The service was friendly and they came to check on us often to ensure we had everything we needed and wanted. The menu has a large selection of options to choose from including appetizers, hibachi dishes, sushi, sashimi and dessert. Our table ordered a wide variety including steak hibachi with veggies, noodles and rice, several sushi rolls, edamame, green salad, cucumber salad, spring rolls, shumai and tempura shrimp. I liked that I could order a smaller portion if hibachi, so I could try several different items. However, with most of the sushi, it appeared you had to get whole roll which ranged from 6 to 8 pieces depending on the roll. read more

Next time, I would definitely prefer to wait for better seating. Did I overeat? Yes, I did, but no regrets, and I would do it again :). The cucumber and kani salad were very good. We tried all three sushi appetizers. Beef gyozas and shrimp tempura from the kitchen appetizers section were yum. The tempura was pleasantly crunchy, and I almost ordered more. Our favorite things were classic rolls, salmon and yellowtail. The least favorite were the Classic Roll with Spicy Salmon and the Queen Roll with spicy tuna. No offense, but I thought spicy salmon and tuna that evening were pretty bad with absolutely no taste. I compared it to eating sawdust, but actually I've never eaten sawdust, so it was kind of mean from my side. We liked the flavors in general. The Christmas, the Rainbow, the Hollywood and the Dancing Crab (the most handsome) rolls were all very tasty. Perhaps due to the restaurant's high volume, some of our food was prepared very sloppily. I can only imagine how quickly all the chefs had to work to fulfill all the orders. They still should maintain some standard, in my opinion. Well, that's the consequence of visiting during the busiest time of the week, I suppose. Our server, Anna, was really pleasant. She thanked us for ordering extra sashimi for additional cost (still low). She also complimented the way we were ordering. My dining companion knew what to choose from the menu, and we gave her a longer list of dishes so Anna didn't have to check on us as often. It just worked out perfectly for us. Oh! There was this guy helping with the food service. He was probably in training, or maybe just filling in, or maybe just helping out on the weekends. His mood and attitude were pretty bad, but my companion said I should be more relaxed about it ;). Anyway, I'll be back. We had a lot of fun. When we came in, we were immediately seated and served, the waitstaff being extremely on top of refills, coming back around to take orders and dropping off food. We had several of their rolls, including the Las Vegas, Rainbow, Philadelphia and Crabmeat rolls. All were very tasty and fresh, and the hibachi we ordered came quickly. Finally got a chance to check out this all-you-can-eat sushi place and it did not disappoint in terms of quality and options. Went for lunch, which is $16 before tax for adults and drinks are extra, but reasonably priced. There was no wait to be seated and we were able to order as soon as we sat down for our first round of out seaweed salad and Crab Rangoons, which came out about 5 minutes afterwards. Don't know if it was slower than usual since it was the day after Christmas but I was impressed. Over the course of lunch, my partner and I got several rounds of sushi, other appetizers, and dessert. They also had some noodles and rice dishes as well if you're not a big sushi person. Our server was friendly and helpful with deciding on some options and really the only ding was some delays towards the end of our time where there was a back up in the kitchen or something because it took about 15 minutes to get the last order after putting it in twice. It came out from a different staffer, who had several orders on a cart to drop at different tables, so my guess is people were on breaks. Overall, definitely worth the price for lunch for the amount and quality of food can get, but be mindful they do have a no waste policy where you'll be charged for any stuff you don't eat. There was on the seat and under my table and I had to rewipe my table. I ordered the chicken, shrimp and steak hibachi, with fried rice and crab Rangoon as the appetizer. I left before ever receiving my appetizer and I asked for it twice. The first order of hibachi was good the rice was not it was ever cooked and kind of mushy. The second round was absolutely nothing like the first. It was over cooked. The food was salty, the meat was card the shrimp was hard the vegetables were limp and mushy. The shrimp was chopped into small pieces, the steak and chicken was as well. I definitely did not like that. The food being over cooked and salty, It ruined my appetite. This place is so good. I've passed it several times but never went. My husband decided to go here for a little date night. It was really good. We were seated almost immediately and handed menus to look over. The basics are that you can order a standard meal or do the all you can eat option. We did all you could eat. There was a bit of a learning curve. It's not like a standard buffet where you get up and get what you want. Instead, you tell your waitress or waiter what you want, and they bring it out to you. When you finish that round, you pick something else and repeat. The part we learned quickly is that they have a waste policy. If you don't finish what you order, you're charged for it. It's not stated exactly how they determine what to charge you, but if there are less than 50% of what you started with, they'll negotiate a little bit. I didn't like a few things, and I asked how much the charge was, and the manager came over and kindly told me he wasn't going to charge me some crazy price, but he had to charge me. Upon entering there isn't any pleasant food smells - there's really no smell - you'd want to smell some type of yummy food aroma -- there's none really. I will also say that the rest rooms were very clean. The atmosphere was just okay - booths and tables - not very cozy. The wait person was fabulous - she was very attentive and had good suggestions and definitely went the extra mile. The all you can eat concept is tricky - if you leave too much they'll charge you for the entree price so be sure to only order what you'll actually eat - which I was fine with as to avoid food waste. We decided to come on the weekend for lunch, and they were serving off of the dinner menu (understandable for a weekend). The place was buzzing and more than half the tables were full, even though we were there before noon. Definitely a good sign! Our server was kind and attentive as we figured out what we wanted. We started with miso soup, had shrimp tempura, vegetable tempura, crab salad, seaweed salad, crab Rangoon, edamame, and so much sushi! They had a collection of specialty rolls on the back that were included in the lunch, and I would highly recommend those. My favorite was the Love Roll. I didn't love the crab meat roll from the front of the menu because it was just imitation crab, but my criticisms of this place are few and far between. It was so nice to see my dad so happy that he could try everything on the menu that he wanted. They do have a no food waste policy. So, you need to eat everything that you order, or there is some sort of takeout fee (not sure if the specifics). They did not make us feel weird about the fact that we ordered a ton. We were both very happy campers! I am really glad that the Kenmore/Tonawanda area has such a great sushi option now. Before this, we were driving pretty far to get good sushi.
