The Queen Roll. Spicy tuna and cucumber in. Salmon, avocado, crunchy and eel sauce top.
    Anna W.

The Sushi Queen is a restaurant with an 'all you can eat' option for a truly low price. Knowing what you want in advance is the key to fully enjoying the experience. Lowering your expectations is also a good approach. The place was packed on Saturday evening, but we still got a table right away. It was located at the back of the room, next to the cash registers. Next time, I would definitely prefer to wait for better seating. Did I overeat? Yes, I did, but no regrets, and I would do it again :). The cucumber and kani salad were very good. We tried all three sushi appetizers. Beef gyozas and shrimp tempura from the kitchen appetizers section were yum. The tempura was pleasantly crunchy, and I almost ordered more. Our favorite things were classic rolls, salmon and yellowtail. The least favorite were the Classic Roll with Spicy Salmon and the Queen Roll with spicy tuna. No offense, but I thought spicy salmon and tuna that evening were pretty bad with absolutely no taste. I compared it to eating sawdust, but actually I've never eaten sawdust, so it was kind of mean from my side. We liked the flavors in general. The Christmas, the Rainbow, the Hollywood and the Dancing Crab (the most handsome) rolls were all very tasty. Perhaps due to the restaurant's high volume, some of our food was prepared very sloppily. I can only imagine how quickly all the chefs had to work to fulfill all the orders. They still should maintain some standard, in my opinion. Well, that's the consequence of visiting during the busiest time of the week, I suppose. Our server, Anna, was really pleasant. She thanked us for ordering extra sashimi for additional cost (still low). She also complimented the way we were ordering. My dining companion knew what to choose from the menu, and we gave her a longer list of dishes so Anna didn't have to check on us as often. It just worked out perfectly for us. Oh! There was this guy helping with the food service. He was probably in training, or maybe just filling in, or maybe just helping out on the weekends. His mood and attitude were pretty bad, but my companion said I should be more relaxed about it ;). Anyway, I'll be back. We had a lot of fun. Someday, I'd like to order from the regular menu for comparison. Maybe the special rolls are bigger and look tidier? The Sushi Queen is a good place to check out for an affordable dining experience.

The food was delicious. It filled you up. The workers are polite and always checking up on you. From the seats to the lights, the vibe makes you feel good. I 100% agree that for $25 you'll get the best sushi in Buffalo.

I tried Sushi Queen for the first time a few weeks ago. It was on a Saturday so they were doing the all you can eat dinner menu. It's a great value. Great plum wine. Lots of rolls to choose from but I was also trying the Hibachi steak and shrimp so I kept it simple with a smoked salmon avocado cream cheese roll. The crab rangoon has the perfect cream cheese to crab ratio. The tempura shrimp is also great. Excellent service. The restaurant is clean and spacious with comfortable seating.

I can say that if you want quantity over quality, this is your place to go. The habachi steak was dry and the sushi is just mediocre. The only thing I enjoyed was the crab Rangoon. It just seemed like the food didn't have any flavor at all. Our waiter was nice though.

I've been to sushi queen numerous times, and I have to say they are my favorite all you can eat sushi spot. The lunch pricing is great and the food is always fresh and good. I love the sushi rolls and hibachi. Staff are always pleasant and its cleans inside. They do have take-out and dinner options. Definitely give this place a try

This restaurant is great. It's all you can eat sushi, hibachi with appetizers and dessert. The food doesnt seem to be cheaply made or prepared. Everything is always delicious. I've been 4x in the last few months and my kids love it. The servers were quick getting my order and adding things to my order. The restaurant is always packed and I understand why. Plenty of seating and clean.

Great food and the salmon is fresh. They service was okay because they didn't not English so it was hard to communicate sometimes. The restaurant looks are great and the booths are great. The music at this place is spot on. The only bad thing was that sashimi wasn't free with the all you can eat.

We finally got to Sushi Queen. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect with an 'all you can eat' sushi. Was it the best I ever had? No. Was it good? Yes! We were aware of the fact that they'd charge extra for any food left, so we wanted to be careful when ordering. We started with the seaweed salad and edamane to munch on while waiting for our sushi. Then we moved on with ordering 3 rolls. I tried to remember all we ordered but sadly don't. I did enjoy the eel roll, one of my favorites. On to the specials menu. I really liked the Volcano roll which included deep fried fish. Not something I'd normally ordered but was very good. Service was good. Our server checked in enough that we were able to order everything we wanted. Overall good meal. I'll definitely go back. 2024-5

Normally, I'm a big fan, I've been here a few times and the service was pretty good. Went to go for Valentine's Day and was greeted with their only taking online orders... What kind of business model is that? on Valentine's Day of all days!!

Sushi Queen is as unintimidating as it gets when it comes to trying sushi or going out for sushi with friends. They have hibachi grill and fried rice for those who don't want to try a roll and plenty of cooked roll options. Everything was fresh and well cooked. Big parking lot. Clean place with lots of booths. Comfortable, quick and very friendly service. I don't eat raw fish, and I loved it here. My favorites were Volcano Roll, Rock n Roll, Tiger Roll and Summer roll. Other rolls were good too along with the Toasted Eel and Veg Tempura. We're definitely coming back.

I really enjoy their lunch special prices during the weekdays. You can get AYCE sushi for $16 per person during lunch time on the weekdays which is great. The portions are a little small but what I like despite that is that there is good fish to rice ratio. There isn't that much rice and the rolls are good too. A decent variety selection of the rolls. The service is good and the ambiance is cute, modern japanese. At the end, you get complimentary ice cream. I would come again for some affordable ayce sushi!

Ask the Community - Sushi Queen

Does the all you can eat include all menu items?

For the most part, yes. If you want sashimi, that was a few bucks extra per piece.

Is there anything on the menu that is gluten free? I asked the waiter when I popped in and he didn’t seem to know.

Yes. Rice is gluten free and there are plenty of non fried options gluten free. If you don't use the soy sauce you will be fine

Service was prompt and to the point. Very respectful staff Food- Had many of the sushi rolls Rainbow, Chopper, kamikaze and Akazaru. Every single roll was amazing and full of taste. I don't know where they get their fish from but it is some of the freshest fish I've had in the area. Also had the spicy miso ramen which was another perfectly made meal. The spice was full of taste but not so hot that it took away from the meal 10/10 restaurant.

Needed more sushi vinegar. If the ingredients are measured out, which they said it was when I pointed it out, then this should never have be an issue. -Garnish, specifically the lettuce on the sushi plate was old, mushy, and unappealing. They should have left it off the plate if that was all they had left. Sushi is about presentation more so than most food and this was not done well. -Miso soup. This was not traditional miso soup. I know there are miso soup with daikon as an add on, but there's usually wakame in it. There was no enoki mushroom either like it says on their menu. The ones I uses to make, and all the sushi restaurants I've been to were the traditional tofu, wakame and diced green onions. Have that as a first option since more widely known, and make the daikon as a second option. Also, miso broth was bland. Needed more bonito flakes. Equipment - you guys need to periodically check your tables and chairs for damage. When I grabbed my chair by the seat to scoot myself closer to the table the seat came off. Need to balance out the portions of ingredients in your rolls. California roll needed more imitation crab. There was too much cucumber and avocado. You guys need to focus more on quality and presentation instead of having a ton of different roll on your menu. When you are pricing your sushi like a mid-high end restaurant, the quality and presentation needs to match. I read the reviews on this place and thought all the kinks would have been worked out by now, but it seems not. We didn't try out the other non-sushi dishes they had on their menu, so we have no opinions on them. I am one of the few who will not be coming here again for sushi.

I ordered what I thought could have been an obscene amount of food only to receive extremely tiny portions. I ordered tako-su and a special of the same sort made of jelly fish which I had never had and was exited to try. I believe I also ordered a simple tuna roll thankfully or I may have starved like my friends. My friends both ordered the seafood tempura thinking this would be the size of a meal or at least include rice. Everything I ordered was about 3-4 bites of food, the sushi was 6 very tiny pieces. The sushi was good and if I ever went back I'd order more. The jelly fish was crunchy and interesting and I ordered it for the experience so I enjoyed it. I love octopus but this was the toughest most horribly overcooked octopus I've ever had. I forced some of it down but had to spit out two pieces of it because they were completely inedible octopus flavored rubber. My friends were extremely disappointed in their "meals" that consisted of a single tempura shrimp, a single tempura squid and a single tempura scallop. They left hangry. The drinks were good and seemingly normal portions. I don't know what the draw of this place is but I'd be willing to try it again to see if I just experienced an off day and a lack of appropriate expectations regarding price vs portions.

I wanted to go someplace different for dinner tonight. So I found this on yelp…read more My son and I went in and it looked pretty nice. It was a cozy atmosphere and I like the decorations. I ordered the spicy Ramen with pork the General Tzo's Chicken and fried chicken Diosa. I also ordered a Diet Coke The Diet Coke was $3.50 and all it was a can pop. That showed me the price were going to be ridiculous right away. Came the fried Gyoza, which was not fried. It was clearly steamed or boiled. It wasn't bad, but it would've been a lot better if it was fried like I ordered it. Next came the Spicy miso Ramen . I ordered it medium spice, but it was very hot. It was hard to eat. Therefore I did not eat it. I only had a few bites and that's all I could tolerate. The pork was all fat . That was pretty bad to have all fat and no meat. All I could taste in the broth was what I could only describe as dirty ,fishy ,ocean water. Which obviously to me was disgusting. My general Tzo's chicken, I ordered medium spice and it had no spice whatsoever to it. It was very bland and tasted sweet. I did not like it.. Well, I left there starving and I spent over $40 on food that I couldn't eat. The prices are incorrect on yelp, all the prices went up, except for the pop ,that came down. The only positive or semi-positive thing I have to say is the waitress was really nice, and when you asked for something she went and got it right away. The only problem was it was hard to understand what she was saying or what she was trying to say. By the way, if you're from Yelp and you go in here, you will get either a free spring roll or a free, sticky mango, whatever that is. But when I showed the waitress my coupon from yelp, she said, my boss doesn't associate with yelp, although there is a Yelpie award right there on the counter. Another place, I will not be returning to unfortunately

The server was very personable, but service was slow, and a couple of things were forgotten. After she took our order, she didn't really come back to check on us to see if we needed anything else. We ordered fried chicken dumplings, steamed chicken dumplings, and vegetarian spring roll appetizers. They were fresh, hot and everyone enjoyed them. Several of us ordered chicken coconut noodle soup. Everyone enjoyed that. The other six people in my party all enjoyed their meals. I ordered Pad Thai for dinner. I was not all that hungry by the time it came because of everything else that I ate. However, I was not a fan. I have had pad thai from other restaurants and it was different from what I expected. The noodles that I've had at other places are different and I did not particularly care for the sauce. Having said that, I don't need a lot of Asian food. It's not something that I would choose if I was choosing a restaurant. So my four-star review was really because of the service not because of the food.
