This was my first time at Sushi Iwa, and it was a great experience. The restaurant was clean and spacious. Their menu is a binder that has pictures of each dish, which is extremely helpful. I had their Beef Lo Mein, and it was the best Lo Mein I have ever eaten (and I have had lots)! There were bits of beef that were crispy around the edges (in the best way), and the flavor was amazing! Based on this first experience, I would return here again.

Sushi Iwa at 2026 Creekside Landing Dr, Apex won us over from the momeent we walked in. The Fried Rice arrived steaming, every grain kissed with flavor, and the Orange Chicken struck that perfect sweet-savory balance that makes you pause between bites just to appreciate it. The sushi portions were generous. Each roll a full, satisfying meal on its own. Landon, our server, couldn't have been kinder. He guided us through our options, knowing we were first timers. By the end, we felt both full and looked after. We'll be back for sure.

I had pad thai and miso soup both of which were delicious! The service was great! The waitress was kind and friendly. Little to no wait time. Overall great option for dinner!

Was able to try out Sushi Iwa in Apex for the first time and there were two rolls that I loved. First one was the "ROCK N ROLL" which had salmon, avocado, tempura flakes and spicy mayonnaise, topped with salmon, jalapeno and wasabi miso sauce. Second one was the "CHERISH U" which had spicy tuna and avocado, topped with salmon. Also had their yellow curry. The broth was delicious but would hold the onions next time if it's an option. Their rolls were BOGO which is always a plus when quality isn't sacrificed! Food came out quick and our server was super sweet. Overall will be back!

As a Californian, I didn't expect the sushi in NC to be soooo good but sushi iwa beat my expectations. My family and I got takeout and we had a little bit of everything, and everything was delicious. The staff at pickup was super sweet and the inside of the restaurant smelled amazing. Excited to come back next time I visit Apex!

Came here for a special evening out and this was a great place to celebrate. The food was delicious and the service was really good. We had a lot of sushi, dumplings, and egg rolls and nothing was disappointment. Very nice ambiance as well in the restaurant.

Stopped here to try the buy one sushi roll and get one roll free. But I wasn't impressed or satisfied with the sushi. Our small plates and dishes for soy sauce were not clean and it bothered me that the person putting this on the table didn't notice. Once another bowl was brought to replace the other, again not clean. We started with an order of crab Rangoon's and these were hot and crispy. I did like these. The two types of sushi we ordered were just not that great and we didn't finish the order. I didn't get that much flavor or feel the sushi was super fresh. The place was so busy I had to flag down someone to ask for our check.

Lunch sushi and sashimi is full of variety and flavors. The Seaweed Salad is fresh and crispy lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, and plenty of Seaweed with ginger dressing. The steamy hot sweet and sour soup is packed with many flavors, tofu, mushrooms, and umami tastes is very warming and satisfying.

Classy dining area. Service was really good, food came out fast. We ordered the chef Q, fantasy eel, forever young, and rock and roll. In order of tastiest to least, it was forever young, rock and roll, and fantasy eel/chef Q. Their ginger ale is also surprisingly good!

Omg!!!! I am always left impressed when a restaurant has great vegetarian sushi options and Sushi Iwa did not disappoint. We tried the miso soup and it was divine. We also ordered the drunken noodles with tofu and egg with a side salad, pretty in pink sushi and the super veggies sushi. The pretty pink was too good. It had crunchy nuts and sweet potato inside. The super veggies one was a bit spicy for me because of the jalapeño, but it was delicious regardless. The drunken noodles were my second favorite. Them came loaded with tofu and eggs which was a plus. The salad with the house ginger dressing offered a perfect balance with the other dishes. Loved the food and such a great casual place to grab Asian food. The ambience is very simple, but the food totally slaps!

Sushi Iwa roll & can't remember the 2nd one. Also Panag Curry.

We have been here many times and always enjoy it. Looks like they did a small renovation as soon as you walk in. It looks nice. We were seated within 2 minutes. Had some sushi and Thia food tonight. Both were delicious. Will definitely be back. Sushi is always B.O.G.O. Their sushi selection is nice. They also have many different choice for other Asian food as well. Check this place out.

My wife and I booked a reservation for 5:30 PM, and the booking system was a little strange. First, you have to wait for the restaurant to confirm your reservation, so you're basically just submitting a request. Also, there's an "Assignments" selection in the reservation form which has a possible value of 1, 2, or 3. No idea what it means so I left it blank. Then, the next day, we received a curt text telling us that our reservation was confirmed and that they would only hold our table for 5 minutes. I mean, geez, I get it, but how hard is it to say "Thank you for dining with us!" or something to that effect? Not a huge deal, obviously, but kind of funny :) Our server did a pretty good job throughout the meal. The food was prepared quickly and it was very good! My two sushi rolls were very tasty, and my wife's sashimi was definitely fresh. Because we ate there in the late afternoon, there were also some happy hour specials that I appreciated ($13 for any specialty roll, and $6 for certain beers). The beer selection wasn't bad at all, and of course they had sake as well. Overall, we had a really good time at Sushi Suyu and would definitely come back!

I did not care for sushi because I was there for Ramen. Besides, they have a vegetarian Ramen is what I was looking for, my daughter ordered a teriyaki Ramen. My vegetarian Ramen had a lot of tempura in it, which defeated the purpose a little bit for me because it was a little oily. The taste was more or less like a red curry and there was very less vegetables mostly it was sweet corn and one or two bok choy on the other hand my teen, who is very hard to please loved the teriyaki Raman and is already planning to go back this weekend to try the other ones , all in all I gave this place a four star because the umami of the Ramen was very comforting, even though I did not like the taste much

The boys went with miso soup, which was flavorful but came out lava hot. Like, ice-cube-required hot. Tasty, but proceed with caution if you have kids. For sushi, we kept it simple and solid with a mix of one classic and two specialty rolls: Spicy Tuna, Phoenix, and the Crunchy Roll. All were fresh, well-made, and hit the spot. They had the perfect char on the dumpling without making it too seared. The Sashimi plate was incredible, each piece of fish melted in your mouth. Crispy Salmon Roll was light and refreshing and their Rainbow Roll was like no other I've had. Holy!! We had expectations from all of the recommendations, but what a complete disappointment…read more First let's start with the only positive-- the waitress and her service was perfect. She was so kind and was the absolute best part of our visit. She gave a range recommendations, very professional, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the meal. We are coming from the Irvine, CA area so we VERY familiar with top tier Asian food and possibly that impacted our standards vs others in the review section. Now on to the rest, there were so many flies that I ended up having to smash them on the window with a napkin--just gross! Then, my son's food was not flavored well at all and had HAIR in his noodles! The Pad Thai was really bad! It was a lighter color first of all, so maybe they added an ingredient that isn't standard in traditional Pad Thai, but it did not make it better at all; I could barely stomach it. Then, there was a huge egg shell in the dish that somehow the cook let come out and served to us. The sweet and sour chicken portion was outrageously small for a dinner portion, and the dish was smothered with sauce but somehow the chicken was dry as if it was day old or several days old chicken. The cashew chicken, the same, dry chicken that was being covered up with the sauce and we had to chew a great deal. The sweet tea, it just tasted like they put a bunch of sugar packets in and was worse than a McDonald's sweet tea. Their white rice was not moist at all and we could've just done without it. Out of the sushi we ordered, the spicy tuna was good, but the rest was grocery store quality sushi and extremely small portion. In my opinion, people rave about this place because it is 'different' and plays into an upscale restaurant as you can see with their overpriced items. This place doesn't hold a candle to shopping center Thai fusion in California. I have lived in many states and am not a snotty Californian, but man oh man I can tell you this one is a fail. The only star for this visit goes to the waitress (she was a 5) but if I could give this a zero for the food, I would. Don't waste your time or money.

Not this month, not just sushi, not just in NC...but one of the top meals of all time anywhere. We had the Grand Omakase, which came out to 10 courses in total. I won't go into detail on each and every course, but let's just say that each and every course was of the highest quality fish, sushi or meat we've had anywhere. From the sushi flown out straight from Japan, to the beluga caviar and A5 Wagyu, and everything in between. We've had sushi across the nation and overseas, 100s of times. This has taken the top #1 spot out of all of them, especially with what we were served in the Grand Omakase package. Impeccable service, 8 sushi chefs all working efficiently at once in an open style sushi kitchen, all within a classy (but not pretentious by any means) establishment.
