    Spicy edamame

It's Mothers Day 2024, I anticipated this place might be busy but much to my surprise it was empty. I will say the sushi chefs were busy with take out and delivery orders.. The service was great. I was greeted with a smile and very well attended, served quickly and with a smile which always really nice. The menu was different from the last time I came. I was kind of excited truthfully. It boasts fresh press juices to which I ordered a watermelon one, only to find out they don't have it or any fresh juices in fact.. the server also divulged they don't have quite a few things on the menu, and have reported it to the franchise but the menus have not been replaced. The food, wasn't bad, but it wasn't extraordinary. I ordered a miso soup, spicy edamame, and I modified the vegetable roll by adding tuna and salmon. -The miso soup was like warm at best. It lacked flavor. -The spicy edamame was new to the menu but lack luster. It tasted like edamame with chicken wing hot sauce rather than the Asian inspired sesame with spicy mayo and salt that was described. I had to add soy sauce to eat to make it edible as it was just hot sauce flavor and seemingly lacked salt altogether. - I modified the vegetable roll b/c there were any rolls that seemed healthy or didn't have a fake krab stick. This was actually ok. The rice was flavorless and in paying extra for the modification, I expected a nice slice of salmon and tuna inside rather than the teeny tiny slivers. I opted not to have desert. All in all, service and smiles aside I was somewhat disappointed. I suppose Sushi sake has become too popular a franchise to really care about the details, but with the prices they are charging I do expect more. The floor could use a cleaning and tables need to be revarnished. They are sticky and look really used. The chairs look reupholstered but their legs really need a cleaning or touch up. The rugs are dark and gross looking and add to the overall dirty look of the place. The hibachi girl is open to the restaurant, which is nice to see, however it needs better ventilation as I left there feeling oily and smelling like cooked food. Again, the service and the chefs were friendly and really nice! I hate giving a pseudo bad review to good people. Please take this as constructive criticism! I only live a few blocks away. I'd come more often if you got your act together! Let me know when you do!

This place is excellent! Great food, ambiance, music, and service. Had a great time with a group of friends and everyone loved the food and drinks. Staff are very nice, friendly and attentive. They also have a great music playlist! Would definitely return!

What can I say about this place We love it!! Now, I know there are sooo many sushi places out there but being an ex restaurant owner I know your staff are key and essential to making your business shine and make customers feel at home. Me and my daughter come here every Saturday after she's done at work and always get the best service from our favorite waitress Aly !!! She really is amazing and always smiling and making our experience wonderful. Congratulations Sushi Sake Killian !! We love this place Come check them out .... They won't disappoint

So we had ordered a long time ago from this place and we loved how big the rolls were and also they were very tasty. Today we decided to have sushi again and we ordered for delivery, but I was very disappointed. The rolls don't taste as delicious as they once were and the were so tiny! The roll was smaller than my hand (see pic) Also, when I called to make the order and said I was paying by card they put me on hold for over 10min while the guy figured how to take the payment. I had to call back and tell them I was ok paying cash. I gave it 2 stars because they delivered earlier than expected and because the sushi was ok.

I've been coming here for a while... never disappoints! Good prices, good portions, nice presentation, clean place. Sushi is really good and i really like the lunch specials.

    Beautiful presentation.

Amanda is an excellent waitress. She will do well in her marketing degree endeavor. The food was delicious.

Sushi Sake locations have been popping up all over the place so we decided to give this spot a try on Saturday afternoon. The menu has lots of variety and most of the exciting roll options are between $11-17. We went for the JB Roll and the Crunchy Roll as well as an order of steamed shrimp shumai. I think my favorite thing we had was the sauce that came with the shumai- something of a Miso Mayo dipping sauce that was super tasty! The rolls themselves were also good- of the two my favorite was the JB Roll. Everyone around us seemed to be ordering the fried rice, which looked and smelled delicious. The service left a bit to be desired. There was only one server who was also acting as the host so although food was coming out of the kitchen, it took a bit to get to our table. He was doing his best, but it's definitely a lot of work to handle an entire restaurant. Overall I think for the quality of service and food this spot is a bit pricey.

(Please read and do not come here) Here goes my first ever Yelp review! I really wish my first review was a positive one. Last night I reunited with an old friend from high school. Class of 2012 :) We were both super excited on our way to Sushi Sake already deciding on the way there what to order. I love sushi sake, and I've probably ordered more than 100 times in my life from, but this location had the worst service I had ever experienced. We both walked in and sat down at the corner right in front of the chefs. The waiter came up to us and took our order. We ordered 1 Angel roll, 1 beef Tataki, and a steak fried rice with no veggies. The food was delicious, and I definitely enjoyed it, but before we were delivered our meals to our table, I looked over by the chef for a second, and immediately notice the chef with the same glove finder picking and dipping with the SAME glove eating something from the Ingredients section where he makes the sushi.... I was so disgusted.. like why? Why would you do such a thing in front of customers? I saw his mouth open: saw him chewing, going back and getting more.. I asked the waiter if he could please have another chef cook because im not vaccinated at the moment, I don't know where his hands have been, and im concerned only because he's making our food and doing this.. during a time when covid is still around. The waiter then told me that they are required to change their gloves after. Are you serious? After? I saw him dip with the same gloves then when he was done eating that's when I saw him change his gloves... that's very unsanitary. We finally got our food. As we were eating usually you see waiters come and take the empty plates and at least provide napkins and give you the serve you pay for ($tip) The waiter completely forgot about us. It was a young boy I didn't catch his name, but he never came to take our plates so we just we kept piling our plates to the side. We literally had a collection around our table and I am not exaggerating. He never came to even ask if we needed anything else and we both didn't get any refills on our water. I don't want to be the one to ask you how to work.. that's what waiters do. After we finished our meal we sat there for about 20 mins just waiting and talking and our waiter was no where to be found, so I called over another waiter who happen to be the manager on shift. Her name was Damaris. I asked her nicely if we could please have our check since we were already done for a while now. She left and came back with our checks and we both gave her our cards to split. When she came back we received 3 different receipts. As I was reading the receipts I thought it was odd that I was changed $40.00 and so did my friend. The ordered she charged us for was a $80.00 order and the entire receipt listed items we never ordered like soups, salads, etc. I called her over and told her she charged us both for the wrong order and she came back with another receipt and apologized and it was the correct receipt this time and the bill was around $49.68 and since we were splitting the bill, $24.84 each. While I was talking to Damaris trying to explain to her that I would like her to reverse the 2- $40.23 charges she literally responds me saying "listen" she didn't make any sense with what she was saying explaining to me that I would receive my money back by 3:00 pm. I woke up this morning, called my back to verify everything and my bank advised me I was changed 3 times from sushi sake. I charged a separate amount of $80.46 for a meal I never ate and never reversed the money for. Not to mention my friend was also charged 3 times. So we both paid sushi sake $80.46 and our originally spit payment of $24.84. I called her today and was told to come in to the restaurant to fix it again other today or tomorrow. Worse experience eating at a sushi sake. Best Regards, Naivy

The waitress said they don't have not cracked ones. Sad thing

Can I put minus one star? I use to live in another area and sushi sake there is pretty good. But this one... oh total failure. My boyfriend and I walked in, got a table, the waitress didn't give us the menu, she went to the table where people just left and started checking how much tips they left for her. Sure. It couldn't wait. I asked for water because it was very hot and I was extremely thirsty. Do you think I go it? No way lol. She started cleaning another table, chatting with the guy and only after that I got water. I'm still grateful I got it eventually. I asked to change a soy sauce bowl because it was cracked. Not a big deal. But right after we got soups in cracked soup bowls. When I asked to change it, the server said they don't have any non cracked bowls. Whaaaaat? I think right now I should call the health department. It's ok, I ate the soup. And I ordered tempura bagel roll.... Ahhhh... definitely not my day. My roll didn't have tempura(check the pic). When I told the waitress about my roll, that it doesn't look how it supposed to look and it has NO tempura. She said: "that's how this chef makes it" I really tried to eat it. I ate one peace and I couldn't. So if that's really the chef, hello chef, you're s@ck. Outcome: bad service, bad food, cracked dishes, dirty bench. And oh yes, dirty sticky table, I had to ask to clean it.

My husband ordered the picadillo with rice and black beans, my son had the vaca frita with rice and black beans, and both enjoyed a side of tostones. I chose the rionada with congrí and sweet plantains. Overall, the food was delicious, flavorful, and satisfying. The only disappointment was the tostones. They were a bit bland and not as crispy as we prefer. Everything else, however, was excellent. The service was outstanding; friendly, attentive, and efficient, even with the restaurant packed. Every area was bustling, from the dining room to the bakery and takeout counters, yet everything seemed well organized. The restaurant itself was clean and very well maintained. To finish our meal, the three of us shared a flan, and it was absolutely delicious; the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. I have to admit, we were enjoying our conversation so much that I completely forgot to take pictures! That's probably a good sign that we were too busy enjoying the food and each other's company. Versailles remains one of Miami's iconic Cuban restaurants, and it's definitely a place worth visiting. We'll certainly be back.

For the HH snacks, we got the shrimp and the pork dumplings and we all agreed the Shrimp Dumpling was the favorite. It's sauce was soy-based, while the pork had kind of a curry base. We really went for a Birthday reservation. So after happy hour at the bar we moved over to our table. And order more drinks and more good eats! I suggested the Edemame Hummus (again) [still amazing!]. But we also got the Octopus and Imperial Eggrolls. Side note - our server Natalia was really kind to our very active table of two checks and 8 people. She went over the menu, and she was so convincing we ordered everything that she talked about. She even asked if I wanted a drink and I didn't at first, but then she went on to talk about the Upper East Side, and I was sold. For the main entrees, we shared the Branzino which is market price, the Millionaire Rice, and the Bo Luc Lac (filet mignon). All were amazing. I'd ordered it all again. Will definitely be back.

As someone who follows a plant-based lifestyle, it's not always easy finding Latin restaurants that don't use animal products in their beans, so I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they don't. And when I tell you these are the BEST restaurant beans I've ever had, I mean it. WOW. We actually discovered this place by accident two weeks ago when the restaurant we originally planned to visit was closed on a Monday. We needed something nearby, so I jumped on Yelp, saw the great reviews, and decided to give it a try. I wasn't expecting much, but I was completely impressed. Everything we've tried has been simple, fresh, and delicious. The Ensalada Turca is my favorite and an absolute must-try. The jugo de mora is incredibly refreshing, and the sopa de frijoles with rice and maduros hit the spot so much that I ordered it both visits. The staff is warm, welcoming, and attentive, always making sure you have everything you need. The restaurant itself is small and unassuming, decorated with beautiful cultural touches. The music playing in the background instantly took me back to my childhood, reminding me of the songs my mom and grandma used to play on the radio at home. Overall, this is a hidden gem that's absolutely worth seeking out. We've already been back twice, and we'll definitely be returning again.

And since experiencing his Disney Springs restaurant Morimoto Asia, I had been looking forward for him to come to Miami. This was a couple of years back during the cooler season in Miami. RESTAURANT: I just know that this location is going to be beautiful. Chef Morimoto restaurants are worldwide and so I was not disappointed to see how beautiful this restaurant was and how perfectly complemented the vibe of the Wynwood scene. The restaurant doors open to the street, which was perfect during our winter visit. Inside is an open floor plan with a variety of seating options from the izakaya style table, banquet dining against the wall, to the huge bar. There are even covered seating outside that reminded me of New York. Decor is both minimal but with burst of colors with his signature wall art and backlit panels against the wall. And ofcourse, it won't be an authentic Japanese restaurant without the a display of hyper-realistic food models which can be found as soon as you enter the restaurant to entice your taste buds. Everything just looked sleaked and clean and love the pop of green from the huge fig trees. SERVICE: Service was amazing. From the moment we entered, we were greeted and seated right away for our reservation. Our server answered all of our questions and suggested some fruity cocktails. And lo and behold, owner Chef Morimoto himself presented us with our food and torched it right infront of us! He was so polite and humble and wonderful. We watched him moved from one side of the restaurant to the other with the endurance of a guy in his 20s and he's like 60 something! He did not stop. It was such a treat to have him in our table and how he indulged us when we chanted "Iron Chef! Iron Chef!". It was an amazing experience. FOOD: The menu have the right amount of options, from finger food to ramen, sushi and not to mention the drinks. For starters, pork belly and soft shell crab bao and bbq ribs. Deliciousness! The buns warm and pillowy. The pork, so tender. But that soft shell crab...that made me want to slap someone it was so good. Flavorful, no fishiness whatsoever, crunch on the outside and just happiness on the inside. I will eat a million of these. Then my friend ordered some Yakitori fresh from the grill: chicken, pork belly, shrimp, wagyu. They were simple, fresh and so fingerlicking good. Then the ramen; tonkotsu and gyukotsu. On this cold evening, it was exactly what we needed. These two huge bowls we passed around our table of six. The broth were divine! The pork belly was so delicate that it melts in your mouth. The beef falling off the bones were so tender and delicious. Sushi rolls: spider roll and the surf and turf. The spider roll with that soft shell crab was bomb. But the that A5 wagyu surf and turf was the star of the show. It comes out as raw slices on a roll and Chef Morimoto came out and torched it himself next to our table! I don't know if it tasted spectacular because it's wagyu or because the chef himself had torched it but this was my favorite! Overall, this was the most memorable dining experience I've had in a long time. I am sure that fangirling over the Iron Chef was the main reason but it seems that everything just fell into place for us that evening. Parking was literally next door in the garage, super easy no drama. Service was next level, maybe because the boss was there but we were not going to complain. And the food, impeccable! Pricepoint is just reasonable considering the quality, quantity and the location. It is definitely worth the trip coming here and I can't wait to visit again soon to see if everything will be the same without the Chef Morimoto around. I have a feeling it will be just as wonderful.
