    Japanese Ceviche

This restaurant is a hidden gem tucked away in a shopping center off of 137ave in Kendall. Some of the freshest sushi you can find. I highly recommend the Japanese ceviche! Service was prompt, quick and professional. I definitely recommend this spot for a quick bite or take out!

I love you, Sushi Lico! This small localized establishment NeVeR fails me! We tried a few highly rated sushi places in the area and were not impressed. Finally, we came here expecting more of the same, but YES a winner! I have ordered different meals of salmon, rolls, etc and it's always exceptional AND a bigger portion than expected. Hubby loves it too, and swears by the iced green tea (refills included). The staff is very kind and attentive. They will give good recommendations according to tastes. It's all good here. Plus: open late for those later sushi cravings. Prices are on par for the area. Win-win! Check it out if you are in the area. It's all good here! Domo Arigato, Sushi Lico!

Everything about this place is great, very personal, lots of parking, great service. I unfortunately didn't get the name of the gentleman who served me but he had curly hair glasses and the best customer service :D the food was great I accidentally ate some plates before I even got a chance to have a bite lol. Sushi also tasted fresh and the curry was delicious... we were the only table there and I had a great time! Left me in a great mood :)

David was my server today & he was so attentive! He made sure I had different sauces for every roll I got, he was very friendly and it made the experience 100x better. I was also the only guest sitting down so I had all his attention. I love this restaurant and their double rainbow roll.

Great for family ans friends. Been coming here since a childhood and can't complain yet. The food is amazing family owned. Service is always the best and greeted with love and care. This restaurant never disappoints.

I hadn't visited Sushi Lico in many years, but decided it was about time to give it a try once again. We were so glad that we did. Service was fantastic, and the food was just as good as I remembered. They updated the decor and furniture and it now has a nice modern and clean feel. Overall a great experience. We ordered the Yaki Udon, Green Dragon Roll and the Hanna Montana. Everything was flavorful and filling. The kids menu items were also huge and my son enjoyed the Shrp Teppanyaki.

After many years this place still shines on customer attention and quality of food. Definitely recommend for both Sushi and Thai.

I came here to scratch a sushi itch and received a deep tissue massage…read more I must preface that I am a sushi snob. I have walked out of places that served fishy fish. Then there's the other end of the spectrum -- the kind of restaurant that reminds you why sushi can feel less like dinner and more like art, hospitality, and therapy in one sitting. Uchiko Miami sits firmly in that category. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance struck the perfect balance between modern elegance and traditional Japanese warmth. It feels refined without being cold, stylish without trying too hard, and intimate without feeling small. Every detail seems intentional. The food was exceptional, but what elevated the night was the experience around it. The fish was clean, precise, and beautifully handled. Every bite had that rare quality where you pause for a second because you don't want to rush past it. The flavors were layered, balanced, and surprising in the best way. The service was just as memorable. The staff were welcoming from the start, and my server turned the evening into something personal. I ordered what I came for, but kept being gifted thoughtful additions that made the meal feel curated rather than transactional. It is rare to feel both spoiled and completely at ease, but that is exactly what happened. Uchiko did not just satisfy a sushi craving. It reset the bar. This was one of those meals where you leave already thinking about when you can come back.

My wife and I arrived at 6:15 PM for happy hour, but our server didn't come to the table for about 10 minutes. When they finally arrived, we were told happy hour was over and we could not order any happy hour items. I spoke with the manager and explained that we had arrived before the cutoff and only missed it because nobody came to our table. While I understand having rules, I was surprised they wouldn't even honor a happy hour drink for my wife and me given the circumstances. The issue wasn't the discount--it was the lack of flexibility and customer service. After being told there was nothing they could do, we decided to leave. Still a great restaurant with excellent food, but this was a disappointing experience.

I could not…read morefollow that rule with Kuffo though...this restaurant is simply too good to not return again and again. The restaurant is named after the owner's grandma. How can anybody not appreciate a guy that loves his grandma? But there is more to Fernando than just that. He actually sums it up on his website when he writes, "cooking is my passion my real joy comes from making my guests happy." Having been there a few times now, I have grown certain that these are not just words. This sentiment comes from the heart and is evident in not just the amazing food, the attentive service, and the beautiful decor but also in the personal attention he shows every customer. It is not just business to him, it is personal. The food here is spectacular. So far I have tried a bento box which included miso soup, chicken padthai, and sashimi. The combination of flavors, the freshness of the fish, and the presentation were outstanding. I believe the dashi base for the soup must be made from scratch because the soup is so flavorful but, if not, I must find out where he gets it. The fish is nicely portioned and of a high quality. The padthai is not overly sweet like at so many restaurants which allows you to enjoy the perfect balance of savory ingredients including the perfectly cooked noodles. The portion is generous...enough to take some home. I have also had the Mongolian Chicken and the Ginger Glazed Salmon. Each of these were excellent, again sharing that perfect balance of flavors. I would call each of these dishes memorable. The only appetizer I have tried is the gyoza. It was outstanding. I like them fried but not oily, crispy on one side, with moist and not over-seasoned filling. These surpassed my expectations. The word perfect comes to mind. The only reason I have not tried any other appetizers is because the main courses are so generous. For the same reason I have yet to try dessert. I have also not tried any of the side dishes. Strangely, I have ordered sweet plantains twice, but for some reason, they were not served to me either time so I cannot comment on them. The experience was so good that is strange omission did not distract from the experience of the meal. The services is simply outstanding, the food is great and the vibe of the restaurant just creates a wonderful dynamic experience. But again what puts it over the top is the personal intention of the owner who treats us like we are his most valuable customer ever every time we walk in. And we will walk in. Often. kuffo is that good!

Not only was the food outstanding at Kuffo, but the service was also exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant's cozy and cute ambiance added to the overall charm, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's the perfect place for a nice chill dinner or lunch.

What surprised me was the excellent service, from start to finish. I arrived early and had a drink at the bar, served by a gorgeous, knowledgeable and polite bartender. Beautiful people dressed to the nines, a few couples and a few who were obviously tourists. Great start! The highlights included the dumplings, truffle fries and Snapper. I am a French fry purist, but these changed my mind! I would skip the tuna with caviar over rice appetizer. This one hurt as it was highly recommended by our server. The proportion is just wrong. The mushrooms as a main side were also rather pedestrian. I know we had multiple desserts, but I can't remember them. A big plus for me is that we were rooftop, but it is fully enclosed.
