Plenty of street parking was available on a Wednesday afternoon. The shop is small, but has half a dozen cozy booths and a couple tables inside. There was only one server but service was prompt. I was disappointed they were out of honey lemonade, but the regular lemonade was just right: not too sweet, not too tart, very refreshing. A little overpriced, though. Food came out quickly, partly because the tempura salmon roll was not quite what I expected, but probably healthier and still tasty. The philly salmon roll was good as well. I like that they offer a lot of rolls with avocado and without cucumber. Most places overdo it on the cucumber. I wouldn't make a special trip but definitely a place I'll revisit if I'm in the area.

This is the 1st time I've been to their new location & not only the location changed. The taste of their food did as well. The fried Chicken dumplings were not good & they shorted me 1. The beef Ramen tasted , not good. The meat was over cooked , And it was such a small portion for $13.99 . (I'll stick with Sato on Main St. I Love their Ramen & Dumplings ) My son didn't care for anything he ordered & he was so excited to order from there again because the food was so good when it was on Elmwood. He was very disappointed. We will not be ordering from here again.

Solid sushi take out during dinner hours, $6-10 per roll. Definitely satisfies the sushi craving. They have a twist on a couple of rolls by adding coconut to it. While it was good to try, I prefer the original versions. Another review mentioned "mushy" rice but I did not notice this during my 2 visits. I also tried the wings but I prefer for them to by crispier. Extremely easy pick up, typically ~15-20 min from the time you call. Looking forward to a return visit for their lunch specials.

Every time I come here I get great food. From Ramen to sushi rolls. Very tasty. A great value too. Great lunch specials too. I will be back. Thank you.

It's been a while since a sushi roll really wowed me -I've tried almost every kind Buffalo has to offer and I certainly have my favorites- but I've just added the coconut tempura shrimp roll from Buffalo sushi express to that list. It is so tasty! My salmon and tuna sashimi was also very fresh and fair priced, in my opinion. The green roll was a nice change of pace from the traditional veggie rolls, with lots of crunchy veggies and seaweed salad on top. I will definitely be back, and I was excited to see that they are setting up for in-restaurant dining, when I got my takeout.

I eat sushi almost every day, today I wanted to give this place a shot because it's right near my house. Unfortunately I won't be back unless I see better reviews for them in the future. The menu is very limited. No Yellowtail, no surf clam, no octopus. I think there were like 6 options for sashimi's. The sushi wasn't great at all, the rice was way too mushy. I'd compare it to the TOPS(the supermarket) sushi.....yes I tried theirs once lol xP The man who served me was very friendly and looked happy to serve me and I really appreciate his positive attitude, but he got my order wrong and I was the only customer in there :( I asked for spicy salmon roll and was given spicy tuna :( I don't even like tuna so it was hard to force myself to eat especially with the mushy rice. Only other positive note I can make is that the prices were reasonable, but you get what you pay for. I hope my review helps them make changes because I'd love to frequent and support a new local business.

I've driven past, seen the sign, but had yet to catch them open. Then as I was browsing GrubHub tonight, they popped up and decided to give them a try. Obviously I ordered delivery so I have no idea what it's like inside. This review is just for the food. Note: the delivery fee on GrubHub was pretty low. Their menu includes sushi with rice, sashimi, classic rolls, maki rolls, sushi combos, and a few special rolls. They also have sushi party trays. In addition to sushi they have some appetizers, soups, Japanese fried rice, Japanese Ramen noodles, and bento boxes. I ordered two classic rolls, the Philly Crab and the Spicy Tuna. I really enjoyed them both and the ingredients tasted very fresh. I look forward to trying some more.

Thrilled to find this place right down the street from work. The sushi is reasonably priced, visually pleasing and delicious. The restaurant is clean and service was fast. Keep up the good work.

Thank you Buffalo Sushi Express for being open during this time of COVID when SO many sushi places are closed and don't bother to update their website or voice mail about it! The sushi was tasty and super reasonably priced. The only minor complaint I have is that they gave us one packet of soy sauce for four sushi trays. Anyway, I will for sure be ordering again!

When walking in, you order on a large screen and seat yourself. Unfortunately to order on the screen it charged us a $3 "NYC online ordering fee" which was very odd (in addition to sales tax) - in addition the screen also asks you for a tip before you even sit down! But we weren't given any other way to order besides the screen which was a turn off with an extra fee involved My date and I ordered the creamy tonkatsu and creamy broth with pork. Overall, the ramen wasn't terrible, but it really lacked a home style ramen flavor and was not hot. This may be something I've never said, but they brought the ramen out in less than 5 minutes which makes me think the ingredients aren't fresh. There were no additional sauces or anything at the table to add flavor to the ramen. I also wouldn't describe it as a creamy broth at all. We also ordered the takoyaki which to me seemed like a frozen variety. We also each got a bubble tea which was not anything special. It was surprising they didn't have a taro slush option. The server did bring out the food to us, but the extra "online" fee when ordering was a bit of a turn off in addition to the lackluster ramen. Overall I probably don't see a compelling reason to come back.

We walked in on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm after seeing all the hype Stepout Buffalo gave this place on IG. We were greeted by someone quickly where she tried explaining how it works - order on a giant touch screen which was simple enough. Didn't love the fact that they ask you for the tip before you even sit down but that's the way this country works these days (spoiler alert: the service was not worth the 20% aka $20 we tipped) The seaweed salad was a bit slimy but generally not bad. The gyoza were excellent, would def order again. So was the pork bao. The meat was perfectly breaded and seasoned and cooked to perfection, and the sauces that went with it were delicious. This is kind of where the greatness ended. Onto the ramen (the main reason we were there), the noodles were honestly not bad but that's pretty much the best part. The soup was non existent and cold by the time you get to it - I think it has to do with the fact that all the vegetable toppings are mostly cold. The broth was also super salty (with no real flavor), I think to make up for the fact that the toppings not being well seasoned (my bean sprouts were completely flavorless). The breaded pork again was good, but I didn't like how it sat in the soup and got soggy, perhaps it should have been served separately on a plate? The grilled sliced pork belly was good and flavorful. I've had ramen all over Japan so believe me when I tell you the broth is not authentic nor is it good, which kinda ruined the entire dish. Our drinks were overpriced and very average tasting. The boba was too mushy but I am from Taiwan, so I guess I have high standards when it comes to boba. All in all, a VERY expensive lunch where neither of us enjoyed our entree (ramen), and given that we live in the southtowns, it's unlikely that we will ever return, even if the gyoza and pork bao were very tasty. As a final note, the atmosphere sucked. The workers talked and giggled very loudly the entire time as if no one understood what they were saying (unfortunately for them, I understood every word). FYI - This place is NOT Japanese despite its Japanese name.

The hostess told us that they would not take a pick up order until 8:30 (um ok....). But since it was 8:12, we decided to WAIT until 8:30 to order rather than finding an alternative to feed our family who already picked out their orders. So, we waited in our car for 20 minutes, and called back ready to place are order. The hostess said that the kitchen is now "not taking orders". I explained the situation and asked if we could just get a few ramen since we just waited at her direction. She must not realize that rent on Elmwood is expensive, or that there are bills to be paid, or that humans ordering food pay the bills, or that an owner would appreciate this $100 ramen order or the many orders we place all year, or large eat in bills because there is no attempt to keep us as a customer. We live in the neighborhood and love to support local restaurants and businesses and our family of 6 places large orders. Last time we were in to eat the service was bad as well. It took about 20 minutes to get our drinks. And the time before that we came on my daughters birthday and they said they weren't seating parties of 6 even though the entire restaurant was open. Hmmm. We literally could see every open table. My daughter in her 10 year old birthday crown telling them how much she loved ramen didn't even make them flinch since they seem to have delicious broth and no souls. We will keep spending our money at local establishments that treat customers like humans.
