Aww, such sweet service! I'm pretty sure that the woman that served me may have been one of the owners and she was so attentive and kind that she made me really enjoy my visit. I settled into a booth in the corner and ate my usual sushi setup: miso soup and a side salad with an avocado cucumber roll. It was very good and the staff were welcoming the entire time, checking in on me to make sure I was enjoying my stay. I loved the decorations in the restaurant, too. Faux foliage, wood everywhere, it was gorgeous. It reminded me of some sort of secret garden and I loved the feel of it. It's a little dim-lit because of the surroundings, but I didn't mind at all and had a great time. Between the food, the staff, and the vibe of the space itself, Sushi Raku is definitely worth a visit.

Our go to for Chirashi because the fish they serve are thick slices and fresh. We also ordered the karaage curry, whick included two huge croquettes with the chicken karaage. Temperature wise, the karaage curry was super hot. No way I can finish the curry based on the size of the serving.

The service was amazing and the workers are so nice! The place is so cute and has a cozy vibe! And the sushi was priced pretty well! They even gave us free ice cream and candy!!!

Portions are huge and food is amazing. I live in SF but would definitely drive out of my way to eat here. Wayyyy better portions, taste, and price for a casual spot than what the city has to offer. Staff is soooo soo friendly and it feels very welcoming! I would definitely be back! So yummy!

We have definitely become regulars, I could eat their Beef Ramen soup anytime and my husband's preference Chicken Udone. The flavors are really good and if you want a kick in the spice department just ask for some on the side.

We decided to try this place on a whim. And we were pleasantly surprised! Service was ok, not enough wait staff and they took their time getting the bill and to go containers. The food was surprisingly very good. Fresh ingredients, very fresh fish, vegetables, and meat. The dinner comes with miso soup and a small green salad. The food was prepared fast and we didn't wait long! The casual vibe, decor was eye appealing, the staff was very welcoming and friendly. We definitely will be coming back for the delicious fresh food and fast service. This might be our new go to sushi place in the concord area. The other's we have tried haven't been as good and fresh as Sushi Raku!

10/10 coming back again for sure! Service so fast, and staff super welcoming and kind. Love the atmosphere from this restaurant. Definitely recommend!!

Chicken Katsu with Sashimi. Katsu was perfect, sashimi was huge slices but just OK

Came here for lunch at 11:15 on a Friday, restaurant was empty so I had my choice of seating. Staff was awesome. Immediately greeted me, then again I was the 1st one there. I ordered a Bento box with Chicken Katsu and Sashimi. The waitress brought over a steaming hot bowl of Miso which was a great starter on this chilly day. When my Bento arrived I was blown away with the portions. Refreshing salad, a huge pile of perfectly cooked rice. Two, Not One, Katsu cutlet and 5 pieces of Sashimi. All for $16.95. Score..... I believe their 5 piece Sashimi on the appetizer menu was $14.95 by it self. So the chicken Katsu cutlet was cooked perfectly, Crispy on the outside, moist fully cooked on the inside. As for the Sashimi, 3 tuna and two salmon in huge slices. The tuna was just ok, salmon a better quality. Bottom line, a great find. I've been here before for rolls and they were awesome. I'd probably not come here just to order Sashimi or Nigari but for a Bento or Roll, you can't go wrong.

My sister and I were craving Japanese food after a trip to the mall and we will definitely be coming back to this location! For the 49er roll, the salmon is so fresh, the cuts are thick and generous and melts in your mouth. We came about an hour before they closed and the salmon was still SO fresh. The Tonkatsu Don was such a huge portion and it came with two cutlets and an insanely huge amount of rice. The miso soup and side salad were also so delicious, we usually never eat either at any other Japanese spot. Other than the amazing food and great portion sizes, the customer service is amazing!! The host was so so sweet, very smiley and enthusiastic. At the end of our meal, she also brought us complimentary green tea ice cream and candies while we finished up our food and paid the tab! If you're in the area and want a good sushi/ramen/rice bowl spot.. def come here!! :-)

The food (esp the miso soup!!!) was absolutely delicious and fresh. Good servings and the service was stellar. Humble and kind people, very chill and relaxed mom and pop shop vibe when we came in :) we will come again when visiting!

I have nothing to say about the service because it was wonderful Marissa or Melissa I'm so sorry it was so loud so I had a hard time hearing your name you were amazing as was everyone else helping you. I had planned on ordering the same exact thing I usually do which I would be the zucchini fries, crab cake, scallops over risotto, and the veal Marsala. Today I convinced my boyfriend that we should try one new dish we were pleasantly surprised by the prime rib dip and utterly disappointed about our scallops. I came back to rave about your take of the pina colada non alcoholic beverage it was soooo good and refreshing. I always get the crab cake and the zucchini fries which are always a hit! Both sauces to accompany the dishes pair so well!! Both fresh and bright to complement the fried elements. We decided on trying a new dish and the prime rib dip with the cheese and caramelized onions with an upgrade to truffle fries bomb. It came with ketchup, some horseradish, and another creamy sauce which was yummy and tasted bright. I really came to write about how sad I was to receive my scallops over risotto which couldn't even be called risotto. I always order this at every location and this would be my second time here and it did not deliver like it did the previous times. It was clumpy rice with a little bit of cheese at best. What a bummer to pay almost $50 for a few scallops when I know they make this dish phenomenally. My other complaint is how come the dip wasn't packed to go with my prime rib dip sandwich? I was sad the horseradish didn't come home with us but without the dip is almost criminal. Same for our zucchini fries that elevates the fries so much!!!

I was expecting maybe smaller oysters for the deal but no ! They were big creamy fresh oysters that you'd get any other day but for a dollar ! It's only for Sunday Monday while supplies last ! Wences you guys will be seeing me more often . We also tried the seafood grill which comes with salmon halibut scallops prawns topped with a creamy lemon sauce . Grilled veggies and polenta . First impression I was skeptical of the polenta because it looked like corn bread but you take one bite it melts like butter in your mouth . So creamy . The flavor amazing ! Fish was cooked to perfection . I would have liked the sauce to have more of that lemon in there but nothing a squeeze of lemon yourself can't fix . The citrus habanero scallops .... Were also cooked to perfection . Not chewy at all . A little underwhelming with the flavor description though . There was not a lick of habanero or any spice whatsoever or citrus . It was a very sweet sauce . Wasn't bad just not what was described my only complaint . And being they come by themselves maybe six instead of four would be nice ?? Besides that there are soooo many things I'm excited to try from the menu . I think my next choice will be the lamb chops !!! Waiters are always supper friendly and I'm not sure if it's the manager or owner but he too is always around when I come and is very attentive as well always checking and conversing with the customers . Wences is nice for indoor or outdoor seating ! It's family friendly or even date night . Pretty much if you and your crew love a nice vibe with good quality seafood i definitely recommend this place .

We sat out on the covered patio and got to enjoy some World Cup during dinner as well. Our meal: Non alcoholic cucumber pineapple drink sounded good but was lacking in flavor. Didn't get the taste of any juice. The fried calamari was very over cooked and we should have sent it back. You know it's over cooked when the tentacles have to be spit out and the body parts aren't chewable. Beet salad wasn't bad. Generous chunks of red and golden beets at the bottom, topped with arugula, a quarter sliced avocado and some candied nuts. The flavors were solid. The mussels were good with a little kick. The mussels were cooked perfectly and the beard was gone. It's served with 4 points of a cheese type bread. The bread wasn't toasty. It would have been better with fries. The tempura oysters were our favorite of the meal. Light breading served with cocktail sauce and a soy based dip. We liked the soy based dip. Service was good, parking convenient. Because of the location, the place appears to be more of a locals hangout which is nice to have. I'm going to pass on returning here for now. You give it a try please. Support this local business.
