    65. Hamachi (Yellowtail) w/ Miyabi topping abd 51. Christmas Roll DELICIOUS

Amazingly fresh, as always! Get the gyoza (the dipping sauce is sooo light and just really perfects the dish), yellowtail (w/masuki topping), Christmas maki, sweet shrimp sushi, seaweed salad. End it with ginger ice cream. The perfect date! The service we received was timely and amazing. Thank you!

This place is tiny and packed so we got takeout, but the fish was fresh and loved the Miyabi roll I tried. I was also very full from my one special roll plus a little bit of sashimi, practically stuffed. Seems like the place is family owned by a Japanese family, definitely a gem in Worcester! Service was polite and we ordered via their online ordering service without issues. If there's time, would love to come and sit inside one day since it has such a comforting and cute ambiance.

Great quality sushi and excellent service. It's a really small restaurant and BYOB. Be ready to wait!

Scallop Nigiri/ Ikura nigiri/ hamachi and Chu toro

Everything was excellent! Omakase set has 10 pieces of nigiri, my favorites were the botan shrimp, toro tuna, sea beam, hamachi, scallop and maguro (tuna). Salmon was ok. My least fav was surfing clam. Love their unagi nigiri too. Worcester roll and hamachi jalapeño maki tasted kinda similar, the rolls are great, not too saucey so that u can really taste the ingredients!!! Chu toro was awesome. Hamachi, Ikura and scallop nigiri were super fresh! Best sushi in town! They really serve traditional authentic Japanese food. Sushi rice has great balanced flavor of vinegary and sweetness. The sushi rice was cooked perfectly, you can feel the texture of every grain. I have been craving for some traditional rolls like ume shiso!!! Was so happy to get them here!!! Also this restaurant served purple sweet potato tempura! They are delicious! The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Service can be a bit slow at times. Be sure to make reservations coz the place could only fit so many ppl. 5 at the bar, and four tables of four. Be prepared to wait for a bit if you walk in to order take out. So maybe better to call ahead of time. Thank you for a wonderful meal!!! Will definitely be coming back for more yummy sushi.

Favorite appetizer: deep fried baby octopus! (There's literally a whole baby octopus in there. Super worth it, trust me! I've tried the fire roll and while it's good, it's a bit too dense for me, I'm unable to taste any other ingredients other than rice and the fried portion. I also had the deep fried crab appetizer and it was pretty good, but I wouldn't get it again. Nothing negative to say about service, great as always!

Once they announce it, you need to call immediately or get shut out. My observation about the place itself. The U shaped bar is gigantic for the space. It's a bar-bar too not like a sushi counter. This seems to draw a crowd of local drinkers rather than the normal sushi crowd. You feel like you walked into a sports bar. The place was really loud and it was hard to hear the chef explaining everything. Once seated... it's the chefs carving the tuna off to the side. There were 2 bar tenders making drinks and like 3 chefs cutting tuna.... other than that, no waitstaff. Which is really odd. You have to grab the manager who was running around helping to get your Wasabi refilled. Not to mention they gave zero place settings for about 8 of us, until we asked. The bar tenders seemed to pass over my empty drink until I asked for a refill too. It's a more chaotic event than I would have liked for $120 per person. It also takes time to carve the tuna so if you arrive hungry be prepared to not get your first tiny bite until 45 minutes after the start. The star was Chef Timmy. Honestly he was awesome. The tuna.... so good. You end to with only 3 pieces of Nigiri which was a little disappointing but the sashimi part was unlimited. Of course you have to take your plate up and ask for some. They only put about 6 small pieces of the various cuts per trip. I think I went up 5 times for sashimi alone. The tuna handrolls you can make yourself or ask the chef nicely. Those were really good. Probably best I ever had because it's so fresh. There is a limited amount of the highly prized (and highly priced) Kamatoro, but you can experience it here as it's included in the experience. That's a hard cut to find. The finale was a shot of tuna spinal fluid. My first time with that but it's not bad. You're probably looking at $150 per person unless you order alcohol than it's alot more. The fresh cut tuna is amazing. I'm glad I did it. The chaos and the setting made it less than ideal. I don't think I would go again to this location for it. One and done. It's a bit weird that you're paying $120 for this and you're still intermingled with local patrons just there to grab some beers after work and watch the game. Because of the massive bar it is impossible to create a space secluded to do it. They also should have a roaming waiter at least taking care of the 30 people who came for this experience.

Sawa had a decent Yelp rating (and was essentially the only place we could walk to), so we decided to give it a try. It has a large bar, traditional table seating and Hibachi steakhouse style seating, it's a fairly large place. It also projects a traditional Japanese Steakhouse vibe. Since we were dining at an off time, there was only one other patron in view. They have an expansive Asian menu and we ordered: Salmon Dinner - 5pcs of salmon sushi & spicy salmon roll (with salad) Asian Fried Rice with Chicken Scallion Pancake Gyoza -Japanese pan fried pork dumpling 2 Green Tea Total with Tip: $78 How expansive is the menu? If you search for Salmon on their online menu, you get 47 hits! Service was good, then again we were essentially on our own. The Salmon was good, not the best I've ever had, but tasty. The Fried Rice was also tasty, but very salty. The Scallion Pancakes were crispy and nicely cooked, we really liked these. And the Gyoza was very tasty, but should have been crisper. Overall, a very enjoyable "Linner" and a 4-star dining experience. I would return here if in the area.

Low lighting inside but it fit the vibe well. I got the Hibachi Lunch w/Chicken. Presentation was good and the chicken was well cooked. We placed an order online and the order took about a half hour for about 5 rolls. Wish it was a bit faster but the restaurant seemed pretty busy. We spent close to $50 on that last order and the crab Rangoons were unfortunately missing when we came home. Bit disappointed on that. Main reason for dropping of stars was I felt the quality of the sushi wasn't as good as our last visit. Both rolls just didn't have a ton of flavor. It didn't taste as fresh as our last visit. Flavor wasn't terrible but it was just... okay. Not sure what happened--maybe it was an off day or the quality suffered a bit. But hopefully they can improve the sushi rolls. Also from my last review they had a promotion of a discount online but my discount wasn't honored online--no big deal. But after a text promotion my crab Rangoons weren't honored either? Thumbs down. If folks do really enjoy this place and get reeled in on online promotions, definitely make sure they honor it. I was aware of it but just didn't want to deal with it. Cheers.
