    Vegetarian sushi
    Mayur B.

I walked in looking to see if they had a lunch special. They do not, unfortunately. But they do have a 2 or 3 roll special. I went with that. I got a vegetarian roll and an AAC roll (avacodo, asparagus and cucumber). The vegetarian one was supposed to have a raddish in it but I didn't see or taste a difference. I also saw the Boba tea flyer and decided to get that too. I got the Taro one per the recommendation of the staff. I was glad I tried it since it was nice sweet and refreshing. They play some chill jazz music and serve your sushi on a cool wooden platform. They also threw in a small miss soup. Wish they had more variety for the vegetarian options and should consider adding a lunch special.

GEM ALERT! I have been here several times but this may have been the best one yet (all were good experiences to be clear). I ordered the Fire Cracker Roll and the Cani Crunch Roll which are part of the two roll lunch special. It came with miso soup. I got fried veggie dumplings and edemame on the house. Both were very good and a kind gesture. My rolls came out on a cute wooden boat. A+ on presentation. The server was a very nice lady who was attentive. She checked on me to make sure everything was going well. It was. Lastly, I ordered the ginger tea which was very good. If you are in the area and like fresh sushi, stop in. It's a great lunch place as the service is quick. I will continue to support this establishment in the future.

Great spot for dine in or take out with ample parking. Take out was neatly packaged with all the extras. Sushi and miso soup were fresh and delicious. They have an excellent variety, all reasonably priced. Kame has found a new regular- me!

Friendly customer service goes a long way and that's what gets this review 3 stars. The employees were enthusiastic and warm as soon as I walked in to pick up my order. They also threw in a miso soup, fried vegetable gyoza, and lollipop on the house, which I really really appreciated. Unfortunately, the sushi was below average. I really wanted to like it based on the stellar reviews and because they were so kind...... But it truly left much to be desired. I ordered the 3 regular roll combo (~$18): Crab Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll, and Eel Avocado Roll. *There was way too much rice on the rolls. *The rice was so soggy and mushy. Not sure if it's because it was undercooked or because they used too much vinegar... *Rice was too sour and tangy. *Fish was not that fresh or flavorful. *They used very little portions of eel and salmon... there was too much avocado and cucumber. *There was too much of the spicy sauce on the crab and salmon rolls. It overpowered everything. Overall, a very off-putting sushi meal. I didn't even finish my rolls and this is coming from someone who is a sushi enthusiast.

    $200 of horrible gross sushi

The worst sushi I have ever had. We ordered 6 rolls they were all a disaster. $200 worthless food. It was a hot mushi mess, tasteless and now fresh at all. The chicken teriyaki tasted like boil chicken with soil sauce, no flavor. We mentioned to the waitress the food was not good and she said too bad. The sushi was nothing like the pictures. A bunch of rice fish and an exaggeration of sauces. Honestly it looked like dog food.

Rising Sun roll but they left out the avocado

Came across this place while I was ordering DoorDash. I was in the mood for a special type of roll and looking through the pictures I went with the Rising Sun roll and they also ordered buy one, get one on the fried vegetable Gyoza so I also went with that. The Gyoza were packed perfectly and arrived very hot and crispy which is something you don't see very often. The roll, while it was really good, paled in comparison to the photo online and did not even have any avocado inside or outside. They also sent a small container of what I believe is miso soup for free however I don't eat that so it was a waste. Prices were reasonable for what I got. I would go back again.

Good food and nice people good service ..... ............ and very kind for my kids ambiance ...

Awesome! Rolls! I went to Kame Sushi yesterday with a few friends and had an amazing experience! All the rolls were absolutely delicious! Two thumbs up - flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staffs were very friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt both relaxed and refined. I enjoyed it so much that I'm already planning to come back with my family, including my kids. Highly recommended for both a night out with friends and a nice family dinner! Most importantly, the price was just right--great quality without being overpriced.

8/6/24 Wanted Sushi and had just saw this the other day when we went to the bagel shop next door. Cute little space with about 6-7 tables. We got 3 special rolls: Double Salmon - can never go wrong with salmon :) Sushi Cafe Roll - Eel, Crab, Avocado, Cucumber topped with Salmon and teriyaki sauce - on so good Amazing Scallop Roll - Shrimp Tempura, Crab, Avocado, Cucumber, topped with buttered garlic scallops - OMG must have! So good Bowl of miso soup was very salty and didn't have much seaweed or tofu, will skip next time. Honey Ginger Tea was yummy, something i will get again especially if it's cold outside. I had to wait for it to cool down since it was hot outside lol Service was wonderful, she checked on us through out our meal to make sure everything was ok.

Nice little place! In this unassuming little sushi place, you'll find delicious sushi and such friendly service! I loved my experience here. The waitress was so kind and attentive and the sushi tasted fresh and yummy! The portions were big too and well worth the prices. The bubble tea was okay, it's actually a bubble tea slushy which I didn't realize. All-in-all, I definitely will return. Especially since the prices are very fair and I feel like I'm getting my money's worth for the quality/taste. Thank you KaMe!

Had the best boba. The employees were super nice they gave lollipops for kids and some free chocolate i recommend. The lady at the cashier is very talkative and nice. i recommend this place.

    E. Chirashi

I Ordered Chirashi. It is not worthy. The description has avocado, but I didn't see it. The rice is not shushi rice, no taste. Some rice is hard. The fish are not in good quality. The fish tastes bitter.

Bottom left- shrimp tempura roll (fam fav), mama papa roll with extra cream cheese (my fav), lobster roll, dragon roll and California roll.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by the staff and got an empty table by the window inside their cozy and inviting vibe. Their menu features a wide selection of ramen, curry, and appetizers. I decided on their newest edition--Wonton Ramen and 3 pieces of Fried Chicken. The savory ramen soup was filled with shrimp wontons. Even though they were very thin wonton wrappers with a smaller amount of filling, they tasted consistent with other shrimp wontons from past restaurants, accompanied by Menma Bamboo, Scallions, and Egg. The Fried Chicken was well seasoned. The food overall remained authentic and incredibly flavorful and on point. The portion was very generous. Friendly service, and the price was reasonable. Make sure one comes on an empty stomach.

So when an opportunity came up to meet in the vicinity of this restaurant, I brought myself and two guests to experience the poke in person. It did not disappoint! Nestled among a smaller shops in a strip mall off of Market Street (off of North 5th Street), Waikiki Poke & Ramen is a place definitely worth stopping by. There's ample parking in the surrounding area of the strip mall so it's a small walk towards the restaurant. Once you enter you are greeted with an Instagram-able wall, with various colored posted that guests can write and post messages. It was fun reading through them and leaving some as well in the end. The restaurant is small, quaint, and cafeteria style, the counter where the Poké bowl ingredients are visible is well organized and clean. A nice selection of Japanese teas and other drinks are available to enjoy with the meal as well as bottled water. The price is on point for Poké bowl of their size and the Sashimi-ed raw fish, and the vegetables were all fresh and delicious! My guests enjoyed it well. I was so excited to visit the place then I couldn't help myself by letting them know how much I enjoy their food and how many times I've ordered online. I wasn't sure if they understood me because they didn't seem very interested? In any case I still enjoy the food, but I think it might be better to just order it online for me as it is quite a far distance for me to drive to enjoy it in person. Overall, we were able to enjoy our meal slowly as we had much catching up to do.. The shop was not particularly busy during its lunch hour so the food was ready quite quickly, which was impressive. I would rate this as 5.0 for the food but 4.5 for the customer experience aspect. It is a recommendation that they at least acknowledge or interact with people who expresses positively for enjoying their food. Because this is not an open food court situation and it is in a restaurant even after you paid for the food and sat down and eat it it would be nice for them to also interact in some capacity just felt a bit standoffish in my opinion.

My dining partner and I were seated rather quickly. Our server took our drink orders and came back promptly so we could order our food. The menu is pretty extensive but we ordered an assortment of skewers and a bowl of ramen to share. The skewers came out little by little; about 3 skewers per plate. They didn't come all at once so I assume they bring them out as they finish getting grilled. The chicken heart was some of the best I've ever had. I'm not sure if it's the way it was sliced, the seasoning, or just everything about it but I wish we ordered more. The tail skewer was another standout. It had so much crunch that it was almost like it was fried. The flavors were rich and varied. Each skewer cost upwards of $4 so that's a bummer. Unfortunately the ramen wasn't so great. Not terrible, but not great either. Especially not great for $19. Not my first choice for ramen. Is it the most bang for your buck? Certainly not. But I did enjoy my meal and in the end, that's what matters.

The dining area is in rough shape -- cracked wood, dusty interior, and a generally run-down vibe that makes it feel borderline dirty rather than "casual." Service was also frustrating. Our servers couldn't answer basic questions about the menu, which is already hard to follow if you're not familiar with Japanese terms. It left us feeling lost rather than guided. On top of that, the pricing is steep for the suburbs -- $5-$8 per skewer adds up really quickly, and it just didn't feel worth it given the atmosphere and service. All the yakitori was decent but nothing mind blowing, smaller servings and overly salty. To make matters worse, the tap water was awful -- honestly undrinkable. Look at my picture I'm shocked they thought this was acceptable to bring to our table. The food itself may be authentic, but everything else about the experience dragged it down. Unfortunately, not somewhere I'd come back to.
