We heard from some local friends about this place. We were pretty impressed with the ambience. It's small and point but the service was great. We were really impressed with the options of sushi rolls and the freshness of the actual fish. We consider ourselves having sushi lovers and this place stands out as one of our favorites. The plum wine that they suggested was also a nice treat. It was the perfect touch of sweetness without being overpowering. We were glad we got the bottle. It's a hidden gem that I highly recommend.

The ambiance was very chill and welcoming. Staff were friendly, fast and efficient. Everything was good but that the kimchi ramen was their best dish ordered with the family. Just right in spiciness level and flavor. Definitely a favorite.

The apptizers warp with avocado stuffed with tuna was amazing I would have given it a 10, but doesn't somebw/wanton chips.

Came here on a Monday during lunch as we were in the area. We were greeted and seated right away. They have a couple table seatings and several booths. There was only one waitress there at the time but she was very attentive. They have a decent amount of options on their lunch menu. We ordered the Melissa bites to start and I loved it. I usually don't like appetizers like that but the rice was crispy and not too oily. The sauce was light and the tuna was fresh. I opted for the combo #3 with salmon teriyaki. The salmon was delish. It was pan fried so it was crispy on the outside with a pineapple type light teriyaki sauce. The sauce was definitely made fresh and not the bottle teriyaki sauce most restaurants serve. The rice was fluffy. It also came with 6 pcs California roll so it was plenty. My husband got the chopped spicy bowl with tuna and salmon and he ate every single thing in the bowl. My 7 year old got the kids steak teriyaki and he loved it. My 6 year old got a tonkotsu ramen all to himself and he basically ate all of it, which that has never happened before. I treated the soup and it tasted a bit too salty for my taste buds. The only thing I thought was weird was when the check was requested, what was presented by the waitress was the total on toast tab. I guess I could have just asked for an itemized receipt. I usually like to see the itemized to make to verify what was being charged. And I didn't like it that the tip options were tax included and not pre tax which that's how it should be. I don't mind tipping and I usually tip well but we shouldn't have to tip on taxes too. I know the amount probably isn't much of a difference but it's the principle. Otherwise, I would definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

This place used to be my favorite sushi restaurant in the area, but quality has gone down a lot lately. I ordered 3 rocking shrimps and they all had burnt areas and most were broken on the bottom. The taste is also not as good as usual. The Caroline bites look so unappetizing that no one wanted to eat them. I also found a piece of aluminum foil inside my son's roll. I'm very disappointed with the last several orders I've placed and I think is time for me to find a new sushi place.

Clean and nicely decorated. I was greeted by many staff. First time here. Previous reviews didn't look promising. I ordered sushi lunch A with a salad. My salad looked perfect compared to other photos. The dressing was nice and fresh. My order came quick. Each bite was tasty and fresh. I'm glad I tried this place. I'll return.

My boyfriend and I decided to give this spot a try today for dinner. Our server Dayana greeted us right away. She was super friendly and welcoming! As appetizers we ordered the bao buns, the crab ragoons, and the Melissa bites. The 3 were delicious, but OMG the Melissa Bites were phenomenal!!! It's fried sushi rice with Tuna tartare on top. I'll be dreaming about those tonight!!! To share we also ordered the Alexander roll and the Rocking Shrimp roll. These blew our mind, they were so good!! I honestly can't decide which one was better. For dessert we ordered the ice cream tempura. Unfortunately, this one wasn't so great. I think the ice cream ball was not as frozen as it should have been cause it did not hold up in the fryer. By the time it got to us most of the ice cream was almost melted. The tempura coating was also laid on a little too thick, cause the inside was still a bit raw. Overall our experience was great, we will definitely be back and hope to make this our neighborhood sushi spot. When we got there it was empty, so service was super fast. The decor inside is cute and most of all it was nice and clean. I'm only posting pics of the Alexander roll and rocking shrimp, as we were too eager for the appetizers and forgot lol! Give this place a try for sure!

Ordered some sushi through Uber eats, the freshest sushi in the area. Normally tuna has a fishy taste to it but these did not! I loved it will definitely eat here again

Omg! I was so excited we were getting a sushi restaurant close to home but this is so much more!! They have delicious ramen , short ribs, fried rice, and more! They will also customize sushi rolls as well if you ask! The tuna tasted so fresh which I was very happy about. We came here once and now this is a regular spot for us to grab some delicious food. The owner is also super kind and friendly. The staff has been very accommodating as well. Overall, I am so happy I found this place. If you're looking for a new restaurant to try out this is it!

We brought my sister for her birthday lunch, and from the moment we sat down outside, it just felt right. Blue skies, that warm Miami breeze, the kind of afternoon that makes you slow down and actually enjoy the people you're with. Sitting on the patio along South Dixie Highway, you get that classic local seafood vibe without any pretense. Just fresh air, fresh fish, and good energy. Now let's talk about the service, because it deserves its own spotlight. I'm totally blind, and if you've followed my reviews before, you know I notice how places handle that. Our server was phenomenal. She was attentive without hovering, detailed without being overwhelming, and helpful without a hint of being patronizing. She clearly paid attention to where everything was placed, described the dishes in a way that made them come alive, and made sure I could navigate the table comfortably. That balance is rare. It's professionalism mixed with genuine care. Thank you for that. It mattered. And the food. Wow. We started with the tuna wontons and conch fritters. Both were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. The tuna was bright and clean, with just the right crunch from the wonton. The fritters were golden and crisp outside, tender inside, with that classic South Florida seasoning that makes you want "just one more." I had the lobster bisque, and it was rich without being heavy. Smooth, creamy, layered with flavor, and clearly made with real attention to detail. My sister's boyfriend ordered the shrimp tacos, and they were loaded, well-balanced, and packed with fresh seafood flavor. My wife had the grouper fillet, grilled to perfection. I sampled both my sister's blackened fish and my wife's grilled grouper. The blackened had that beautiful, slightly spicy crust that wakes up your palate without overpowering the fish. The grilled version had what tasted like an Old Bay style seasoning that complemented the natural sweetness of the grouper perfectly. Everything was cooked exactly right. Nothing overdone. Nothing rushed. Just quality seafood handled the way it should be. All in all, it was a fantastic birthday lunch. Great service. Great food. Classic South Florida atmosphere. And the best part for us, it's right near home, which means we'll absolutely be back. If you're looking for a relaxed, authentic seafood experience in Miami, Golden Rule Seafood delivers.

The music was nice and people were having a good time. The menu was extensive but in the end, I selected one of the popular dishes; fried snapper with a side of asparagus and red beans and rice (FYI this is considered two items). The fish was fresh, flavorful and plenty. The rice and beans and asparagus were also good. My friends had the Mahi, sliders, Debby side salad and the salmon dish. One person thought the salmon dish was ok, but everyone else was impressed with their own dish. The key lime pie was too tart and sweet for me, but it was good in spite of that. The other guests LOVED it! After brunch, I went to check out the market that offered amazing seasoning, fish, dips and other treats for good prices. Derrick offered excellent service to everyone when it came to welcoming us and selecting fish. I was impressed and will certainly be back. Check them out and enjoy!

I've been on the hunt for a while, and I'm happy to report that the search officially ends here. The Star of the Show I ordered the Fried Yellowtail, and it was exactly what I was craving. It was fried perfectly--crispy on the outside while staying tender and flaky on the inside. Honestly, it was so good I was tempted to order a second one just for the road. The Sides The meal came with rice, salad, and a side of fish soup. * Fish Soup: A great starter that set the tone for the meal. * The Salad: This deserves a special shout-out. It came topped with pickled onions, which added a bright, tangy crunch that cut through the richness of the fried fish beautifully. The Verdict This is a no-nonsense spot where the quality of the seafood speaks for itself. If you're tired of overpriced tourist traps or mediocre frying techniques, South Dade Fish Market is a breath of fresh air. Pro Tip: Don't skip the salad--those pickled onions are a game changer!

He walked us through the menu, shared their most popular items, and really made us feel welcome. My husband and I like to try a little bit of everything, and he had his heart set on wings so we ordered the hot honey wings with a side of mac and a side of collard greens. He absolutely loved those wings. I was lucky to get even one bite because he cleaned the bones! The mac & cheese was also a big hit for him he wished he had more. The collard greens weren't his personal favorite, but I enjoyed them, and I know that can be more of an acquired taste. I ordered the fried conch with fries and a side of fried shrimp, plus the mystery drink because I was curious. The drink was delicious it reminded me of something sweet and fun you'd grab at the fair, so if you like sweeter drinks, I definitely recommend it. The conch was fried perfectly not overdone, no old oil tastes just crispy and really good. But the real star of the show was that lobster sauce. Pairing it with the fried conch and shrimp took the whole meal to another level. The shrimp were crunchy on the outside and tender inside, and everything just came together beautifully. I'm honestly still thinking about that lobster sauce and can't wait to come back for more. On top of the great food, the atmosphere was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly. We got to meet both the manager and the cook, and they genuinely cared about how we were enjoying our meal and if anything needed fixing which it didn't. Everything was perfect for us. There was a very extensive food selection, from appetizers and salads to main courses and dessert options. We took our time making the right selections for our appetizer, salad, and main course. The service was fast but never rushed between courses. We had the perfect amount of time to enjoy all of their delicacies. After enjoying this wonderful dining experience, we had the honor of meeting the owner, who introduced herself to us and wanted to know if everything had met our expectations. Her name is Marbella. What a joyful person she is. We told her that everything, including the service, had been excellent and that we definitely planned to visit again. We spoke for a while and learned that the chef, Mr. Gustavo, was also the owner and Marbella's husband. Several of their employees are family members, something I have always enjoyed about family restaurants. It makes you feel right at home.
