Great all you can eat sushi spot! We go here once a week for all you can eat and it's consistently very good with incredible quality and care in all the sushi rolls. The staff are incredibly friendly. It's BYOB which is great too. Everyone we've taken here makes it their "go-to" sushi spot. If i had to nit pick anything, it would be the decor. I really wanted to love this place. Not so much. I mean I like it, and it had good food, but there were many random and slightly shady things. Let's begin at the beginning. The restaurant is in a shopping center, not particularly unusual for a NJ suburb. You walk in, and it looks like a traditional Asian-style restaurant, and the music is low in the background, very peaceful. There are two menus, one for the all you can eat option which is 23.00 per person, and the other which is regular. My husband and I, like idiots, did the all you can eat version, and let me tell you, we couldn't eat it all. However there was a caveat on the menu which was upsetting saying if you didn't eat any of the fish you had to pay extra for it. I'm like, wtf, you are already getting 23.00 of my money, so really? I have to feel pressured to be a glutton? Oy. The waitresses were Chinese, slightly flighty, but perfectly capable. The rolls were waay overstuffed with rice. It's like they were chubby rolls. It kind of diminished what was actually inside the roll. The chefs were pretty quick, but the waitresses couldn't keep up, and service lagged significantly. I had a Spicy Salmon Handroll that was superb, and a salmon skin, cream cheese and avocado roll that was wonderful as well. The fish was very fresh. Would I come back? Very good sushi! First "all you can eat" sushi restaurant that I had ever been to, so my friend had to fill me in on how you must finish everything that you order. All the food was very fresh and delicious. I suggest you go there with a big appetite because if you can't eat a lot of sushi then it's probably best you pay by the piece or by the roll. The restaurant is BYO, I brought a bottle of wine with me so I'm not sure if they serve alcohol there. The family seated next to me (YES, I said FAMILY 2 adults and their children) had brought a BOTTLE OF PATRON with them, and were doing shots.... um, who does that? LOL.... Writing this as I'm sitting here. Do NOT make the same mistake I made & rely on these other reviews. There is ONE gentleman seating, answering phones, serving, taking orders, serving, and re-filling your drinks. It took us 15 minutes to be seated and ONE hour to be served a VERY disappointing meal. The rolls are small and the crab and tuna were disgusting. I've never seen such a horrible food presentation. The guy forgot half my order and gave us rolls we did not ask for. The service is HORRIBLE. It is $25 a person, and that does not include dessert or a kitchen menu, like other local sushi restaurants. To make everything worse, the server also spilled some type of teriyaki sauce all over my jacket and walked away. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT COME HERE. I love this place and have been coming here for years. Excellent sushi and affordable for the quality. Everyone I've taken here has raved about it. Try the salmon teriyaki, udon or ANY and all the sushi. My bf is obsessed. Their lunch specials are a good deal too. Also, the people here are very sweet and accommodating. Surprised at some of the bad reviews. What kind of asshole complains about a waitress having an accent? Everyone here speaks English. It's also not dirty in the slightest and there are no bugs. I always think it's weird when people claim they "know" sushi. Especially because Kazuki's sushi is great and it's always packed. And yeah of course there's going to be a wait sometimes. Been going here for years for AYCE sushi. Great/friendly staff and service is exceptional when not packed. Pretty good (and fresh) fish to sushi proportion in the regular and spicy rolls. I was surprised that the price was higher then other all you can eat restaurants in the area , and they didnt offer sashimi, or dessert for that price. I just took a look at the previous review details and see than many others have rated this place as I have. Apparently Rivervale is not the place for Japanese food. Kuzuki mailed a coupon to my house that says either Free Edamame or $5 off a purchase of $50 or more. Coupon cannot be combined. Our bill before taxes was $51 so we handed in the coupon. We were told sorry coupon is for delivery or takeout only. IT SAYS that no where on the coupon. We asked for the manager who then said you cannot combine coupons. I said how are we combining. Her response was you had "All you can eat". All you can eat was a menu they handed us when we walked in. The waiter pushed all you can eat on us when he saw we were ordering 5 rolls between us. How is a waiting pushing an you can eat menu a coupon. I still don't understand. The waiter told us coupon is for delivery/takeout only... SUCH A SCAM! GO to Hanami in Westwood... its worth the extra money..the sushi is better and NO SCAMS! Even after complaining they did nothing other then wait for the credit card.. Excellent sushi and traditional Japanese dishes for non-sushi eaters. My wife loved the salmon terriyaki and is amzed at the large portions served. Delicious tempura and noodle dishes too. All-you-can-eat sushi is a great deal: soup, salad, appetizers, and good variety of made to order sushi including fancy rolls. Fish is fresh and good quality. Service is friendly and attentive. I have been coming to Kazuki for many years, and the service has definitely declined over time. I have only dined in on a few occasions, but I typically order pick up. The last time I ordered they told me my order would take about 25 min to be ready, but when I showed up to pick up my order, the woman was confused and it turned out they completed forgot to make my order! All You Can Eat pricing is now at an all time low of 19.95 but you must consume everything that you have ordered or you will be charged extra. I really love this restaurant. The food is always fresh and delicious, and thank you, Bob and Mike, for creating two of the most delicious rolls on the menu. Their unbelievable anniversary special drops the all-you-can-eat price by five dollars, until the end of June, and you just can't beat that deal, both cost and variety. The only downside has been one waitress who stands on guard, glowering, making sure that the people who order the AYCE special don't share with the other people in their party. She constantly glares and disapproves of how much you eat, even removing the menu when I guess she feels you've had enough. By the way, I usually go with somebody who doesn't like sushi much so we never share. I ate there recently and it was not good at all. The roll I ordered was one of their special rolls and it was boring and bland tasting. I ordered a separate piece of sushi and it just did not taste fresh. With all the other great local places in the area, Kazuki is off my list for good.
