The last several times that I have visited the Sushi Sake at Killian for dinner the service has fallen way short of expectations. Tonight, 8/8/2017, while the food was fresh and well prepared, the environment did not match the pricing point. It has a vibe that immature kids are running the place and there is no level of professionalism or pride in the service. When I say running it, I mean running it to the ground. Whether is is the hostess playing with their hair and dancing in the middle of the restaurant, or the same hostess asking one of the male waiters to "Tirame una toballa" (Throw me a towel) followed by a literal lunging of a blue towel by the other employee across the restaurant to clean the table top, or tables being dirty, no dining ware or napkin available, or water served to start, and the same young blond hostess tossing menus at other customers who sat at the bar... the list goes on and on. It is an obvious sign of a troubled chain with no management oversight of kids. A classic case of when the cat is away the mice will play. The experience is not worth the check. It felt like a third world experience. Guys get a grip and take control of your employees. They are running a muck and it is disgraceful to see how they are not servicing your guests for a better experience worthy of the hefty pricing point at checkout. read more

Out of all the places I've gone out for sushi, Sushi Sake gives me the most variety to chose from apart from. The broad menu no only offers a plethora of sushi options but fantastic hibachi and cooked meals, if you're going for fried rice or their hibachi specialties i would recommend going on a weekday from 11am-3pm their lunch discount on most of their hibachi is a whole 50% off!?!? Not to mention their happy hour from 4pm-7pm half off on all hot appetizers, all beers, all house wines and Thai donuts!! The staff is all friendly, patient, and have never had any issues answering my questions about the menu. If i could describe the atmosphere i would have to say that it invokes a certain warmth, with music consistently playing in the background and the staff always in motion, it's hard to take your eyes off how coordinated they operate. I'm not sure why this place only has 2.5 stars at the moment; perhaps they slipped up in the past, but all i know is that Sushi Sake is my go-to place for sushi and hibachi and i know i can count on them for takeout, delivery, or dining in, because even now they have never failed to please my palate. read more

Placed an order for takeout and when my boyfriend went to pick it up he was told I called the wrong sushi sake. When he came back home I called back and was told that the food was ready that they made a mistake, I asked why no one checked to see before he left and got attitude from the night time manager. She said well it's ready now you can come pick it up if you want. Obviously after getting an attitude about a mistake THEY made I did not send my boyfriend back to pick up the food and I will no longer be ordering or dining in at sushi sake. Very disappointing considering this location is right next to our home but I rather make the drive to sushi maki than be spoken to how I was. Okay so I've been to Many sushi sakes and OMG this is by FAR THE BEST sushi sake I've ever visited ... The food to start off was amazing we had the angel roll , Caliente roll and TNT roll DELICIOUS , and for dessert we had the brownie tempura OMGG TO DIE FOR But what's ever more Amazing was the service .. Super attentive server ( William) and his co workers very attentive as well. Coming around all the time checking up on us. We had our little puppy with us and they were so nice about it. They even brought him water outside ;) super nice environment , great service and delicious food !!! I am for sure coming here again! This place gets an A+ :) !!! read more

The ambience and food are always delicious. The avocado roll and the vegetarian roll are amazing options for vegetarians and vegans alike. Get them both with brown rice extra wasabi and a large warm sake for an amazing flavor experience. The cotton candy at the end is a colorfully sweet way to end a savory experience. The multiple locations around Kendall make it very hard to say no. The polished casual feel to the restaurant makes it an awesome date spot as well as a late night bite to eat after the Miami nightlife has worn you out. Honestly, if you're looking to grab some great sushi, delicious fried rice and a great atmosphere, then sushi sake is the place to come. The staff is excellent, really caters to your every need. Very respectful and not a long wait for the food. The food is out of this world amazing. Many varieties of sushi to also cater to someone if they don't like the taste of sushi. They have a boat load of options when it comes to not only sushi, but definitely the rice. I definitely recoupment coming whether it's for a date night, late night after class or casual lunch date. Very good food, pretty good service, nice people, clean, nice looking. A great restaurant! A family friendly place. A little small but a great place to eat. There is not very much seating, but it is definitely worth coming out here and chancing your luck that you will get a seat. It doesn't seem to be completely full at any time. They seem to have space so don't worry about the low amount of seating, because you will get a seat. I definitely recommend it! read more

I wrote this in promise of free Thai donuts. But since I'm here, I guess I might as well tell you what's going on in this joint. Food's great, especially the fried rice. I had the Miami Heat Roll, both enjoyable and fulfilling (like a turkey leg). It's a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. Would totally eat here again. Oh... Sushi Sake has many locations and out of all of them, Killian is my favorite one. Great little place to eat good Japanese food. The servers are kind and helping while the chef's are very good at what they do making authentic Japanese food that's to die for. The place is always clean and so are the bathrooms, when you need to go you don't have to worry about what you're stepping in. Overall it's a very classy place with reasonably priced food and a great dining experience. read more

We usually go to the Country Walk location, so were a bit skeptical about trying a new one. However, we were pleased with the service and the food tasted amazing. The crab salad looked different than at the other locations and even though it was missing the sesame seeds, it still tasted good. Everyone was attentive and pleasant. First time visit I ordered the California Roll and glass of Plum Wine. Everything tasted great and my server was Magdielis she was friendly and smiled. I don't understand some of the bad reviews on here. I had a great experience and would come back here. One bad review I found strange if the food is so bad why do you keep coming back? This location surpasses any other I have personally been to. The food itself tastes so fresh and you can tell the individuals preparing each meal meticulously take time to prepare each dish. I had been here before but the service hadn't been that great. However I gave it a second chance and I'm so glad I did. Our server Maggie was very attentive and provided great service for me and my kids. The angel roll we were recommended tasted delicious. This is absolutely my favorite sushi restaurant ever! The service was amazing and the food was so so so delicious. My friends and I got the fried rice and we loved it. Exceptional customer service and the food is actual authentic Japanese cuisine. We were seated immediately upon arrival and the food arrived promptly.
