Aww, such sweet service! I'm pretty sure that the woman that served me may have been one of the owners and she was so attentive and kind that she made me really enjoy my visit. I settled into a booth in the corner and ate my usual sushi setup: miso soup and a side salad with an avocado cucumber roll. It was very good and the staff were welcoming the entire time, checking in on me to make sure I was enjoying my stay. I loved the decorations in the restaurant, too. Faux foliage, wood everywhere, it was gorgeous. It reminded me of some sort of secret garden and I loved the feel of it. It's a little dim-lit because of the surroundings, but I didn't mind at all and had a great time. Between the food, the staff, and the vibe of the space itself, Sushi Raku is definitely worth a visit.

Our go to for Chirashi because the fish they serve are thick slices and fresh. We also ordered the karaage curry, whick included two huge croquettes with the chicken karaage. Temperature wise, the karaage curry was super hot. No way I can finish the curry based on the size of the serving.

Portions are huge and food is amazing. I live in SF but would definitely drive out of my way to eat here. Wayyyy better portions, taste, and price for a casual spot than what the city has to offer. Staff is soooo soo friendly and it feels very welcoming! I would definitely be back! So yummy!

We have definitely become regulars, I could eat their Beef Ramen soup anytime and my husband's preference Chicken Udone. The flavors are really good and if you want a kick in the spice department just ask for some on the side.

The service was amazing and the workers are so nice! The place is so cute and has a cozy vibe! And the sushi was priced pretty well! They even gave us free ice cream and candy!!!

We decided to try this place on a whim. And we were pleasantly surprised! Service was ok, not enough wait staff and they took their time getting the bill and to go containers. The food was surprisingly very good. Fresh ingredients, very fresh fish, vegetables, and meat. The dinner comes with miso soup and a small green salad. The food was prepared fast and we didn't wait long! The casual vibe, decor was eye appealing, the staff was very welcoming and friendly. We definitely will be coming back for the delicious fresh food and fast service. This might be our new go to sushi place in the concord area. The other's we have tried haven't been as good and fresh as Sushi Raku!

Chicken Katsu with Sashimi. Katsu was perfect, sashimi was huge slices but just OK

Came here for lunch at 11:15 on a Friday, restaurant was empty so I had my choice of seating. Staff was awesome. Immediately greeted me, then again I was the 1st one there. I ordered a Bento box with Chicken Katsu and Sashimi. The waitress brought over a steaming hot bowl of Miso which was a great starter on this chilly day. When my Bento arrived I was blown away with the portions. Refreshing salad, a huge pile of perfectly cooked rice. Two, Not One, Katsu cutlet and 5 pieces of Sashimi. All for $16.95. Score..... I believe their 5 piece Sashimi on the appetizer menu was $14.95 by it self. So the chicken Katsu cutlet was cooked perfectly, Crispy on the outside, moist fully cooked on the inside. As for the Sashimi, 3 tuna and two salmon in huge slices. The tuna was just ok, salmon a better quality. Bottom line, a great find. I've been here before for rolls and they were awesome. I'd probably not come here just to order Sashimi or Nigari but for a Bento or Roll, you can't go wrong.

    Complimentary Ice Cream!

10/10 coming back again for sure! Service so fast, and staff super welcoming and kind. Love the atmosphere from this restaurant. Definitely recommend!!

My sister and I were craving Japanese food after a trip to the mall and we will definitely be coming back to this location! For the 49er roll, the salmon is so fresh, the cuts are thick and generous and melts in your mouth. We came about an hour before they closed and the salmon was still SO fresh. The Tonkatsu Don was such a huge portion and it came with two cutlets and an insanely huge amount of rice. The miso soup and side salad were also so delicious, we usually never eat either at any other Japanese spot. Other than the amazing food and great portion sizes, the customer service is amazing!! The host was so so sweet, very smiley and enthusiastic. At the end of our meal, she also brought us complimentary green tea ice cream and candies while we finished up our food and paid the tab! If you're in the area and want a good sushi/ramen/rice bowl spot.. def come here!! :-)

The food (esp the miso soup!!!) was absolutely delicious and fresh. Good servings and the service was stellar. Humble and kind people, very chill and relaxed mom and pop shop vibe when we came in :) we will come again when visiting!

A rush of people had left the restaurant at the same time because a sports game ended. The time to get seated was incredibly short, taking less than 5 minutes for us two. Once seated the hostess did not offer us anything, instead saying someone else would come help us and she hurried off. We sat for over twenty minutes without a single server speaking to us. In that time we had four separate parties of 1-4 all be seated around us. They all were given drinks either by hosts or servers. Two of them had orders taken. We were not asked how we were. Even after activating the "need waiter" mode on the tablet every single server ignored us. I know mistakes happen, a rush had ended and we may have been lost in the shuffle. Every server who looked at us and the tablet could have checked in. It was clearly bright and alerting. The restaurant wasn't incredibly busy, as our section was mostly empty when we entered. As we were getting up one of the servers looked at both of us, the alerting tablet on the table, and then towards the table next to us and asked if they needed help. I have to mention that all the people who were served before us were white. Most of their servers were. The hostess who sat us down also was. We are an interracial couple. I am very visibly middle eastern. It felt incredibly targeted. We would tip as much as any other party. We wouldn't treat the staff poorly. All we did was have a brown guy at the table. When we went to hand our menus and unused utensils back to the hosts the only host who showed any concern and attempted to help wasn't white. She offered to get us reseated and immediately helped. Considering the racist treatment towards us by the other staff we declined. We left promptly. I would love for someone from the management team to reach out and look at any footage of the incident to clarify what might've happened. Our reservation at check in was under my partners name and placed at 4:34pm.

This past weekend I got a chance to try it with my boyfriend, who's already had it once before. We decided to go in around 8pm on a Saturday. We attempted to call beforehand to check in with how busy the restaurant was as we were both starving and wanted food asap! We weren't able to get past their automated answer choices, so we decided to take a risk and go in. Upon arrival, it was a joy to see that there was not many people eating as well as no waitlist to be seated. We got seated immediately by what seems to be the restaurant manager. He was nice and made us feel welcome. Our server for the night whom I forgot the name of, was sweet and responsive to our needs as well! We were pleasantly surprised by how empty the restaurant was. We both ordered burgers, which my bf had recommended to me based on the one other time he came. Our food came out so quickly, I would say just around 10 minutes! I got their "Eureka! American" with cheddar cheese rather than swiss. Oh my gosh, it was one of the best burgers I've had! It was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. My bf got the Bacon Jalapeño Jam Burger which he liked, but said the bread was almost too sweet for his liking. It's also worth noting that their bathrooms were super clean and taken care of, which is usually not the case at these type of restaurants. I can't wait to come back and try their truffle fries next! I definitely wish I tried them that night but it just gives me an excuse to come back!

We also ordered the fried rice with sirloin and French omelet. The chef must have spent a season in Paris because the omelet was textbook French, impressive. The sirloin was good too but my wife didnt really care for the rice. I liked the rice but it wouldn't hurt if they gave a steamed rice option. Next time we'll request that instead for a 10/10 dish. We also had the crown drink and the garden of Versailles. Both were worth trying if you come here. The moment I touched the iPad to join the waitlist, a waitress asked how many people in our party to which my BFF and I responded, "two" and we were whisked away and seated promptly! Fantastic! During our meal, several waiters checked in on us and made sure we had ordered or if we wanted anything else! Detailed and friendly service. The second time I visited we got on the waitlist half an hour before arriving and were seated within 15 minutes of arriving. The only thing is since there is a long waitlist on Sundays, long conversations aren't very possible without various staff frequently intervening to ask if you want boxes to go... even if you're still chewing. I do understand it's to keep groups cycling through so that everyone can enjoy a meal here. F O O D My friend wanted to try various appetizers so she ordered the Korean fried chicken, crispy brussel sprouts, and earl grey croffle. I ordered the sweet maple omelette. The Korean fried chicken was great, with its wonderful crunch and flavorful hint of spice. The brussel sprouts were indeed delicately crispy as described and tasty; I couldn't stop eating them! I also thoroughly enjoyed their namesake omelette; it was a big portion too. What stole the show was the earl grey croffle!! A light crunchy yet soft croissant waffle with burrata(!!) blueberries marinated in Earl grey(!!) & basil extra virgin olive oil and their housemade blueberry marmalade was such a strange combination to imagine but a beautiful taste experience. I would have never considered adding burrata cheese with basil evoo and earl grey blueberries to a croffle but I am grateful to the skilled chef who did at this restaurant! I can't wait to come back just for this very delicious appetizer/dessert. D R I N K S My BFF ordered a coffee and I ordered the hot coconut cream latte. The coconut cream latte was dreamy and sweet. I have also tried the iced Ube latte on another visit and it was good but not as good as the coconut cream latte. It needed a touch of something else to balance the sweetness of the Ube, not sure what really. I am intrigued by the floral tonic espresso so I'll try that on my next visit! A M B I A N C E The decor and open dining area with its glass windows make the area feel airy and inviting. It's a very aesthetic vibe inside. There is chatter and laughter but nothing excessive, except the second time when we were seated by a table with unruly children, though that is no fault of the establishment, just the parents. This for sure a great place for a brunch with the girlies or a date post farmers market. Just make sure to get on the waitlist via Yelp to plan your visit ahead of time! This place is always busy, as it should be!! P A R K I N G Parking was slightly difficult to find since the farmers market was also going on at this time when we visited on a Sunday late morning but we were able to find paid street parking within 5 minutes. I would recommend planning for some extra time to find parking if you're coming on a Sunday (due to the farmers market). The second time I went on a Sunday around 11 am it took me 10 minutes to find parking and I got lucky since it was someone leaving the farmers market. Also please note that the farmers market closes the streets that Google Maps will try to take you through to get here.

We ordered a few rolls, and I asked for a recommendation, letting them know that I liked Aji tuna and spicy tuna. The staff was really friendly, and the place looks really cool. The issue we had with the rolls is that they place them on some form of parchment paper. Three of the rolls looked identical, all of them had Ahi Tuna on top with some sort of temporary crumbs. The inside did vary, some had spicy tuna, shrimp, tempura, and they were all tasty. Because of the parchment paper placement every roll was falling apart. I've never in 20+ years of having sushi had all the rolls fall apart. On top of that, a few pieces had chewy tuna due to some inconsistent knife cuts. I hope it was something regarding takeout, it was just different, hope to come back someday and see if the in dining experience is different.
