Delicious sushi, good service, quaint space.. Can get very busy, and they don't take reservations. Worth the wait though.

The food was alright. The yellow fish and scallion roll was very fishy though. Some of the other rolls weren't bad.

What a great little spot! Came here last night with the boy because we were craving a new sushi spot. This place is BYOB, which is different from most sushi spots in the area. The sweetest server greeted us right away. The place was packed, but, we only waited about 20 minutes for a table to open. The service was excellent from the beginning! The gyoza and octopus salad were super delicious. The sushi was amazing, especially the crunchy salmon roll and Christmas roll! Glad to see that they are doing well and collecting great reviews. The 5 star reviews are real. I don't understand the lower grade reviews at all. Everything is fresh and delicious. The service is personable and conscious of where you are in your dinner. I had the omakase nigiri and all was outstanding, my GF had a few rolls and nigiri, and the naruto roll (one of our favorites) was so fresh. Best unagi we've ever had. Chu toro was melt-in-your-mouth fantastic. Next time we'll have the full omakase experience. Best sushi in the area. read more

This is some of the best sushi around! They have amazing sushi and appetizers. The staff is wonderful and prompt. While the location is small, I believe this is a benefit because the orders come out quickly and are perfect. It's BYOB! We will definitely be coming back. read more

We called and made a reservation to try out this sushi bar after reading some positive reviews. Upon showing up at our scheduled day and time we were told that they had no record of our reservation. I understand that in life mistakes can and will happen, but was most disturbing to me is that the chef and the hostess both did not let us sit and eat despite their losing of the reservation we had made. No apology, and no attempt to reconcile and let us dine despite their mishap. We were told that a party of 6 was coming so that we could not be seated, despite the fact that there were at least 10 seat free and only two in our party. Funny how they had one reservation but not ours. Makes me think they bumped us for a larger party. Very unprofessional. Will not be going. I would rather throw my money down the toilet than give it to this establishment after being treated with such disregard. read more

I thought the sushi was just ok here. I am a big sushi lover and know my good sushi. I had the lunch two roll maki special and the rolls were just all rice. Very small amount of fish in each roll and just didn't seem worth it to me even with a lunch price. I had salmon avocado and spicy salmon, may try again but idk so many great sushi places in the area. I will post a pic if I can find it. read more

We ordered 3 rolls and received one and then waited 35 mins. for the rest and never received it. The staff was not interested in apologizing or the fact that we were the only table waiting for food. There are too many restaurants in Worcester to choose from for this to happen. Never again. read more

This place is, hands-down, the best sushi in Worcester! Probably the best I've had in Massachusetts. It's tucked into a weird little space. And it's byob, which is pretty cool. The portions are large. And the prices are super reasonable!!! The fish is fresh and everything I've had is awesome. The miso soup is great. Their service is a little slow but that's because chef Nori takes so much time and care preparing the food to perfection. I recommend this place to everyone. This place is getting busier every time I'm there. It's kind of hard to get a table but that's a good sign. A true testament to how great this place is. read more

I had Sashimi lunch for the first time. Each piece of Sashimi was very fresh and generously sliced. The owner and the chef, Nori-San is a genuine Japanese chef. Rice was perfectly cooked, shaved and finely sliced daikon ( called "Tsuma" in Japanese) was delicately prepared. I believe this small sushi place is becoming a hidden gem for sushi lovers in this area. I love to go back for some sushi next time. Thumbs up!!! read more

Although just opened in May, this restaurant has already become one of my favorites. I've already been 4 times and have been very pleased at every visit. The chef, Nori-san, has at least 31 years experience, as I have followed him though various restaurants over those years. He still personally goes to Boston to pick out the fish he serves, which is outstanding. The restaurant, altbough on the small side, is quite intimate. Although it's been nearly 40 years since I was last in Japan, the atmosphere of this restaurant stirs memories of that wonderful experience. Worcester has a new jewel indeed! read more

Wow, that was good. It's a tiny place, so we were expecting a wait, but we were seated right away. I guess the rush is over by 9, even on a Friday night. There's not much of a range -- it's pretty much all sushi and sashimi -- but it was fresh, perfectly prepared, and the portions were generous. The service was attentive, and the waitress explained what everything was. I ordered the sushi combo (9 pieces of nigiri and a roll of your choice). So good! So much fish! The salmon and avocado roll was simple but delicious. I don't actually remember what my friend ordered because I was so engrossed in my own plate. She did ask for no eel sauce and no ... something else (like I said, engrossed). The waitress also made sure that I like eel before putting my order in. And ginger ice cream for dessert! Most restaurants in Worcester don't have ginger ice cream, so that was a treat. The prices were reasonable, especially when you compare it to someplace like Baba. I thought Miyazawa was just as good. It was a great experience, and I will definitely be back. read more

I love everything about this place: the atmosphere, the service, and of course the food! This is my boyfriend's favorite restaurant, so he took me here for dinner. He has known Nori-san for a while, and I had heard many times before about his incredible sushi. Miyazawa is BYOB, so we brought sake. We chose to sit at the bar. We each got miso soup and shared an avocado salad first. For an entree I got the chirashi bowl. Nori-san asked me which fish I wanted, but other than salmon I let him do the choosing. The presentation was perfect, I got to try something new, and most importantly the fish was fresh and delicious. Nori-san surprised us at the end of our meal with an amazing shrimp's head and clam miso soup that was sweet, spicy, and savory. Our server, Miyuki, was very helpful and kind, and the new server she was training did quite well. Excellent service! I've seen a few reviews that take issue with the size of Miyazawa, so I feel compelled to say something on that point. I actually like the small size of the space. It's perfect for a couple or for smaller groups. I like a more quiet, traditional atmosphere when I go out for sushi, and Miyazawa fits the bill. Don't let the small space discourage you if it's a larger party that you want to feed: they also do take-out! To sum up, this is hands-down my favorite sushi restaurant I've ever been to, and I will be back for more. read more
