. We got 4 different kinds of sushi and none were satisfying to our taste. The spicy rolls we ordered were not spicy at all, so we paid $1.50 (which is absurd) for a tiny side of their dynamite sauce. This tasted like thousand island dressing mixed with some red peppers. Should have just got the sriricha and played it safe. The rolls lacked in flavor and were truly disappointing. I have never eaten so much wasabi and ginger in one meal. I normally would be happy to pay $50 for some sushi but not here- ever. I feel completely ripped off but seeing as I did eat all of it, I didn't want to complain to get the check reduced. I'll just keep going to Tulsa for sushi. Sushi-House is staff is friendly and attentive, in my opinion they go above and beyond to make your dinning experience a pleasant one. The rolls were ok, nothing special or original. The Sashmi was fresh and nicely presented, the only issue that I had was that they didn't carry any fatty tuna(blue-fin). I'd go back there if I ever find my self in Stillwater again. Sushi house has wonderful food that is full of flavor and is fresh. The atmosphere is clean, quiet, and peaceful. Unfortunately, they are undermanned which lead to slow service for all customers. I watched others and timed my own personal service. It took 1 hour 33 minutes before I got my order. However, I will say my server Eunice was very attentive and even brought me edamame on the house for my wait. It's a successful business with good food. I feel if they could make the simple change of 3-4 rollers on the line versus 1-2, they would improve their business & receive excellent reviews in the future. This is easily the most unsatisfactory excuse for a sushi dinner that I have ever had the displeasure to consume. Truly terrible service and atrocious food. My date and I walked in on a Wednesday night with a craving for sushi. We saw a good review on Sushi House on google and decided to give it a try: I think they are trying to transform into a habatchi grill and sushi restaurant, but they have not installed the proper ventilation for this yet. The place was filled with smoke. I didn't mind it, but if you have easily induced asthma, I wouldn't go in. Our waitress took 15 minutes to come take our order, so we decided to put drinks and dinner in at once. Boy, we were glad we did that. After 30 additional minutes of waiting, we were discussing walking out when our drinks finally arrived! This place was NOT busy, so I have no idea why it took so long. By now though, this place had left a pretty bad taste in my mouth, so by the time my food finally arrived 10 more minutes later, I was not pleased. The drinks were delicious, so if you have time to wait for a cocktail, I recommend the Pink Panther or Mangotini. For the fish, go somewhere else. Generally, a bit of crunch added to sushi can be a lovely addition, however, when that crunch only comes from the undercooked rice...it tends to be disappointing. I tend to like to eat fish when I sit down in a sushi restaurant, but apparently Sushi House's idea of fish is a paper thin slice of salmon or tuna jerky laid out on top of the rice crunch rolls. Don't worry though, not all the fish came in deli slice 1 setting, the shrimp was much more heartily sliced which added a chewiness I have never experienced before on sushi. The avocado on the rainbow roll also came in large chunks, presumable because they were in a hurry to get rid of it because it already had a lovely brown hue. I have never left sushi on my plate...ever...until today. I didn't even finish half of my meal, before I was thoroughly discouraged at the idea of consuming even one more terrible bite. For $60, I am beyond unimpressed. 3 lousy excuses for rolls and 2 drinks...on the bright side, I don't have to open a stick of gum this evening. I will just keep chewing away on my rubber shrimp. read more
