We were really pleasantly surprised with this scoop Chinese food restaurant in a small strip mall shopping center. The restaurant is much larger on the inside than it appears from the outside with plenty of seating of all sizes groups. It has 4 person booths and tables arranged for smaller and larger parties. However parking is limited in this small shopping area and can be congested. We were warmly greeted and didn't have to wait in line on a Friday afternoon for a late lunch. The restaurant is renovated with some nice modern finishes. This is a counter service style restaurant with a large to-go and meal pickup clientele. Most of the people who went into the restaurant were doing picking up orders. There was only one other group seated while we were there so it was quiet with one TV mounted on the wall. I ordered 2 scoops with egg fired rice and a BBQ pork. My partner ordered Lo mein noodles and a protein. We also got some Chinese donuts and an order of egg rolls. Ok total our lunch was under $20. If you are going to order just be aware there is a $5 minimum for credit card orders. We forgot to order drinks and had to use cash to get drinks in a separate transaction. They have tall boy cans of Arizona drinks. We had the Mango and Watermelon drinks. They also have fountain drinks, water and several other can options. The food was surprisingly good. The meat was tender and flavorful. The rice was good though a little dry. The lo mein noodles were a little bland and a lot like spaghetti noodles. The egg rolls are huge and have a crispy exterior but the interior egg roll wrap was undercooked and doughy. It was like they wrapped two egg roll wrappers around each egg roll so the outer wrap got crispy but the interior one did not cook all the way through. The soup was a little bland, if you can buy a serving of spicy oil as a side it would make it better. The Chinese donuts were perfectly cooked and delicious. The portion sizes are huge! We had so much food left over it made for a great lunch the next day. We will definitely go back. We will definitely come back. read more

I've been coming here for years and everytime the food has been good, the staff are nice to me and don't judge me for my order of sesame chicken and steamed rice, no "ugh seriously?" Or "go fuck yourself, we're not making you the rice" here, it's always "could you wait a few minutes?" Ordered some food from Uber eats so I was expecting it to be a little sub par, but what we received was absolutely disgusting. Got the orange chicken, lo mein, and egg drop soup and everything was completely tasteless. Also had cheese Rangoons and vegetable rolls, but talked and the vegetable rolls was basically mush on the inside. Spent 36 dollars on food, and we couldn't even stomach eating any of it, such a waste. Do yourselves a favor and stop giving this place service so they can go out of business, at least this way customers looking for an even halfway decent meal won't have to eat the garbage they're dishing out. read more

Ordered takeout -- I'm not sure if it was the particular day we ordered but the food was very bland. The noodles tasted buttery, but not flavorful like I've usually had -- they were also very watery. The meat was soggy, uninspiring, and am confident they used the wrong sauce than what was ordered. I did order the egg rolls and they were the miniature kind and very good. Other than that, there wasn't much more to take away from this place. Based on the reviews, this had to have just been a bad day for the kitchen. This is my favorite Chinese scoop place around the area. Good prices and fresh food (during the right time of day). They sell party trays for about $25 which is pretty good. I ordered some for my sons birthday party coming up this weekend. They have chow fun noodles and sweet and spicy wings which seem pretty unique to this place. I also like the honey chicken and BBQ chicken. I would definitely recommend coming here if you are wanting cheap, quick, and good Chinese food. This is probably fine if you don't mind bland, under seasoned food. The sesame chicken is essentially orange chicken with sesame seeds on it. The vegetable fried rice somehow came with unseasoned, rubbery beef and chicken. The crab wontons were soggy and the dumplings were dry and came with no sauce. AND! This must be the top of the Line when it comes to the Restuarants in the Dollar A Scoop Line. Ample Seating and Parking. Has a Flat Screen Tv inside. And The Line Table has expansive menu items. Glass Noodles at A Dollar A Scoop restaurant?? Who Does that? My Noodles were fresh and delicious and not greasy. The Beef with Broccoli had huge chunks of beef. The Sesame chicken was great. Better than Ive ever experienced at other places. Also Orange chicken is on the menu. Have a Soda machine not sure if its working. Watered down soup. I think that is the biggest indicator of how far the standards have fallen. Both the hot and sour soup, and the egg drop, had no taste and were as thin as water. I don't think I've ever seen any place do that with their standard all-the-same kind. The sesame chicken was dry, crunchy and chewy altogether. So was the honey chicken. The mushroom chicken was soggy despite the fact it was fresh from the back, and the lo mein had no taste. Feeling pressure, I decide to get a small box of white rice with lo mien, sesame chicken and a large drink, with the total being $9.00. Cheap, I say to my self. The place is simple, with a small water fountain on a table next to a Buddha Statue, plain walls, no music at all, and the people who serves your plate screaming at the cooks that they need more "damn rice". The taste of the sesame chicken was missing (didn't taste like chicken) and the texture was so chewy that I though for a second that I had a piece of gum in my mouth. The noodles on the other hand were well cooked except for the broccoli, that had an awful raw taste, nothing compared to the well cooked broccoli that my mom makes. By far THE BEST CHINESE RESTAURANT IN COLORADO. Huge scoops for only 1.35. I have tried almost everything they have and it is all really good. Real meat, not cheap fatty chewy junk. We have fed this to many people we have had over for dinner and they all have loved it too. It is way better than all the regular Chinese restaurants around.
