We came here a few years ago when it was still COVID times and there was still social distancing going on. This (2026) is the first time we've been back and I'm not sure if the quality has gone down, or if we just liked it during COVID because our standards were lower and we were just dying to go anywhere. But this time just wasn't that great. The rolls have a lot more rice than I can remember. All the special rolls just taste the same - smothered in sauce. I did like the addition of the crispy tuna rice and yellowtail jalapeno appetizers, but those are limited to one order per person. Tuna sashimi is still unsightly pink but again, tasted fine. The white tuna had some weird cooked outer layer, which I didn't even notice until my husband pointed it out, so makes me think that it's about to go bad or something. Service was not good. We were seated in a corner booth and would be ignored the whole time. No one would come to check in on us to see if we needed anything or wanted to order more items. So whenever we did want to order, I would have to get up and hand them the paper myself. I was hoping this could be our go-to AYCE sushi spot since we like the spots that serve sashimi, which are few and far between now. *Sigh*, I guess the search continues. read more

Great spot for AYCE sushi. There's parking in the back as well as street parking across the street. My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday night and was seated immediately. One of the better ayce sushi locations in the area, by far. The rice is soft and fluffy and does not suffocate the roll like most places do in hope you'll fill up on the carbs. In the mood for sashimi instead? Their thick cuts will make you feel like you've gotten your money's worth quickly. Very disappointing and a scam, do not go for the "all you can eat" sushi. They prominently display the phrase, "all you can eat" but it's untrue and unfortunately, you don't realize it's a scam until you're seated and they tell you that more than a few items of sushi are restricted; furthermore, each item only has a single piece of sushi, which is definitely not a common practice. I cannot comment on the food because all we had was salad and soup before leaving. You're much better off going elsewhere as this place is likely to cost just as much, if not more. Monday - Thursday $27.99 and Friday -Sunday including holidays is $29.99 for all you can eat. The place is BYOB. They open your bottles for you and provide glasses. We brought wine. We ordered calamari, miso soup, gyoza, and rock shrimp for apps. Everything was good especially the miso soup. Take note that 1 order brings two pieces of whatever app you order so order accordingly. We spaced out ordering our apps and sushi to ensure we finished the apps and had the plates removed prior to getting the sushi. This worked out perfectly since they provide fast service and all of the plates would not have fit on the table at once. They have a good selection of apps and sushi and they even have dessert. I had the chocolate ice cream which was good and everyone else had fried oreos which they did mention they wished had more batter but they ate them. We sat down and we we were ready to order they told us we couldn't order from the lunch menu since it's a holiday... i could understand if it was Valentine's Day or Christmas but it's Presidents' Day. So you can order 50 chicken wings in a 90 hour period. 50 Red Hot Dragon, Bergen County, and Spicy Bomb rolls. It just has to be in 90 minutes. We went with a variety of sashimi and nigiri. We also had to add in a few special rolls. We did try things off the kitchen menu but was way more of a fan of the sushi. The service was alright. One of the better all you can eat sushi places. I love sushi but most all you can say places have zero or limited sashimi options. Plus most special roll as are tempura or deep fried. Sushi house has so many different sashimi options and everything looks and tastes fresh. Their special rolls are light and flavorful so you get to try a few without being overly full. Add us to the list. Of haters. This was simply awful. Having eaten here maybe 15 years ago (mildly disappointed back then), we figured we'd give it another shot as there's newer management. It's now even worse. With any AYCE sushi you know you're not gonna get Nobu omakase quality, but this food was tasteless, top to bottom. From the fake Kani salad, to the greasy fried gyoza, shumai, and calamari, the misses just kept on comin'. The sushi and sashimi were completely devoid of flavor. Not just one or two clunkers...every piece. Tuna, salmon, yellowtail, snapper...paltry slices of blahhh. And the rice??? Biggest-grain white rice I've ever encountered in a sushi restaurant (huge globs of it -- made the nigiri sushi and rolls look like they were on steroids), and NONE of the familiar vinegary-sesame taste. We tried to salvage SOMETHING for dinner...unwrapping the rolls and lifting the fish out; you can imagine what THAT looked like -- an unholy mess leaving piles of rice. I mention this for a reason. When I called for the check, I gently apologized to the waitress (a lovely masked young woman who barely spoke) for the detritus left on our platter, telling her that unfortunately, we couldn't eat another bite of such bad food (as well as letting her know that 2 items from our written order never arrived). When she came with our check, she informed us that next time we'd be charged extra $ if we left so much. After I picked my jaw up off the table and popped my eyeballs back into their sockets, I gently repeated that the food was left there because it was BAD. My experience is that, usually, a restaurant will try to make nice with an unhappy customer. Not here. Rather, she doubled down, with mean spirit from management on top of a bad time. The waitress returned with my card and the bill to sign, and REPEATED that her boss said that if we leave so much next time, we will be charged. WTF??? I had to slowly restate that THE...FOOD...WAS...BAD, adding that a surcharge for not choking down bad food was utterly outrageous, if not unhealthy. I added I'd be happy to tell her boss face-to-face. Nah, never happened. Y'all just have to trust me that it was THAT bad. I know I risk getting flamed for objecting to the "order all you want, eat all you order" thing, but truth: this stuff sucked. Do yourself a favor and avoid this ripoff joint. We were so excited when we saw a sign saying Sushi Village was opening up right here in Teaneck! We frequent Sushi Village of Westwood so obviously we were so happy to know that one was opening up right down the street from where we live. The one and only thing that drew me into this business was that it's another Sushi Village and since we love it so much there, we were happy to become regulars at this new location. This is your standard all you can eat, made to order sushi for a certain price. We went for dinner tonight and paid 22.99 each for AYCE sushi. It was great! We enjoyed everything we ordered. Everything was very fresh. All the hot appetizers from the kitchen actually came out hot and crunchy. I wish I had taken pictures of all the food. It was presented beautifully. I feel they could offer more variety from both the kitchen and sushi. For example, some fried rice or noodles, or more variety in the special rolls for sushi. What we did order was very good though, to a point where we ordered all the same stuff the second time around. We ordered green tea ice cream and fried Oreos for dessert. The fried Oreo wasn't much of your typical fried Oreo in a pancake like batter, as it was hardly coated in anything at all. It was just dipped in some tempura and fried very lightly.
