We were seated quickly upon arrival and provided with water and menus, which we appreciated. After being seated, however, it took approximately 15 minutes before our server acknowledged us. We were understanding, as the restaurant was busy, but unfortunately the service remained slow and inattentive throughout the meal, even as neighboring tables appeared to be receiving much more timely service. Not once during our visit were we asked if we wanted any beverages beyond water, so our entire party drank only water throughout the meal. When our sushi arrived, we initially enjoyed our food. However, while eating, I suddenly felt something sharp in my mouth. It turned out to be what appeared to be a fish bone, which cut my lower gum. This was not severe by any means but did make the rest of the meal uncomfortable as I was nervous to cut my gum again. Unfortunately, the issue did not stop there. Over the course of the meal, all four members of our party found either fish bones or fish scales in their sushi. I have eaten sushi my entire life and have never experienced anything like this before. We tried to be understanding and simply removed the pieces we found and continued eating. However, after every person at our table encountered the same issue--and after I was actually injured--my husband felt it was appropriate to politely mention it to the server while our dishes were being cleared. His comment was simply: "Just a heads up, we all found bones or scales in our sushi." The server's response was surprising and disappointing. He replied, "Yeah, well there are bones in fish, so that's why we have teeth, to chew them up extra hard," and then immediately walked away. While mistakes can happen in any restaurant, the dismissive response to a legitimate concern was what truly left a negative impression. Between the poor service, the quality issues with the food, and the unprofessional handling of customer feedback, the experience was both disappointing and bizarre. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. There are several excellent sushi restaurants in the area, and I would recommend saving your time and money and visiting one of those instead such as Wasabi, just down the street. I honestly didn't know what to expect and not even how to order in a all you can eat sushi restaurant but the staff was very friendly and helpful and they explained in detail the menu, their recommendations and encouraged us to pick the all you can eat option since this is the most cost effective way to do it. For $31/person you can just keep the rolls coming and you have so much to choose from. Appetizers, soup, rolls, different types of fish , you name it and they will deliver. They do caution you to order a few things, eat, order more because they don't want you to be wasteful. All in all great deal. I did enjoy the vibe of the restaurant and the options it offered. We finished off with a small serving of ice cream and felt satisfied without overeating too much. They do also have cocktails that are very affordable as well as a regular menu if the all you can eat is not up your alley. First all you can eat sushi place I tried in Denver! This location is right in Lakewood but by the looks of their website, there's a few around Denver. For $30 we got 2 nigiri, 2 chicken appetizers, and 6 rolls of sushi -- sooooo worth it! Quality of the sushi isn't up to par with temaki den or sushi den of course but service and food comes out super quickly and your meal comes with ice cream. I think we were in and out in like 40 min total it was so fast. Solved my sushi craving for extremely cheap and loved how they had basic rolls, special rolls, nigiri, and tons of non sushi apps! So I ordered delivery from Sushi Katsu to try them out last night. The food was good, I'd definitely get it again. I appreciated them including the soup and salad as a lot of restaurants are trying to cheap out nowadays. But, it was the little extra effort of putting the orange slice in and adding the flower that shows they care how their food is presented to their customer that made me write this review. This is an absolutely beautiful and unique sushi restaurant. The decor and artwork are both attractive and fun. Someone really cares and went all out to make this place look great. The service was exceptional and we never wanted for anything. We ordered the all you can eat sushi dinner and it was worth every cent. The "lady in red" roll might be the best sushi I've ever had. We ate half a dozen different choices and the food just kept coming. We absolutely got our monies worth at this place. The chilled sake was tasty as was the Japanese beer we ordered. They even gave us a complementary cup of ice cream that really finished the meal up really well. I had chocolate and my wife had strawberry. So I've been going to Sushi Katsu pretty frequently for the past couple years... Of course the obvious thing to compliment is the deal for the all you can eat which is incredible. I would keep coming back for that deal even if everything else went to the wayside. What I didn't expect is that over the couple years, the incredible staff they have managed to find in this giant city of servers is out of this world. They of course, are doing their job to the tens, but the spirit and heart they show me consistently and the comfort they allow me to have on certain days where I may not be my best self is something that should be studied. You don't find out that it's all you can eat until you pull into the parking lot. The cost of the all you can eat isn't published on any of the menus and trying to get someone to tell you was a long process. Neither myself or my guest would eat $31 in sushi (at least here) and asked for a menu. The "real" menu shows seriously inflated sushi prices and the prices for the other entrees were higher than what I pay at other local places. When we finally were able to order off the regular sushi menu it wasn't great. The tuna rolls were made with a sub-par tuna that was chewy (didn't finish that), the tempura roll had one little steamed shrimp in it and a ton of dry rice and the krab from California rolls (didn't finish that either) and the Philadelphia roll had a piece of cream cheese that was so small that I thought it was Miso tofu, tons of rice, cucumbers and more of the Krab. Philadelphia rolls are supposed to be cream cheese, smoked salmon and rice. Both the tempura and the Philadelphia were so big you had to cut it in half, but only with chop sticks bc we couldn't get much attention. I think they focus on the all you can eat. There was quite a crowd, so obviously I may be in the minority. The music was really loud and it was hard to have a conversation. read more

I am thrilled I found this place. I decided to stop by on a Friday night. I thought I would have to wait, but they worked me right in. Honestly had a really good experience here when i went with my boyfriend and a friend. This was my first time doing all you can eat sushi and to be honest was slightly nervous. They had a lot of sushi options and we were so hungry and ready to eat all we could eat. We got the crab stuffed fried jalapeños and they were so crispy and savory. My boyfriend LOVED them as he's a jalapeño fanatic. We got all different kinds of sushi and honestly all of them tasted pretty fresh. We decided to get some sake to go with it and we each got a different flavor bottle and shared them and it was fun! Sushi Katsu is known for their all-you-can-eat sushi option for lunch or dinner!
